Riley said if you’ve been paying attention to the internet this week, you will know that he is not afraid of a party (he got a DUI earlier this week). Riley said the Miz will have a big celebration tonight!

IN THE RING: R-Truth came out to his old “What’s Up?” theme, quietly dropping the terrible “KrunK” song. R-Truth said John Cena was still his friend and he went out like a CHAMP! Truth said when it all started, he tried to get John to quit on his own terms. Truth said John had to pay the piper one too many times and it cost him what he loves. Truth said Nexus may have won the battle, but the war hasn’t even started yet. Truth challenged any member of Nexus to come down and go one-on-one with the Truth!
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW Josh Mathews & Michael McGillicutty: Michael McGillicutty said he heard what Truth said and he’s going to go show him what happens to people who call out the Nexus. McGillicutty turned to walk away, but suddenly the camera man put down the camera and attacked him! You could see that it was John Cena’s legs and he waved his hand in front of the camera (you can’t see me!).
KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH John Morrison defeated “Dashing” Cody Rhodes:
KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH Ezekiel Jackson vs. Drew McIntyre ended in a Double Countout: They kept brawling after the bell until Big Zeke tossed McIntyre over the top rope! Uhg!!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Daniel Bryan & The Bella Twins + Alex Riley: The Bella Twins were drooling over Daniel Bryan and fighting over who which one was going to nurse him to health. Alex Riley came in and asked why they were flirting with this nerd, when they were put in charge of setting up 50 dancing girls for Miz’s celebration. Riley got a call from the Miz and then told the Bella’s they were no longer needed. Riley told Bryan that he missed out on the biggest opportunity in his life to be mentored by the Miz on NXT. Bryan said he was doing okay, and the Bella’s agreed. Riley said “welcome to Mizfest 2010!”
IN THE RING WWE champion Mike “The Miz” Mizanin & Alex Riley + Jerry “The King” Lawler + Michael Cole + Anonymous General Manager: The Miz said he had a big celebration planned but he has something better planned. The Miz then showed pictures of the now infamous “Angry Miz Girl” and thanked her for reminding him of the struggle he went through to get here. The Miz said that former champion Randy Orton wasn’t there due to a knee injury. The Miz said the only thing injured on Orton was his pride, because he personally embarrassed him last week. The Miz said if anyone ever says you can’t live your dream, believe them, because YOU can’t. The Miz said it takes an exceptional person like him to achieve his dreams. The Miz talked about Roddy Piper saying his generation went out and made things happen. The Miz held up a new WWE book about the history of the WWE championship, and stated that Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat, and Mr. Perfect were not in the book. Jerry Lawler stood up and interrupted, saying congratulations are in order. Lawler said The Miz beat a guy that had already been beaten up by seven other guys. Lawler said that may have been clever but it doesn’t make him AWESOME. The Miz said that sounds like the ramblings of a bitter old man who fought for decades and never did what he did in one night. Michael Cole stood up and told Lawler to stop. Cold said Lawler was downplaying the Miz’s victory all night. Cole told Lawler to sit down and relax and let the Miz have his moment. Lawler agreed to do that, but added that if Miz was the champion he says he was, he would call out somebody who hasn’t already been beaten up by seven guys and give them a title shot. Cole said if Lawler didn’t stop, the Miz may make an example out of him. Lawler said some people on that list of names of people who have never held the WWE title, never became champion because they never got a title shot. Lawler said he has been in WWE since 1993 and he has never had a title match. Lawler challenged the Miz to a title match tonight. The Miz said it was a great idea but he wasn’t interested in defending his title tonight. Lawler said the Miz just verified what he was saying; the Miz is not a champion, he is a coward. The Miz said Lawler has been in the business for 40 years and hasn’t done anything. The Anonymous General Manager sent an email and Cole read it; the G.M. congratulated the Miz on winning the WWE title. The G.M. said he was interested in seeing The Miz defend the WWE title, so he booked the Miz vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler for the WWE championship tonight! The G.M. announced that the next PPV was going to be TLC, so he ruled that tonight’s match would be fought under TLC rules!
KING OF THE RING QUARTER-FINAL MATCH Sheamus defeated Kofi Kingston: C.M. Punk said King Kofi Kingston has a nice ring to it, but is not so nice on the initials.
NON (WWE TAG TEAM) TITLE MATCH Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu defeated WWE Tag Team champions The Nexus (Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel): A few moments into the match, John Cena appeared from the rafters with a handful of ringside tickets. Cena made his way to the inside safety barrier and cheered like a fan for the opponents of Nexus. The Nexus was thrown off their game and quickly lost the match (thank God it was Non-title). Cena then jumped the rail and gave Heath Slater an Attitude Adjustment through the announce table. Cena lept over the rail and took off without a single sign of security. The crowd was going bonkers for Cena.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT The Nexus (David Otunga & Jusin Gabriel & Husky Harris) + Wade Barrett: Otunga said John Cena was supposed to be fired, but all it’s done is make things worse. Otunga said the guy has no restrictions; he’s already taken out McGillicutty & Slater, and now they are sitting ducks. Wade Barrett came in and disagreed, saying Cena is fired so there was no restrictions on what THEY do to HIM. Barrett said he was tired of Cena’s games so he’s going to call him out tonight – and they will handle it on their terms, not his!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Jerry “The King” Lawler & Arn Anderson: Arn Anderson said a title match for Jerry Lawler was long over due. Anderson warned Lawler that TLC matches are dangerous and he might get hurt. Anderson said if Lawler let it pass by nobody would blame him. Lawler said he’s never been in a TLC match, but he just can’t pass up a title match. Anderson understood and wished him luck!

