DARK MATCH: Eric Escobar defeated Tommy Dreamer..

IN THE RING
World Heavyweight champion The Undertaker + Chris Jericho: The Undertaker cut his typical promo, talking about his birth at the Survivor Series years ago. Undertaker said the World title is the holy grail for all who steps foot in the wrestling ring. Undertaker said the Big Show betrayed an entire team for an opportunity to become World champion. Undertaker said what Big Show won was the opportunity to be terminated by the hand of the Deadman. Undertaker said there were few things in the world that bring joy to his dark heart. One was fighting along side his brother, Kane. The second thing was fighting against his brother, Kane. Undertaker said last week, Chris Jericho took that opportunity away from him. Undertaker said at Survivor Series, Jericho’s soul will be his. Chris Jericho came out and said after 10 years, two of the biggest stars in WWE history, it will be Undertaker vs. Jericho for the first time. Jericho kept his distance, standing at ringside when addressing the Undertaker. Jericho claimed that he was the true phenom of the WWE. Jericho said he was the best at what he does, and that makes him unusual. Jericho said he was the only one to stand up and tell the truth, claiming Undertaker has been brainwashing the fans for 20 years. Jericho said Undertaker wasn’t a Deadman, he was just a MAN. Jericho said he was on the roll of his career, and he can beat anybody that he choses at this point. Jericho said at Survivor Series he would become the World champion for the sixth time! Jericho said there isn’t a man on the planet he is afraid of, and he’s certainly not afraid of the Undertaker. Jericho got in the ring and informed the Undertaker that he was the NEW Phenom and there’s nothing Taker can do about it. Undertaker snatched Jericho by the throat, but Jericho kicked him in the gut and broke loose. Jericho charged Undertaker, but was knocked down and rolled out of the ring.

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Dolph Ziggler & The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd w/Natalya Neidhart) defeated John Morrison & Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard & JTG):

SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW
Josh Mathews & Rey Mysterio: Rey Mysterio said he was upset over what happened with Batista last week, and compared it to one of his own family members walking out on him over something so small. They plugged the Rey vs. Batista match at Survivor Series. Rey said Batista won’t listen to logic, and threw away their friendship. Rey said he doesn’t know what has gotten into Batista, but is going to get it out of him. Rey said Batista showed him a different side of himself, and now he will show Batista a different side too..

DIVAS SQUASH MATCH
Beth Phoenix defeated Brittney Carter: Brittney Carter wrestled on the independent circuit as “Brooke Carter” and sometimes by her real name “Brittney Savage.”

SQUASH MATCH
Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Wang Yang: Jimmy Wang Yang didn’t do his homework, because he turned his back and Drew McIntyre bashed him out of the ring before the match even started. McIntyre said the party won’t even begin to get started until he gets some competition worthy of a future World Heavyweight champion. Yang rolled back into the ring and told the referee to ring the bell. McIntyre turned and walked back to the ring, where Yang threw a few kicks before getting destroyed…

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Josh Mathews & Batista: Josh Mathews asked Batista why he attacked Matt Hardy last week. Batista said he was not there to make friends, he was there to hold the World Heavyweight title. Batista said Matt Hardy stuck his nose in his business last week. Batista said if he has to go through Mysterio or Hardy to become champion, that’s what he’s gonna do!

SINGLES MATCH
Rey Mysterio defeated Mike Knox: Rey Mysterio ‘asked’ for this match so that he could prepare for Batista.

SINGLES MATCH
R-Truth defeated C.M. Punk: Scott Armstrong was assigned to referee this match. Sometimes wrestling makes no sense. The finish of this long match saw C.M. Punk yell at referee Armstrong for what he percieved as a slow count. Punk ordered him to count faster, so when R-Truth rolled up Punk from behind he counted a quick 1-2-3 to give Truth the win!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Mickie James & Michelle McCool & Layla El: Who dresses Mickie James? Whenever she is not wearing her wrestling gear, she wears the most hideous outfits. Michelle McCool (w/Layla El) asked Mickie who she “begged” to make her co-captain of one Diva’s team at Survivor Series. Didn’t we just do this stuff a few weeks ago and call it Bragging Rights? Layla said nobody likes Mickie over here on SmackDown!, and threatened to make things difficult for her. Mickie said she wasn’t going anywhere, and her team will beat Michelle’s team at Survivor Series. I guess it’s not RAW vs. SmackDown!, but babyface vs. heel instead…

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Josh Mathews & Matt Hardy: Matt Hardy said as human beings they all make mistakes, and he originally thought that was the case with Batista. Matt said after everything he went through with his brother, he didn’t want the same thing to happen to Rey Mysterio and Batista. Matt said he wanted to help Batista, but he has changed – and tonight he needs a reality check. Matt said he didn’t come to talk to Batista he came to fight him!

SINGLES MATCH
Matt Hardy defeated Batista by DQ: Batista was so defiant with the referee, and yelled at him repeatedly to get out of his face! After a long match, Batista got disqualified for bashing Matt Hardy with a television monitor! Batista continued to assault Hardy, and rolled him back inside the ring. Batista set up for a Batista-bomb, but changed his mind and shoved Hardy to the floor. The announcers interpreted it as Batista saying the fans didn’t deserve to see it.
