VIDEO RECAP: The Show began with footage being shown of Genesis. With interviews from Kurt Angle, Matt Morgan, and the new TNA champion Mr. Anderson. After that was over they showed footage of Jeff Jarrett arriving at the iMPACT Zone in a limo with the former Mrs. Karen Angle in tow. She is now Mrs. Karen Jarrett. Mike Tenay said “this could be UNCOMFORTABLE.”

IN THE RING
Mr. Anderson & Matt Morgan + Eric Biscoff: The NEW TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, Mr. Anderson, came out to the ring with the Jeff Hardy custom-made belt. He used a regular TNA microphone. He referred to the WWE as “over there” and the crowd openly booed. Anderson criticized the creative control that was held over his head at WWE. Anderson implied that Triple H squashed his push. He credited the creative team in TNA, including Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Dixie Carter, and Vince Russo, for allowing him to be the “asshole” that he is today. Anderson asked Matt Morgan to come down to the ring so that he could thank him. Surprisingly, when Morgan arrived Anderson really did thank him. Morgan talked about how he’s been trying to become the best in the business and how he has his eyes on the championship title as well. He said tonight was for Anderson’s party and congratulated him on having won the championship, shook Anderson’s hand, and left. After Morgan was off camera, Eric Bischoff came out. Eric accepted sole credit for inviting Anderson to TNA. Bischoff told Anderson that he would have a rematch with Jeff Hardy on February 3rd for the LIVE episode of iMPACT. Bischoff said Hulk Hogan will be back and everything will be right in the world. Anderson got into Bischoff’s face and shouted him down but Jeff Hardy appeared on the giant monitor predicting that the championship would his again. Suddenly, from off camera RVD punched Jeff Hardy in the face and knocked Hardy down. RVD continued the assault until Matt Hardy joined in the fight. Matt & Jeff were beating on RVD until Anderson ran backstage to change things around but then the rest of Immortal joined in and Anderson & RVD didn’t stand a chance after that. Immortal left Anderson & RVD lying on the ground.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Jeff Jarrett & Karen Jarrett: Jeff made sure that Karen was ready for this. Karen said that after sitting at home for the past two years and she’s never been more ready in her life.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm) defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) to retain the TNA World Tag Team titles: Before the match began, the Machine Guns were stopped just before walking to the ring to be asked what we could expect. The Machine Guns basically said they were going to get their titles back. The Machine Guns took immediate control with fast and high risk moves. Beer Money gained control for a few minutes until both Roode and Sabin attempted a cross body at the same times. Sabin was able to tag Shelley in and Shelley was able to take out both members of Beer Money. With a few quick exceptions, the Machine Guns maintained control. Storm somehow got cut and was visibly bleeding from his forehead. It went back and forth with both teams getting near falls after some impressive moves. Beer Money was able to create enough mayhem that Shelley accidentally super kicked his own partner then Beer Money performed the DWI onto Shelley to get the win.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Jeff Jarrett: Jeff stood outside the dressing room asking himself, “What the hell am I doing?” Then they cut to show Kurt Angle arriving at the iMPACT Zone just before commercial.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Rob Van Dam & Mr. Anderson: They were putting their heads together about how best to take the fight to Immortal. RVD grabbed a chair and Anderson grabbed a 2 x 4.

IN THE RING
Pope D’Angelo Dinero + Samoa Joe: The Pope stood alone in the ring and recapped for us the animosity going on between himself and Samoa Joe. But the Pope being the good hearted person that he is, forgives Samoa Joe. The Pope began addressing Joe directly but still talking to the camera. He asked Joe if he would be so forgiving if the situation were reversed. Pope then claimed that is exactly what has happened because the Pope has been following Joe and his wife around and he had footage he asked us to look at on the giant screen which Pope referred to as the Dixie-tron. On the screen was a picture of two pigs (or hogs if you prefer) obviously in the act of mating. Pope asked how Joe felt knowing that the Pope was watching them during their own time. He said he also knows that Joe and his wife recently had a child. He took it on himself to follow his wife after her “deliverance” he showed footage of a litter (farrow) of pigs feeding off of a sow. The Pope then asked Joe if Joe could forgive the Pope. That’s when Samoa Joe stormed the ring but the Pope ran out before Joe could get to him. Joe grabbed a mic. Joe called the Pope a fake and fraud. Joe warned the Pope that at some point Joe would get his hands on the pope and, “Joe’s gonna kill you.”

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Rob Van Dam & Mr. Anderson + Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm): Anderson & RVD entered the Immortal locker room area. Beer Money were the only members present. The door closed with the camera outside and we were left staring at the door while the sounds of fighting could be heard behind it. The door shook a little as we’re to assume people were being thrown against it. This lasted for about a minute or less when RVD & Anderson walked back out of the locker room. They did not show the inside of the locker room though. RVD said “now let’s go find the Hardy’s!”

