Footage is shown of WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defeating Braun Strowman last week on WWE Raw after Drew McIntyre got involved.

The Raw introduction video plays, and we go live into the WWE ThunderDome to see a big fireworks display. WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will face Drew McIntyre tonight in a rematch from WrestleMania 37.

6-Woman Tag Team Match
Charlotte Flair and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler w/ Reginald vs. Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, and Asuka

Nia Jax will start against Mandy Rose. Jax quickly runs her over and stomps her in the corner. Shayna Baszler tags in and applies an arm bar. Rose quickly powers her up and sends her to the corner. Baszler boots Dana Brooke on the apron. Asuka tags in and goes for a German Suplex on Baszler, but Baszler blocks it. Baszler applies a side headlock, but Asuka whips her off and dropkicks her out of the ring. Reginald gets on the apron, but he backflips off before being hit. All six women come face to face until…

Alexa Bliss music hits. Bliss is on a swing set on the stage with Lilly on the other swing. Bliss says she and Lilly are there to keep an eye on… someone. Bliss laughs.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Flair stomping Rose in the corner. Flair grapevines the head and drives it into the mat a few times. Alexa Bliss is still swinging on the stage. Baszler tags in and attacks Rose for a two count. Baszler tags Jax in. Jax scoop slams Rose down for a two count. Jax applies a chin lock, but Rose fights up. Jax goes for a Samoan Drop, but Rose slides off (sort of). Brooke and Baszler tag in. Brooke knocks Flair off the apron and attacks Baszler. Brooke hits a handspring back elbow followed by a bulldog for a two count. Baszler hits a wild backbreaker on Brooke. Baszler’s knee gives out, which surprises her. Almost seemed like magic. Asuka tags in, knocks Jax off the apron, and hits a sliding kick on Baszler for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, and Asuka

Flair immediately big boots Asuka down and stands tall. Bliss cackles on the stage. Lilly’s “laugh” is also heard.

Footage is shown of Elias and Jaxson Ryker accidentally hitting Randy Orton with tomatoes last week. Later in that night, Randy Orton and Riddle defeated them.

The New Day are talking backstage when Riddle scoots up to them. Riddle thanks them for the registration papers. In a few weeks, R-K-Bro will be a team. Kofi Kingston says every team must fill out registration forms. Riddle asks what they’re going to do this week? More tomatoes? Kingston says they’re out of tomatoes, but will hit them with truth tonight. Randy Orton is behind Riddle, making him nervous. Riddle and New Day laugh at the tomato incident from last week. Orton says the things he likes are ending careers, kicking people in the head, and setting things on fire. He’ll see them out there tonight.

Riddle, Randy Orton, and the New Day take on Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos, and Elias and Jaxson Ryker.

-Commercial Break-

Drew McIntyre will face WWE Champion Bobby Lashley later tonight. Footage is shown of Lashley costing McIntyre the WWE Championship to the Miz at WWE Elimination Chamber.

MVP is walking backstage and enters Braun Strowman’s locker room. Strowman warns MVP to get out. MVP says he’s here to talk business. Bobby Lashley didn’t beat Strowman last week; Drew McIntyre did. The All Mighty knows that and Lashley told MVP that Strowman is the strongest man he’s ever faced. Strowman says he’s heard enough of this BS. MVP says if Bobby Lashley HAD to lose the WWE Championship – not that that will happen – he’d rather lose it to Strowman, not Drew McIntyre. McIntyre has already had the title, while Strowman has not. If McIntyre got so injured he couldn’t make it to WrestleMania Backlash, it would be the Monster Among Men against the WWE Champion. Strowman says he doesn’t like MVP. MVP says a lot of people feel that way, but it’s just business. MVP walks off, and Strowman takes a deep breath.

Footage is shown of Damian Priest defeating John Morrison last week on WWE Raw. Priest will face the Miz at WrestleMania Backlash.

