In The Beginning:

  • Devon Hughes grew up in a deeply religious family, his parents are in fact core members of the local church.
  • Devon Hughes was a huge Hulk Hogan fan while growing up.
  • Devon Hughes is married and has two twin sons, Terrell and Terrence.
  • ~~~The tattoo on his left bicep reads “Terrell and Terrence Daddy’s boys 4 life”.

  • Scott Levy (Raven) came up with the idea and concept of The Dudley Boyz gimmick.
  • April 13, 1996 – Massacre on Queens Blvd: D-Von Dudley debuted in Extreme Championship Wrestling.
  • D-Von was the “black Dudley” – a persona based on the Samuel L. Jackson character in “Pulp Fiction”.
  • D-Von Dudley formed one of the greatest tag teams of all time with Bubba Ray Dudley known as The Dudley Boyz.

  • January 20, 2000 – SmackDown: Matt Hardy defeated D-Von Dudley by disqualification.
  • January 31, 2000 – Raw: Christian defeated D-Von Dudley.
  • February 14, 2000 – RAW: D-Von Dudley defeated Jeff Hardy and Edge in a 3-way match.
  • March 6, 2000 – RAW: Mark Henry defeated D-Von Dudley.

  • July 9, 2001 – RAW: The Acolytes defeated The Dudley Boyz for the Tag Team titles.
  • ~~~Later that night, Paul Heyman reunited a group of ECW Alumni to mix things up in the WCW Invasion situation.
  • ~~~Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, Lance Storm, Mike Awesome, Tazz, Raven, Rhyno, Justin Credible, and the Dudley Boyz.
  • ~~~Heyman says that the InVasion just got Extreme, and that ECW will take on WCW and WWF.
  • ~~~By the end of the night it was all a set up and Paul Heyman was actually in cahoots with Shane McMahon and WCW.
  • October 18, 2001 – SmackDown: Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated D-Von Dudley.

  • January 2002: Tazz and Spike Dudley defeated The Dudleyz to capture the Tag Team titles.
  • WrestleMania X-8: Billy and Chuck beat The Hardyz and Dudleyz and APA in a 4-WAY to retain the Tag Team titles.
  • March 25, 2002 – RAW: DVon Dudley was drafted by Vince McMahon for the WWF SmackDown Brand. #8.
  • ~~~Bubba Ray Dudley was drafted by Ric Flair to the RAW brand, thus breaking up the Dudleyz as a tag team!

  • ~~~The finish saw D-Von Dudley come out and help his brother Bubba Dudley win the match, becoming the sole survivor.

World Wrestling Entertainment – The Dudley Reunion:

  • November 18, 2002 – RAW: The Dudleyz (Bubba/DVon/Spike) defeated Rosey and Jamal and Rico in a six-man match.
  • November 25, 2002 – RAW: Chris Jericho and Christian defeated The Dudleyz to retain the World Tag Team titles.
  • ~~~The match was restared twice by new ‘chief of staff’ Sean Morley due to ‘rule violations’.
  • ~~~After the match, the Dudleyz stole Jericho and Christian’s clothes and bags while they are in the shower.
  • ~~~Jericho and Christian ran around all night, wearing towels, searching for their belongings.
  • ~~~The Dudleyz tossed their bags into the audience as Spike pulled off their towels leaving them buck naked!
  • December 9, 2002 – RAW: Trish and The Dudleyz defeated Victoria/Jericho/Christian in an Intergender Tables match!
  • December 15, 2002 – Armageddon: Booker/Goldust defeated Jericho/Chistian, Storm/Regal and Dudleyz to win the Tag team titles!
  • December 16, 2002 – RAW: Lance Storm and William Regal defeated The Dudleyz after Regal used the brass knux on DVon!
  • January 13, 2003 – RAW: The Dudleyz are SUSPENDED by Eric Bischoff, but are later reinstated by Vince McMahon!!
  • January 19, 2003 – Royal Rumble: The Dudley Boyz defeated William Regal and Lance Storm to win the World Tag Team titles!
  • January 20, 2003 – RAW: William Regal and Lance Storm cheat the Dudleyz out of the Tag Team titles with help from Sean Morley.

