Les Thatcher wrote: I worked an angle in Knoxville with partner Whitey Caldwell against Ron & Don Wright. They cheated to beat us for the tag belts on TV, and then said they would never give us a return. We came back a couple of weeks later as the masked Avengers in all White to earn a shot. The deal was till I spoke on TV because my voice was so easy to spot no one, and I mean not even the announcer, knew who we were. Then we started a program with them, and to take it one step further, and so as to draw it out, we added another hook. When Ron bitched on TV that I was an Avenger the next week at the house show we put Dennis hall in my masked outfit, and I sat ringside with teh Avengers, then he said it was Whitey, and the next week Dennis and I wore the masks and Whitey sat ringside.