WWE Official Adam Pearce is backstage with Damian Priest. The Miz and John Morrison walk up. Pearce says he called them here because Priest has an idea. Morrison says he would have beat Priest if not for the Miz last week. Miz says Morrison will beat Priest tonight and then Miz will beat him on Sunday. Priest suggests that if Morrison beats him tonight then he can pick the stipulation for this Sunday. If Priest wins, he’ll pick the stipulation. Miz isn’t sure, but Morrison accepts. Miz isn’t happy.

Jinder Mahal is shown backstage. Mahal says nothing smells better than fresh competition. As the Modern Day Maharaja, he’s excited to be back on Monday Night Raw… but he didn’t come along. Mahal shows off Veer and Shanky. He’ll remind everyone why he’s a former WWE Champion.

Jinder Mahal makes his entrance alongside Veer and Shanky. Mahal will face Jeff Hardy, next.

Jinder Mahal w/ Veer and Shanky vs. Jeff Hardy

Hardy attacks Mahal at the sound of the bell and dropkicks him. Mahal reverses a whip, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Mahal quickly knees him and hits a big boot for a two count. Mahal stomps away at him and beats on him. Mahal connects with a vertical suplex and knees Hardy in the back before applying a chin lock. Hardy fights back and takes him down. Hardy removes his shirt and goes for a Twist of Fate, but Mahal knees him in the face. Mahal hits the Khallas for the win.

WWE Official Sonya Deville is talking on the phone when Charlotte Flair walks up to her.

Elias and Jaxson Ryker are backstage holding a basket of tomatoes. Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos walk up and ask what is going on. Styles has a goatee. Elias goes to play a song, but Styles cuts him off. No tomatoes and no song. Styles also mentions his goatee makes him more aerodynamic. They need to take this match seriously. Omos takes a tomato and squeezes it, saying that will be their opponents.

Riddle makes his entrance. The 8-man tag is next.

8-Man Tag Team Match
Riddle, Randy Orton, and the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. Elias, Jaxson Ryker, and Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos

Elias starts against Riddle. Riddle goes for a monkey flip, but counters into an arm bar attempt. Elias quickly scurries to the bottom rope. Jaxson Ryker tags in, but Riddle takes him down. Ryker grapevines the head, but Riddle fights up. Ryker avoids a kick. Omos tags himself in. Riddle tries to fight him, but Omos simply throws him away. Omos blocks a kick and flips him over. Xavier Woods runs in and gets immediately taken down. Kofi Kingston runs in, but Omos head-butts him down. Omos then throws Riddle down. Randy Orton slides into the ring and looks at Omos before rolling back out.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Elias stomping away at Riddle. Riddle tries to fight back, but Elias stomps him down in his corner. Ryker tags in and drops a forearm on Riddle for a two count. AJ Styles tags in. Ryker connects with a back suplex, and Styles covers for a two count. Styles goes for a suplex on Riddle, but he gets out and tags Kingston in.

Kingston kicks away at Styles. Woods tags in and hits a flatliner for a two count. Styles sends Woods into the ropes. Kingston tags in and shoulders Styles. Kingston connects with a big cross-body block for a two count. Kingston sends Styles to the corner and avalanches him. Woods tags in and goes to the top rope for a double-team. Elias breaks it up, so Woods hits a missile dropkick. Styles immediately hits Woods with a spinebuster. Ryker tags in and covers for a one count. Ryker punches Woods down and tags Elias in. Elias hits a spinebuster on Woods for a near fall. Woods fights out of the corner, but Elias hits yet another spinebuster for a near fall. That’s three spinebusters in this match. Ryker tags in and stomps Woods before applying a camel clutch. Woods fights up and hits a jawbreaker. Ryker forearms Woods in the small of the back and hits Woods with the fourth spinebuster of the match for a near fall. Elias tags in and clubs Woods’ back. Elias hits a twisting suplex for a near fall. Elias immediately applies a rear chin lock. Woods fights up and rolls Elias up for a near fall. Woods avoids a boot and tags Riddle in.

