Even though Mana is announced as a Samoan from San Francisco, he is originally from New Zealand and is of Maori decent.. Mana (as a fan) began gaining interest in becoming a pro wrestler after a inspiring conversation with the Barbarian after a show.. Mana packed his bags and moved to the United States after being accepted as a student for the Wild Samoan Training Center.. Mana was named WXW 2001 Most Outstanding Wrestler.. Mana became the Fastest Graduate from the Wild Samoan Training Center, graduating in 60 days! ~~~Mana breaks Billy Kidman's record who graduated in 96 days.. Mana spends the beginnings of his career wrestling independent circuits in New Jersey, House of Pain (Maryland) and ISPW..
