owwlodi Jobs @ OWW

I think we can all agree that Online World of Wrestling.com is HUGE. But there are still plenty of things to do and I am only one man. There are also dozens of people working with me, and hundreds over the years, to help make OWW as complete as humanly possible. OWW is, and always has been, a website for the fans, and by the fans, and appreciated by everybody. There are just a few things that need fine tuning and this is a messege to reach to those of you who might be able to help out, but aren’t sure how to become apart of the OWW phenomenon. Below you will see a list of ‘odd jobs’ that need to be done for the website. If you see something that interests you, then I encourage you to hop on board and start contributing to the site you love so much. We have such a huge opportunity to make something great, even greater! With your help we can be the greatest!

Please note that these positions are not paid. Nobody gets paid here at OWW. We all do it for the love of wrestling and the passion we share deep inside. The advertisements and popups are put there by the web host to pay for web space and bandwidth. I don’t see a dime of it.

In return, you will by credited by having your name added to the growing list of “contributors” seen on the Contact page.

Also please advise that if you choose to contribute information, do not simply “copy & paste” from other websites. And do not just say “Here’s a website you can find info on”.. Try to submit the information as close as possible to the OWW format as it appears on the site. — ALL Contributions can be sent to oww@OnlineWorldofWrestling.com

  1. Profile Match List Compilations: A lot of the indy profiles START with matches that took place after the day I created the profile. So there are lots of wrestler profiles that could be looked at and gone back to compile match results all throughout their career that I may have missed for one reason or another. Feel free to use google, or use the extensive collection of results on OWW. This is a tidius task and anybody who is up for the challege has my undying respect and graditude.
  2. Promotion Correspondents: Do you regularly attend events run by one or more local independent promotions in your area? Sign up now as an official correspondent with OWW. Your duties would include simply sending in results for the shows. You could go one step further and get some good clear close-up photos of any wrestlers that appear on the shows and contribute them to OWW. If you really want a challenge, you can approach the promoter and introduce yourself as a member of OWW.com and let them know what OWW is doing for them. Heck, you may get free admission if they know you’re helping to promote them - but don’t hold your breath or press your luck. You may also chose to approach the wrestlers and ask them about information pertaining to their profiles. What you do or don’t do is up to you, as long as you send in results for the shows that you attend. You will have your name placed on the Correspondents Contact page in exchange for your efforts!
  3. OVW Correspondents: I am desperately in need of a reliable people to come on board and become VERY VALUABLE members of our correspondents team to send in regular results for Ohio Valley Wrestling TV Tapings. I have several correpondents signed up now and they are great people but haven’t been coming through with results on a weekly basis. Please help make OWW even better and contact me if you are prepared to make a commitment. Thanks…
  4. Regional Representatives: This is similar to being a “promotional correspondent” but somewhat different. If you feel you have above average knowledge of a specific region of the wrestling globe — such as Japan, Mexico, Australia, Western Canada, The UK, Texas, California or wherever — then sign up immediately. These is less work involved with this as basically you would only be available for questions pertaining to your area of expertise. You can go one step further and help contribute content to the website whereever you see fit. What you do or don’t do is up to you, and this also includes all you historians out there to jump on board and help bring the past into the present. You will have your name placed on the Correspondents Contact page in exchange for your efforts!
  5. Researchers: The OWW Website is a never-ending process. There’s always something to be done. There’s always a blank that needs to be filled. If you want to become part of the OWW research team all you need to do is read the 5 Commandments for Researchers and get started. Your name might end up on our Content Contributors or if and when your contributions become consistantly solid, your name will be added to the official Researchers page.
  6. We’re still looking for pictures of the following people: (PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT SEND PHOTOS FROM WWE or OVW or DSW or UPW or NWA FL)

Also if a name is CLICKABLE, please click the name to see the profile and check to see if I already have the photo so that you DO NOT SEND DUPLICATES! Thank you for helping OWW!
