OWW Women’s Wrestling Columnist Eric Holt chooses his M.V.D.- Most Valuable Diva(s) of the week, based on television matches, promos, and/ or segments.
On this week’s episode of Main Event, a match up that never fails to impress took place: Alicia Fox vs Natalya. Every time a diva fan hears that an Alicia Fox vs Natalyais going to take place, they instantly know that it’s going to be a great match, and this week on Main event, their match was just as great as all their other matches from the past.
Alicia and Natalya have some of the best chemistry I’ve ever seen from the divas. Everything just flows and gels well together in their matches. When you combine Alicia’s foxy style of wrestling and Natalya’s technical style of wrestling, you’re bound to see a great match.
Alicia in my opinion is the most underrated diva on the roster today. This girl has personality, charisma, and wonderful wrestling skills. Alicia Fox may have come from a modeling background, but she has proven time and time again that models can make great wrestlers. She’s in fact one of my favorite models-turned-wrestler. It’s unfortunate that someone as talented and charismatic as Alicia Fox never really gets pushes and has to be a jobber. However, things could possibly change for Alicia Fox. WWE.com recently listed Alicia Fox as one of the most underrated superstars on the roster currently. Could this be a sign that WWE is going to push Alicia Fox? I sure hope so, because Alicia Fox DESERVES a push. Who knows, if Natalya wins the Divas Championship from AJ, maybe Alicia Fox could be next in line for a title shot. I could just picture seeing star-quality matches between Natalya and Alicia Fox for the Divas Championship on PPVs.
Natalya as always put on a great match. I feel like out of all of the divas on the current roster, Alicia brings out the best in Natalya, and Natalya brings out the best in Alicia. Why is that? Because both girls have that chemistry and history that makes for a great divas match. Natalya’s win over Alicia give her momentum heading into her Divas Championship match against AJ at TLC. If Natalya wins this Sunday, maybe we could see Natalya feud with Alicia over the title as I mentioned before. A full-blown Natalya vs Alicia feud would be something that not only I would like to see, but a lot of diva fans would also like to see that happen as well. Now if only WWE could make it happen.
