Ron "The Golden Gladiator" Hill was Kevin Sullivan's original trainer in Massachusetts.. August 27, 2008: Ron Hill passed away at the age of 73 from complications after hip replacement surgery.. Rick Hill (Ron's son) wrote: [My father] picked up gimmick of Cowboy because he worked at a wild west show and they started calling him "Cowboy" when he would show up to wrestle.