Riddle knees Elias in the face and hits Ryker with an exploder. Riddle knocks Styles off the apron. Elias gets out of an exploder and elbows away at Riddle. Riddle reverses a whip and counters a slingshot into the Bro Derek. Omos breaks up the pin. Randy Orton tags in. Omos is supposed to swat Riddle out of midair, but he misses by a mile. The commentators even mention it. Woods hits Styles with a baseball slide. The New Day spin Styles around outside, distracting Omos. Orton hits Elias with an RKO for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: Riddle, Randy Orton, and the New Day

After the match, Orton hits Woods and Kingston with RKOs. Riddle yells at Orton. Orton turns like he’s going to RKO Riddle, but he stops. Riddle smiles and shakes his head at Orton as he walks off. Orton smirks as he walks away.

WWE Official Sonya Deville is backstage when Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley walks in. Asuka also comes in. Deville says they’re going to resolve this peacefully. She was given an idea and she approved it. Deville wants them to resolve their issues, so they will fight one-on-one. Ripley asks who had this idea, but Deville won’t say. Ripley accuses Flair. Asuka says she already had a match tonight, but will do it again because she’s ready for Rhea. Ripley says she’ll beat her like she did at WrestleMania. Ripley says Charlotte can have all the ideas she wants… she’ll still win at WrestleMania Backlash.

WWE United States Champion Sheamus makes his way to the ring. He’ll face Humberto Carrillo in a non-title match, next.

-Commercial Break-

Kevin Patrick is backstage with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP. MVP doesn’t like Patrick’s question and says Lashley will beat Drew McIntyre again like a movie sequel. Lashley says he beat Braun Strowman last week, as well as Drew McIntyre. Patrick asks about MVP trying to make a deal with Lashley and Strowman. MVP says they don’t comment on ongoing negotiations.

Footage is shown of Humberto Carrillo attacking Sheamus last week on WWE Raw.

Sheamus says an important piece was left out of that video package when he gave Carrillo and Mansoor a Brogue Kick. Sheamus says he was told of the legacy of the United States Championship and open challenges a few weeks ago. Why would Sheamus want to walk in the footsteps of has-beens when he can build a path and legacy of his own. They gave US Title matches to anyone. They’d even give one to Adnan Virk, who is out of his depth on commentary. Carrillo will be the meme of the week and get a Brogue Kick to the head.

Non-Title Match
WWE United States Champion Sheamus vs. Humberto Carrillo

Sheamus takes him down, but Carrillo fights up. Sheamus quickly shoulder tackles him down. Carrillo leapfrogs him, but Sheamus clubs him down. Sheamus forearms Carrillo in the back and sends him to the ropes. Sheamus lowers his head and eats a kick. Carrillo comes back with an arm drag and dropkicks him off the apron. Sheamus gets on the apron, so Carrillo hits a springboard dropkick. Carrillo goes for a baseball slide, but Sheamus counters and slams him on the floor. Sheamus then sends him into the timekeeper’s area.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Sheamus beating Carrillo down. Sheamus clubs away at the chest and puts on the Dublin Smile. Carrillo fights back, but Sheamus flattens him with an Alabama Slam for a near fall. Sheamus gets Carrillo on his shoulders and climbs to the second rope. Carrillo elbows off and hits a super hurricanrana. Sheamus quickly punches him in the midsection, but Carrillo elbows back. Carrillo hits a sunset flip powerbomb to the floor, but Carrillo doesn’t rotate enough. Sheamus lands right on Carrillo’s legs. Carrillo can’t get back to his feet. The referee notices something is wrong with Carrillo and calls the match off.

Cedric Alexander will face Shelton Benjamin, next.

