Lance spent nearly four decades as the voice of the Memphis territory, and he’s one of the greatest wrestling announcers ever to speak into a mic. His smooth delivery and distinctive style was unrivaled. Whether using his expertise to guide an inexperienced young wrestler through a TV promo or describing the action in the ring in his almost poetic style, he always delivered amazing work! There will never be another like Lance Russell. The CAC looks forward to honoring him!
Fittingly, Russell will be presented with the Announcer’s Award by the biggest star ever to set foot in a Memphis territory wrestling ring – Jerry “The King” Lawler! Lawler is one of the best talkers ever, so his intro for Russell, the man who called his greatest matches, will surely be something to remember.