KING OF THE RING SEMI-FINAL MATCH Sheamus advanced to the finals due to a bye:
IN THE RING Wade Barrett + John Cena (parking lot): Wade Barrett said John Cena must think he was born yesterday. Barrett said Cena’s plan is very transparent, because he knows he is the only person who can get Cena’s job back. Barrett said Cena is hoping that he gets so angry that he has him reinstated just so he can get revenge. Barrett promised that Cena will never work in WWE ever again. Barrett said the one thing Cena had going for him tonight was the element of surprise, but that is gone now. Cena came up on the big screen from the parking lot and said it wasn’t about keeping his job, it was about keeping his word. Cena said he made a promise before he was fired to take out each and every single member of the Nexus. Barrett ordered WWE security to go out and get rid of John Cena. Cena said that WWE security was in no rush to get rid of him, so it was open season on the Nexus. Suddenly, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, and Husky Harris surrounded Cena in the parking lot. Barrett said he wanted security there to protect Cena from the Nexus. Cena told the three Nexus guys that he was not the only enemy they have on RAW. Suddenly Ezekiel Jackson, Mark Henry, David Hart Smith, Yoshi Tatsu, Vladimir Kozlov, and Darren Young showed up to help Cena destroy the Nexus! Cena took out Justin Gabriel with an Attitude Adjustment on the hood of a rental car. Cena looked in the camera and said he would see Wade Barrett next week!
SIX-DIVAS TAG TEAM MATCH Natalya Neidhart & Gail Kim & Melina Perez defeated Maryse Ouellet & Alicia Fox & Tamina: Midway through the match, Santino came out playing guitar and singing “I think we’re alone now” by Tiffany in the 80’s to Tamina. She seemed hypnotized as she walked over and kissed Santino and then put him in a headlock before dragging him backstage for some lovin’. Natalya finished off Alicia Fox with the Sharpshooter!
VIDEO PACKAGE: They showed some Jerry Lawler clips including a lot of old stuff from the Memphis territory and his legendary feud with Any Kauffman. The whole point was that Lawler has never been World champion; so what did they do? They showed him winning the AWA World title!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Ted DiBiase Jr. & Maryse Ouellet: Maryse caught Ted Jr. playing with a WWE championship replica. Maryse said when she looks at Ted all she sees is the guy who tapped out to Daniel Bryan. Maryse said Ted makes her look bad. Maryse started to complain about Santino interfering in her match but Ted screamed for her to SHUT UP!
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW Josh Mathews & John Morrison & Sheamus: Josh Mathews hyped the finals of the King of the Ring. Surprise surprise it involves two RAW wrestlers. Sheamus said he has the advantage because Morrison has wrestled twice and his arm is hurt. Morrison said Sheamus only had to wrestle once tonight but won’t matter when the bells rings. Morrison said what does matter is only one of them is going to walk out as King of the Ring!
KING OF THE RING FINAL MATCH “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus defeated John Morrison: After the match, Sheamus went up and took his place on the royal throne and put the crown on his head. This guy really suits the gimmick at least. Sheamus cut a quick promo and proclaimed “LONG LIVE THE KING!!”
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP TLC MATCH Mike “The Miz” Mizanin defeated Jerry “The King” Lawler to retain the WWE championship: For some reason, The Miz is still carrying his Money in the Bank briefcase. Well, actually Alex Riley is carrying the Money in the Bank briefcase. WHY? They made a big deal about this being the King’s first shot at the WWE championship.. As far as I can tell, that is legit. As the match progressed, the Miz asked Alex Riley to hand him a ladder. While he was waiting for Riley to fold the ladder, Lawler came up behind Miz and whacked him with a chair! Lawler went out and knocked out Riley on the floor. Lawler slid a ladder in the ring and rammed the Miz. Lawler missed the second ram attempt and Miz took over. Lawler back-dropped Miz on top of the ladder! Lawler paused to get the fans attention, and Riley got up and clotheslined him! Lawler recovered and knocked Riley off the ring apron through a table! Lawler set the ladder up in the middle of the ring and began to climb. Miz pulled the King down and kicked him. Miz suplexed Lawler onto a folded steel chair. Miz began whacking Lawler on the back with the chair. Miz climbed to the top rope steel chair in hand, but King knocked him off balance and he crotched himself. Lawler set up for a Superplex but Miz head-butted him down. Lawler knocked Miz off the ropes down through a table on the floor. The crowd popped, with th belief that the King just might win this one! Michael Cole left the announce position and helped revive the Miz! Lawler gingerly climbed the ladder towards the WWE championship. Cole jumped in the ring and grabbed Lawler’s foot just as he put his hand on the belt. Cole pulled Lawler down and the King demanded to know “what are you doing?” Cole begged forgiveness, but King knocked him out and started pounding on him! The Miz quickly climbed up the ladder, and Lawler climbed up the other side. The crowd began to buzz wildly. They exchanged punched at the top of the ladder until Lawler fell to the mat, allowing the Miz to snatch the belt and retain his WWE championship! Amazing match.
