	1920s: The Detroit territory dates back to sometime in the 1920's when it was run by Nick Londos & Adam Weissmueller.. Harry Light owned the Detroit Promotion when the National Wrestling Alliance was founded.. Harry Light is credited as being one of the six founding members of the N.W.A.. 1958: Johnny Doyle & Jim Barnett bought the promotion from Harry Light.. 1964: Ed Farhat (aka the Sheik) & Francis Flescher bought out Johnny Doyle & Jim Barnett.. The Detroit promotion broadcasted their weekly TV program called "Big Time Wrestling".. December 1980: The Detroit NWA promotion stopped promoting in Detroit.. Edward Farhat continued to promote in Flint Michigin semi-regularly for about a year.. ~~~Also promoted on and off in the Detroit area until the early 1990's..