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Eric Bischoff & Ric Flair & A.J. Styles + Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm): Bischoff was telling Flair & Styles that he’d just spoken to Hulk Hogan over the phone and Hogan is very angry and that under no circumstances do they not get the belt off of Anderson. Styles offered to soften him up but Flair stressed that Styles spend his time healing. They then walked into the Immortal locker room to discover the damage done by RVD & Anderson. Flair showed the most anger eventually slamming the door shut on the camera that was following them.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Jeff Jarrett & Karen Jarrett: Jeff Jarrett gave us his point of view of what happened in his match with Kurt Angle at Genesis. Jarrett said he was going out to the ring to hang up his MMA boots as an undefeated MMA fighter. He then asked Karen to not lose her temper and she said that wouldn’t be a problem, kissed him, and walked off camera.

IN THE RING
Jeff Jarrett & his Entourage + Kurt Angle + Karen Jarrett: Jeff Jarrett walked to the ring – though he didn’t rise up through the floor like in the past few weeks. He still had his entourage of body guards. When Jarrett grabbed a mic he began boasting about his MMA career. Jarrett bragged that he could have permanently injured Angle if he had chosen to. He said that behind every great man of war there is always a great woman and he introduced the “lovely and vivacious, Mrs. Karen Jarrett!” But instead of her coming to the ring Kurt Angle’s music came on and he came out on to the ramp. Each member of Jarrett’s entourage attempted to attack Angle but Angle dispatched each one very quickly until it was Angle and Jarrett in the ring. Karen came marching out from the backstage area screaming into a microphone for them to stop. Jarrett took that moment to run out of the ring. Karen continued to scream that Angle would not be stealing the joy from their lives for one more day. She announced that she would be giving her side of their story next week on iMPACT. She asked that Angle dress for the occasion because it will be a night he’ll never forget.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Kurt Angle: Kurt was throwing things in anger. A lot of what he said was censored so I couldn’t make out any coherent statements but in general he didn’t like having this personal stuff being involved in his career.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Angelina Love & Velvet Sky: Velvet didn’t understand why Angelina was teaming with Winter and wanted an explanation. Angelina didn’t know what was going on and said every time she turns around, she (Winter) is there.

TNA KNOCKOUT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Angelina Love & Winter defeated Tara & Madison Rayne to retain the TNA Knockout Tag Team titles: Angelina had control over Madison until Madison distracted the referee long enough for Tara to grab Angelina by the hair and pull her off her feet. Madison & Tara were both working on Angelina until Madison was putting on her “loaded glove” and Mickie James came ran down to the ring. Winter was distracting the referee since she was attempting to get in the ring to stop the double teaming allowing Mickie to go into the ring and pull Madison out onto the arena floor. Mickie clotheslined Madison and when Tara tried to grab Mickie from inside the ring, Mickie punched Tara in the face knocking her back. The referee was confused to see Tara falling backward and didn’t know where Madison was at all. He managed to see Mickie chasing Madison out of the arena but that was it. Angelina tagged in Winter who made Tara pass out with a choke hold to win the match.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy: Matt said they now understand how this business works. It’s about making money, stepping on people, and taking what you want. Jeff said they’re off to a good start. Jeff claimed that Anderson stole his championship.

NON (TNA TELEVISION) TITLE MATCH
Matt Morgan defeated TNA Television champion The Monster Abyss w/Ric Flair: The match went back and forth a lot with no one being in control for very long until Abyss began choking Morgan. Ric Flair even got to hit Morgan when the referee was distracted for yelling at Abyss for choking. But Morgan shortly regained control. He hit Abyss with the carbon footprint. Flair tried to interfere with the three count but failed. After Morgan got the win he tried to go after Flair and was starting to success when Rob Terry ran down and attacked Morgan. Flair, Terry, and Abyss all began beating on Morgan.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Abyss + Crimson: Amazing Red’s brother we now learn is named Crimson. Crimson was choking Abyss and telling Abyss to warn Bischoff and the others that on the 3rd “they” are coming. For every member of Immortal, “they” are coming. There’s a new “they.”

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Abyss & Eric Bischoff & Ric Flair: Abyss tried to tell Bischoff what just happened but Bischoff was giving a pep talk to the other members of Immortal and their plans for February 3rd and didn’t want to be interrupted. When he was through Abyss went over what happened and Bischoff tried to blame what Abyss was saying on Abyss having a flash back. Bischoff asked Abyss to breath deep. This seemed to appease Abyss as he left the room as requested.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson & Rob Van Dam: Anderson & RVD had their intros first and were standing in the ring. When the Hardy’s intro began Anderson & RVD ran back up the ramp to attack the Hardy’s. They all fought their way back to the ringside area with Anderson already bleeding from his forehead, they eventually got in the ring and the match officially began. Anderson & RVD got control of the match early on but only managed to keep it a couple minutes. When the commercial break was over RVD had control over Matt Hardy. But Jeff distracted RVD allowing Matt to get control. The Hardy’s continued to dominate, making a few pin attempts but RVD kept kicking out. RVD was able to kick Matt in the head this allowed RVD to tag Anderson in but Matt tagged Jeff in as well. Anderson accidentally knocked the referee out of the ring. Beer Money came running down to the ring to take advantage of the ref being out of the match. They beat up on RVD and Anderson. The referee rolled back into the ring not knowing what happened. Matt performed the twist of hate and Jeff did the swonton bomb to get the win. Rob Terry, James Storm, Robert Roode, A.J. Styles, Kazarian and Abyss joined the Hardy’s in the ring and continued to beat up on Anderson and RVD while Eric Bischoff stood at the top of the ramp and watched.
