ON STAGE (THE ABRAHAM WASHINGTON SHOW)
Abraham Washington + Zack Ryder + Shelton Benjamin: Abraham Washington came out to round of booes, yet he still responded like “thank you, thank you very much!” Washington welcomed everybody to his show, as the word “APPLAUSE” flashed on the big screen. Washington said he was excited about coming to New York, but sad that they had to go to Long Island. Washingto took a shot at David Letterman and invited Sarah Palin to be a guest on his show. Suddenly Zack Ryder interrupted and offered to pump fists with Washington. Ryder sat down on Washington’s couch and put his feet up. Washington asked Ryder what he thinks he is doing. Ryder said the only good thing to come out of Long Island is Zack Ryder. Ryder said everybody saved up to buy tickets just to hear him say woo woo woo. Washinton said he was originally scheduled to have Shelton Benjamin on the show. Ryder downplayed Benjamin and built himself up – adding that Shelton Benjamin couldn’t even hold a candle up to him. Washington said he didn’t even want Benjamin on the show, and the only reason he was going to have him on was because Tiffany was making him. Shelton Benjamin came out to defend himself, so I guess he is a babyface now (it’s about time!). Benjamin said if he said what he wanted to say, the show would be thrown off the air. Benjamin cut a profanity-laced promo, replacing the curse words with the word “smurf.” That’s hilarious for anybody who watched the smurfs. Washington wanted them to have a singing contest, allowing Ryder to pick the song and Benjamin would have to sing the same song. Ryder started singing “I only wanna be with you” by Hootie and the Blowfish, but he forgot the words. Washington insulted Ryder for picking a song he didn’t know the words to. Benjamin sang the song perfectly, but the fans booed it anyway. Ryder sneak attacked Benjamin from behind and Benjamin fought back and tossed Ryder over Washington’s leather couch.
SQUASH MATCH
Ezekiel Jackson defeated “Dangerous” Danny Danger: Danny Danger looked about as dangerous as a herd of pussy cats… After the match, Vladimir Kozlov came down and gave Danger his finisher right in front of Jackson! Jackson picked up Danger and hit him with his finisher once more and walked off. They’ve been doing this for weeks, so they are either going to end up feuding or forming a tag team. I’m predicting an unstoppable tag team..
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: The Hurricane showed up and saved a female crew member from being run over by a production truck. The Hurricane quickly disappeared. Paul Burchill showed up and looked into the camera to say “this is ridiculous!”
SINGLES REMATCH
Sheamus defeated Goldust: Sheamus said he came in search of GOLD, but all they gave him was dust. Sheamus continued his speech, but he was attacked by Goldust before retreating backstage..
BACKSTAGE PROMO: Tommy Dreamer cut a promo about winning back “his” ECW title..
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Christian was shown walking to the ring with a car door..
EXTREME RULES MATCH FOR THE ECW CHAMPIONSHIP
Christian defeated Tommy Dreamer to retain the ECW Championship: The finish saw Christian hit the Killswitch on top of the car door, and then place the door on top of Tommy Dreamer for the 1-2-3 to retain the ECW championship!