  • March 10, 2003 – RAW: Lance Storm and Chief Morley defeated DVon Dudley in a Handicap match.
  • March 24, 2003 – RAW: Kane and Rob Van Dam defeated The Dudley Boyz to win a title shot on HEAT before Wrestlemania!
  • ~~~The Dudleyz have apparently RELUCTANTLY joined the Bischoff administration and are helping Lance Storm and Chief Morley.
  • March 31, 2003 – RAW: Kane/RVD beat Morley/Storm and The Dudleyz in a 3-WAY Eliminatation to win the Tag Team titles!
  • April 21, 2003 – RAW: The Dudley Boyz vs Spike Dudley and Trish Stratus is a no contest after Chief Morley interfered.
  • ~~~Morley ordered the Dudleyz to demolish Spike/Trish – DVon resisted, Bubba complied – RVD and Kane run in to make the save.
  • April 27, 2003 – Backlash: Kane and Rob Van Dam defeated The Dudley Boyz to retain after the Dudleyz 3D’d referee Sean Morley.
  • May 12, 2003 – RAW: The Dudley Boyz are “unsuspended” by Steve Austin, and destroy 3-Minute Warning and Rico!!
  • June 9, 2003 – RAW: Rodney Mack defeated D-Von Dudley.
  • June 15, 2003 – Bad Blood: Chris Nowinski and Rodney Mack defeated The Dudleyz when Nowinski used his face mask as a weapon.
  • ~~~Teddy Long asked DVon why he’s the one that always has to “get the tables”, which causes slight disension within the Dudleyz.
  • August 24, 2003 – Summerslam: La Resistance defeated The Dudley Boyz with help from Rob Conway (disguised as a camera man).
  • September 21, 2003 – Unforgiven: The Dudley Boyz (Bubba/DVon) beat La Resistance and Rob Conway in a Handicap Tables match!
  • ~~~The Dudley Boyz capture their 17th Championships in the Tag Team division (spanning ECW, WCW and WWE).
  • December 14, 2003 – Armageddon: Ric Flair and Batista defeated The Dudleyz for the Tag titles in a 6-Team Turmoil match.
  • January 12, 2004 – RAW: Batista defeated D-Von Dudley.
  • March 14, 2004 – WrestleMania XX: RVD/Booker defeated La Resistance, The Dudlyz and Jindrak/Cade to retain the Tag Team titles!
  • April 15, 2004 – SmackDown: D-Von Dudley defeated Doug Basham in a match taped for Velocity.
  • March 15, 2004 – RAW: Booker T and Rob Van Dam defeated The Dudley Boyz (Bubba and DVon) to retain the Tag Team titles.
  • March 22, 2004 – Draft Lottery: The Dudleyz are traded to SmackDown in order to reaquire Triple H to the RAW brand.

