  • 1969 & 1970: Frankie Cain worked in Tennessee & Florida as the masked “Mephisto” with the masked Dante (Bobby Hart) as his partner..
  • ~~~In Tenn. (’69), they used Saul Weingeroff as their manager & in Florida (1969-’70) they used Sir Roger Mitchell as their manager..
  • 1980: Frankie Caine (drastically made over) worked as a referee in Championship Wrestling from Florida..
  • May 2010: The Great Mephisto (Frankie Cain) suffered a massive heart attack – He is convelesing at home in Florida.

    Tom wrote: The Great Mephisto had quite a good feud with Pat Petterson in the San Francisco/Sacramento area. He used a loaded boot (not listed in your gimmicks list currently). At the end of the feud Patterson knocked Mephisto out and stole the boot (on TV no less!) then used it at their last house show meeting to run him out of town. As a side note to great writing back then, Patterson resurrected the boot in a match about a year later but did not mention Mephisto by name.
