Dale Pierce wrote: At the height of his career in Arizona, Mann was fireballed by Ron Dupree after the latter left his stable and spent months wearing these stupid looking bandages on his face, like The Mummy. In a later bout, Dupree vowed to use the fireball as well, on Chris Colt. Colt and Mann brought a tub of water into the ring and threw it on him before the bout, to put out the flames before he could utilize them. Mann left Arizona to live in California, Nevada and California again before dying from cancer.