  • March 25, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz (Bubba and DVon) defeated The Basham Brothers (Doug and Danny).
  • April 1, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz (Bubba and DVon) defeated Akio and Sakoda.
  • April 8, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz defeated WWE Tag Champs Rikishi and Scotty in a non-title match.
  • April 22, 2004 – SmackDown: Paul Heyman came out and harassed RVD/Dudleyz, but the Dudleyz turned heel and attacked RVD!
  • ~~~Later in the main event, DVon Dudley defeated Eddie Guerrero (non title) after repeated interference from Bubba Dudley.
  • May 6, 2004 – SmackDown: Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio (sub for Eddy) defeated The Dudley Boyz (DVon and Bubba).
  • May 13, 2004 – SmackDown: DVon Dudley defeated Rob Van Dam after interference by Bubba Dudley.
  • May 16, 2004 – Judgment Day: Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio defeated The Dudley Boyz (Bubba and DVon).
  • May 20, 2004 – SmackDown: Bradshaw and The Dudley Boyz defeated Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.
  • ~~~Eddie Guerrero appeared late in the match and cleaned house on the heels, but suddenly collapsed in the ring and passed out!
  • May 27, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz defeated Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio when Paul Heyman jumped the rail and interfered!
  • ~~~After the match, Paul Heyman told the Dudleyz to make an IMPACT for a change and make a victim out of somebody!
  • ~~~The Dudleyz were movivated by what Paul Heyman said and abducted Paul Bearer by tossing him in their trunk and driving away!
  • June 3, 2004 – SmackDown: Paul Heyman asked Undertaker to join he and the Dudleyz, otherwise he would NEVER see Paul Bearer AGAIN!
  • June 10, 2004 – SmackDown: The Undertaker shocks the World as he bows down to Paul Heyman recognizing the power of the urn.
  • June 17, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz defeated Charlie Haas and Rico to capture the WWE Tag Team titles!
  • June 27, 2004 – Great American Bash: The Undertaker defeated The Dudley Boyz in a “Live Free or Die” match.
  • ~~~As a result, Paul Heyman pulled a switch which was to bury Paul Bearer in concrete cement but LIGHTNING struck!
  • ~~~The Undertaker made his way to the stage and said “I have no other choice” before pulling the switch and “killing” his manager!
  • July 8, 2004 – SmackDown: Paul London and Billing Kidman defeated The Dudley Boyz to capture the WWE Tag Team titles!!!!
  • ~~~After the match, The Dudleyz confronted their opponents backstage and shook their hands to every ones surprise.
  • July 15, 2004 – SmackDown: Spike Dudley and Rey Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble with help from The Dudleyz.
  • ~~~Spike Dudley yelled at his brothers after the match and demanded they stay out of his business!
  • ~~~Later on, Paul London defeated DVon Dudley when Bubba’s interference backfired.
  • July 22, 2004 – SmackDown: Spike Dudley beat Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble in a #1 Contenders match with help from the Dudleyz!
  • ~~~Later on, Bubba Dudley defeated Billy Kidman after DVon pushed Kidman off the top rope!
  • ~~~Even later, Rey Mysterio defeated DVon Dudley when Billy Kidman interfered and pushed DVon off the top rope!
  • July 29, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudleyz interfered in a match helping Spike Dudley beat Rey Mysterio for the Cruiserweight title.
  • ~~~Later that night, Billy Kidman and Paul London defeated The Dudley Boyz with help from Rey Mysterio to retain the Tag titles.
  • August 5, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz beat Spike Dudley and Rey Mysterio when Spike turned on Rey and joined his bros!
  • August 15, 2004 – SummerSlam: Bubba, DVon and Spike Dudley defeated Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman and Paul London.
  • August 19, 2004 – SmackDown: John Cena defeated D-Von Dudley.
  • September 9, 2004 – SmackDown: Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam and Hardcore Holly beat The Dudley Boyz (Spike, DVon and Bubba).
  • September 16, 2004 – SmackDown: Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio defeated The Dudley Boyz (Bubba and DVon w/Spike).
  • ~~~Spike Dudley yelled at his brothers and kicked DVon between the legs and slapped Bubba around saying “I’M THE BOSS!!”
  • October 3, 2004 – No Mercy: Rico and Charlie Haas and Miss Jackie defeated The Dudley Boyz and Dawn Marie.
  • November 4, 2004 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz tried unsuccessfully to “take out” The Big Show on behalf of Kurt Angle.
  • February 9, 2005 – OVW: MNM (Joey Matthews and Johnny Nitro w/Melina Perez) beat The Dudley Boyz (Bubba and DVon).
  • March 23, 2005 – OVW: Tommy Dreamer and The Dudley Boyz defeated Lance Storm and MNM (Matthews and Nitro w/Melina).

ECW One Night Stand:

