1969: Gino Sannizzaro, son of New England promoter Tony Santos, was working in Florida under the name Gene Dundee.. ~~~Tony Santos did not want Gino Sannizzaro wrestling so he called Eddie Graham and asked him not to book his son.. ~~~Eddie Graham agreed so Gene Dundee moved up to the Gulf Coast to work for Lee Fields.. Gene Dundee put a blonde streak through his hair and was renamed "Flash Monroe" and teamed with Rocket Monroe for 6 years! The Monroes (Sputnik/Rocket/Flash) would team up to raise havoc in which ever territory they were in.. January 15, 1969: NWA: Don Carson & Dick Dunn defeated Rocket Monroe & Flash Monroe to win the Gulf Coast Tag Team title... March 12, 1969: NWA: Rocket Monroe & Flash Monroe defeated Bob Kelly & Ramon Perez to win the Gulf Coast Tag Team title...