Cedric Alexander vs. Shelton Benjamin

Alexander quickly takes Benjamin down and hits a dragon screw over the ropes. Alexander continues to attack the leg and applies a heel hook. Benjamin fights up and breaks out of the hold. Benjamin counters into a sharpshooter, but Alexander gets to the bottom rope. Benjamin punches Alexander, but Alexander dropkicks the knee. Alexander knocks him out of the ring and hits a suicide dive. Alexander goes for another one, but Benjamin jumps to the apron and knees him in the face. Benjamin goes for Pay Dirt, but Alexander counters into a roll-up for a two count. Alexander hits a Neuralyzer and shouts that he is the best. Alexander talks trash and rips at Benjamin’s face. Benjamin surprises Alexander with a t-bone suplex for the win.

Footage is shown of Angel Garza kicking a rose up Drew Gulak’s rectum… yes, that happened.

Angel Garza is taking photographs backstage. Drew Gulak comes up and asks if Garza has any respect for their profession. What Garza did to him last week has never happened to anyone in the history of WWE. Garza embarrassed and humiliated him. Gulak is furious. Garza asks if he wants it to happen again. Gulak says it won’t happen. Maybe next time he’ll shove the rose down Gulak’s throat.

Asuka makes her entrance. She’ll face Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, next.

Asuka vs. Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley

They lock up, but Ripley quickly attacks. Asuka fights back and goes for a backfist, but Ripley narrowly avoids it. Ripley mocks Asuka, so Asuka sweeps the feet and dropkicks her. Asuka throws Ripley across the ring. Ripley fights back and throws Asuka by the hair. Asuka fights back and goes for a hip attack against the apron, but Ripley moves.

Charlotte Flair’s music hits, and she walks out to the stage. Asuka drops Ripley with a spinning backfist.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break and Charlotte Flair is on commentary. Ripley dropkicks Asuka and shoulders her in the corner. They mistime a spot and fall. Ripley gets Asuka to her feet and kicks her in the head. Asuka kicks Ripley back and hits a sliding knee. Asuka puts Ripley in the ring for a two count. Ripley pushes Asuka out of the ring. Asuka stares at Flair. Ripley grabs Asuka and head-butts her. Flair says Ripley is learning from her. Ripley hits a northern lights suplex for a two count. Asuka hits a double knee facebuster for a two count. Ripley is knocked out of the ring, and she stares at Flair. Asuka attacks Ripley and gets her in the ring. Asuka hits a missile dropkick for a near fall. Ripley fights back and hits the Riptide for the win.

Kevin Patrick is backstage with Drew McIntyre. Patrick asks why he attacked Strowman and Lashley last week. McIntyre says he wasn’t going to get involved until Strowman touched him. McIntyre knows about MVP’s business proposition. If that happens, he’s toast. No one man can withstand that kind of onslaught. Tonight, he’ll do what he couldn’t at WrestleMania: connect with that Claymore. This Sunday, he’ll once again be WWE Champion.

The Miz and John Morrison make their entrance. Morrison will face Damian Priest, next.

John Morrison w/ The Miz vs. Damian Priest

The winner of this match will determine the stipulation for Damian Priest vs. The Miz at WrestleMania Backlash this Sunday.

The bell rings, and Morrison forearms Priest in the face. Priest knocks Morrison back and stomps him down in the corner. Priest whips Morrison hard to the opposite corner and hits a sidewalk slam for a two count. Priest grabs the arm, but Morrison gets to the bottom rope. Morrison knees him and tries for a complicated roll-up, but they completely botch it. After a few moments of trying to find themselves, Morrison knees him in the face. Morrison applies a chin lock, while Miz hypes up Morrison at ringside. Priest fights up and backs Morrison to the corner. Morrison fights back, but Priest viciously forearms him down. Morrison grabs the bottom rope to break the pin. The Miz pulls Morrison out of the ring and talks to him. Priest grabs Morrison and puts him in the ring. Miz challenges Priest to a fight… and they go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Priest attack Morrison and get him in the ring. Morrison distracts the referee while The Miz hits Priest with a big boot. Morrison gets Priest in the ring and applies a chin lock. Priest punches out of it. They hit a sloppy side leg sweep for a two count. Morrison applies a neck vice, but Priest kicks out of it.