  • June 2, 2005 – SmackDown: The Dudley Boyz appear in a short vignette promoting the ECW PPV by lighting a Table on fire!
  • June 5, 2005 – Live Event (SmackDown crew): The Dudley Boyz beat Carlito Cool and Matt Morgan in a ECW-rules Tables match.
  • June 6, 2005 – RAW: Chris Benoit defeated Gene Snitsky when the Dudley Boyz showed up and 3D’d Snitsky through a table!
  • ~~~Later on: Eric Bischoff and the anti-ECW crusaders (Edge/Christin/Tomko) called out Paul Heyman and The Dudleyz.
  • ~~~Paul Heyman came out with the Dudleyz to cut a promo on Bischoff and then said “ECW never backs down from a fight”.
  • ~~~Eric Bischoff then called out some additional “Crusaders” to stack the deck against Heyman and The Dudleyz.
  • ~~~Paul Heyman acted scared, but then declared. ECW NEVER BACKS DOWN FROM A FIGHT and pointed to the rafters.
  • ~~~Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Rhyno, Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten showed up and the brawl insued with ECW coming out on top!
  • June 12, 2005 – ECW One Night Stand: The Dudley Boyz defeated Tommy Dreamer and Sandman in a match filled with surprises.
  • ~~~The finish came when Spike Dudley brought out lighter fluid and The Dudleyz put Tommy Dreamer through a flaming table!!
  • ~~~After the main event was over, Steve Austin showed up after the main event to throw a beer bash in honor of ECW.
  • ~~~Steve Austin, surrounded by ECW, challenegd the anti-ECW crusaders sitting in the balcony to come to the right for a fight!
  • ~~~The anti-ECW crusaders came down and squared off with ECW in a huge brawl which ended with ECW standing TALL!!
  • July 1, 2005 – OVW Six Flags: The Dudley Boyz and Chris Cage beat Ken Anderson and The Blonde Bombers (Tank and Chad Toland).
  • July 6, 2005: Bubba, DVon and Spike Dudley are all released from their WWE contracts along with a dozen or so others.

Team 3-D:

  • August 2005: All the Dudleyz received legal notices from WWE warning them not to use the trademarked “Dudley” name in future.
  • August 27, 2005 – WrestleReunion: Team 3-D beat Matt Hardy and Rhino (Rhino accidentally gored Hardy through a table for the pin).
  • 2005: They filed trademarks on “The Deadly Brothers”, “Brother Ray Deadly”, “Brother Devon Deadly” and “Deadly Death Drop”.
  • September 10, 2005 – Wrestle Reunion: Team 3-D (former Dudleys) defeated The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton).
  • September 16, 2005 – Hardcore Homecoming: Team 3-D (Ray and Devon) defeated Balls Mahoney and Ian Rotten.
  • September 23, 2005 – NYWC: Plazma and Team 3-D (BRD and Devon) defeated Dickie Rodz and Mason Raige and Crusher Doogan.
  • October 1, 2005 – TNA IMPACT: Jeff Jarrett and America’s Most Wanted bragged about pulling off the “controversy in Canada”.
  • ~~~3-Live Krew ran in, followed by Team Canada, followed by the surprising debut of Team 3-D, and return of Kevin Nash!
  • October 2, 2005 – WRESTLE-1 GP: Team 3-D (Ray and Devon) defeated Johnny Stamboli and Chuck Palumbo in JAPAN.
  • October 5, 2005 – World Series Wrestling: Team 3-D (as Bubba and D-Von) beat Lobo and Aaron Aguilera in a No-disqualification Tornado match.
  • October 7, 2005 – World Series Wrestling: Team 3-D (as Bubba and D-Von) beat Lee Starr and Aaron Aguilera in Australia.
  • October 8, 2005 – World Series Wrestling: Team 3-D (as Bubba and D-Von) beat Aaron Aguilera and ???? in Australia. li>October 8, 2005 – TNA IMPACT: Team 3-D defeated America’s Most Wanted by Disqualification when Gail Kim interfered!
  • ~~~Jeff Jarrett ran down and joined AMW and Gail Kim in demolishing Team 3-D and leaving them unconsious in a pool of blood.
  • October 15, 2005 – TNA IMPACT: Jeff Jarrett and America’s Most Wanted threw an elaborate mock funeral in memory of Team 3-D.
  • October 29, 2005 – TNA IMPACT: Team 3-D vowed to make everyone who took part in the funeral pay for doing what they did.
  • November 3, 2005 – TNA IMPACT: Team 3-D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) beat Team Canada (Eric Young and Bobby Roode).
  • November 4, 2005 – Hardcore Homecoming: Team 3-D defeated Sabu and Terry Funk with help from Matt Hyson (Spike Dudley).
  • November 12, 2005 – TNA IMPACT: Jeff Jarrett and America’s Most Wanted w/Gail Kim beat Jeff Hardy and Lance Hoyt and Chris Sabin.
  • ~~~Jeff Jarrett, AMW and Gail Kim continued the beat-down after the match until Rhino and Team 3-D all made the save!
