LordsofPain.net writer Daniel Pena reports that MVP recently spoke with Wrestling101.com and addressed the possibility of returning to WWE after departing from the sports-entertainment organization two years ago.

“There is a very likely possibility, I feel like I’ve got some unfinished business there,” said the Miami, Florida-based wrestler. “I would say there is a very realistic chance if it’s up to me barring injury or any unforeseen circumstances, before it is all said and done I will probably show up in a WWE ring again.”

MVP, who entered professional wrestling in 2002 after completing 9½ years of an 18½ year prison sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, explained what it was like to make it in WWE after competing on the independent circuit.

“The WWE is the NFL or the Premier League it is the top of the tops. For me Japan was my dream and the WWE was my goal, so making it to the WWE and actually standing in that ring for the first time in front of millions of people nationally and tens of millions of people internationally, I was there, I was at the show!” he says. “It was so real, that’s the best way I can describe it. It took a while before I was actually able to believe it was happening.”

The two-time WWE United States Champion says his career highlight would be competing at WrestleMania 23 against a wrestler he idolized, the late Chris Benoit.

“I have so many but I would definitely have to say my very first WrestleMania wrestling the late Chris Benoit who was one of my in-ring idols, talk about surreal – a guy I used to watch on tape for years and then being on the biggest show in the biggest company standing across the ring from the guy I idolized,” said MVP.

“Wrestling Ric Flair at Madison Square Garden at the Royal Rumble was another career highlight and I’ve been fortunate to have quite a few but those two really stand out.”

MVP also discussed what it was like to have Vince McMahon as his boss: “I say this, he’s hard but he’s fair, there are people that say to me, MVP you should have had a world title run, you should have had this you should have had that. Vince McMahon made me two promises when I started he said, ‘MVP I promise you, you are going to have a lot of fun and you’re going to make a lot of money’, he kept his promises to me.

“When I asked him to be released so I could go to Japan to follow a dream he gave me that as well, so I can’t tell you anything bad about Vince, not from my personal experiences with him.”

Elsewhere in the interview, MVP discusses his friendship with Booker T, teaming with Matt Hardy, competing in Japan, and more.