Priest kicks away at Morrison and punches him. Priest hits a running back elbow and a mistimed Broken Arrow for a near fall. Priest continues to fight and hits a spin kick off the top rope, but he only gets a near fall. Morrison rolls Priest up for a two count. Priest goes for Hit the Lights, but Miz distracts him. Morrison rolls Priest up, but the referee is still dealing with Miz. Priest kicks out and hits Hit the Lights for the win. Priest will pick the stipulation.

Winner by Pinfall: Damian Priest

The Miz immediately attacks Priest and goes for a Skull Crushing Finale. Priest gets out and goes for a spin kick, but Miz avoids it and runs away. Priest grabs Morrison and hits another Hit the Lights. Morrison took a really cool bump there.

Damian Priest walks up to WWE Official Adam Pearce. They’re having audio problems. Priest wants a Lumberjack Match against the Miz for WrestleMania Backlash.

The commentators run down the WrestleMania Backlash card for this Sunday.

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley faces Drew McIntyre, next.

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley w/ MVP vs. Drew McIntyre

The bell rings, and McIntyre immediately goes for a Claymore Kick. Lashley gets away and tries for a Hurt Lock, but McIntyre fights out of it. Lashley powers him to the corner and shoulders him. Lashley smothers him in the corner and punches him. McIntyre quickly turns him around and viciously clubs away at him. Lashley elbows McIntyre back and punches him down. Lashley gets fired up and charges, but McIntyre big boots him down. Lashley rolls out of the ring to recover. McIntyre follows him out and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Lashley take McIntyre down. McIntyre soon fights back and hits a wild delayed vertical suplex. McIntyre gets to his feet and charges Lashley, but Lashley big boots him down. MVP shouts encouragement to Lashley. Lashley drives his forearm into McIntyre’s face. McIntyre is driven to the apron. Lashley hits the ropes and viciously forearms McIntyre to the floor. Lashley forearms McIntyre and bounces him off the ring apron and gets in the ring. McIntyre gets on the apron, so Lashley hits a poorly executed neck snapper. Lashley goes outside and puts McIntyre on his shoulders before driving him headfirst into the ring post. That looked really good.

Lashley gets McIntyre in the ring. Lashley charges, but McIntyre hits a hip toss into the turnbuckles! They trade blows before McIntyre hits a pair of overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. McIntyre connects with a big neckbreaker and kips up. McIntyre goes for a Future Shock DDT, but Lashley gets out. McIntyre hits a Glasgow Kiss and follows up with a spinebuster for a near fall. McIntyre goes for a Claymore Kick, but Lashley wipes him out with a cross-body block! Lashley goes for a Hurt Lock, but McIntyre fights it. Lashley knees away at McIntyre’s midsection and hits an exploder suplex. McIntyre then hits Lashley with a Claymore Kick!

Braun Strowman’s music hits, and he avalanches McIntyre from behind. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner by Disqualification: Drew McIntyre

Strowman hits McIntyre with a Running Powerslam and helps Lashley up. Lashley looks pleased and hugs Lashley. Strowman then hits Lashley with a Running Powerslam. Strowman grabs McIntyre and hits him with another Running Powerslam. Strowman goes outside. MVP goes to hit him with his cane, but Strowman blocks it. Strowman throws it aside and grabs Lashley. Strowman scoops him up and hits a Running Powerslam through the barricade!

Strowman gets back in the ring and screams at McIntyre. Strowman scoops McIntyre up and hits him with a big Running Powerslam. Strowman rips his shirt off and stands tall as the show comes to an end.
