The show starts off with Renee Young who’s in the parking lot. Renee says that she’s awaiting the arrival of Dean Ambrose who has a major announcement to make. Ambrose arrives to the arena. Ambrose tells Renee that he’s a man that likes to say things to people’s faces. Ambrose says that he’s heading to the ring to call Kevin Owens out.
Dean Ambrose, Sheamus, Kevin Owens and Neville In-Ring Segment:
Ambrose told everyone in the crowd to put the kids to bed and pop the champagne because he has an announcement. He called for a drumroll, and it came over the speakers in the building. Before he could make an announcement, he stopped himself and demanded Kevin Owens come down to the ring. Owens never showed, and Ambrose said he figured as much and it was no big deal. He then challenged Owens to a last man standing match at the Rumble, and dared him to do what no one else has been able to do, and put him down and keep him down. Sheamus interrupted and said that he’s not Kevin Owens, because Owens has a better tan than he does.
Sheamus accused Ambrose of living in a fantasy world, and said that this wasn’t a fantasy, it was reality. Ambrose told Sheamus that he made a League of Nations treehouse friends club, and it was him that lived in a fantasy world? Sheamus said he didn’t have time for Ambrose’s jokes, and said he was feeling unfulfilled by their unfinished brawl this past Monday. He said he was going to embarrass him in front of all those people here and leave a mark in his face that would last forever. Ambrose responded to him and said he would beat on him and make him cry, and demanded he come on down. Kevin Owens interrupted and said it was now two on one. As far as the Rumble goes, not only would Ambrose walk out of the Rumble with his championship, he wouldn’t walk out at all. Owens and Sheamus then circled Ambrose and attacked, but Neville evened the odds and made the save.
First Match: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Wyatt Family w/Braun Strowman in a Tables Match
Harper and Rowan attack the Dudley’s from behind as the bell rings. Rowan bodyslams Bubba. Harper with a big forearm to the back of Bubba. Bubba sends Rowan over the top rope. Bubba with a back body drop to Harper. Bubba bodyslams Harper and The Dudleys connect with the What’s Up Spot? Dudley’s bring the table the ring. Dudley set up a table in the middle of the ring. Harper with a superkick to D-Von. Rowan with a round house kick that sends Bubba to the outside. Rowan with a right hand to Bubba. Harper uppercuts D-Von. Rowan sets up a table in the ring. Harper and Rowan corner D-Von. Harper and Rowan go to double suplex D-Von, but Bubba moves the table out of the way.
Bubba with a side slam to Harper. Dudleys with a double team neck breaker to Rowan. D-Von with a clothesline to Rowan. D-Von goes to put Harper through a table, but Strowman gets in the way. Bubba snags a Kendo Stick from Strowman. Bubba proceeds to whack Rowan in the back with the Kendo Stick. Bubba sends Strowman shoulder first to the ring post. Bubba sends Rowan rib first to the steel ring steps. Harper goes to suplex D-Von through a table, but Bubba climbs the steel ring step and shove Harper through the table a front of the announce table to pick up the victory. After the match Strowman attacks The Dudleys from behind. Strowman sends D-Von through two tables inside the ring. The Wyatts clear the announce table. Harper and Rowan sends Bubba through two tables with a Double Team Choke Slam.
Winner: The Dudley Boyz
Kalisto Backstage Interview:
JoJo reminds Kalisto of two shocking moments over the last few weeks. Of course winning the Slammy Award for Shocking Moment of the Year then winning the United States Champion on Raw. Kalisto said that he never imagined succeeding in the land of giants. Kalisto said that seeing Eddie Guerrero defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship and Rey Mysterio winning the Royal Rumble Match were two life changing moments for him. Kalisto says that those moments gave him hope. Kalisto needed one opportunity and now he’s the United States Champion and he plans to remain champion.
Second Match: The Social Outcasts vs. Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, Goldust and Damien Sandow in an 8-man tag team match
Slater and Sandow start off the match. Slater with a side headlock and rolls out of the ring. Social Outcasts begin the victory lap. Sandow rolls Slater back into the ring. Slater tags in Goldust. Goldust with right hands to Slater. Axel distracts Goldust. Slater with a round house kick to Goldust and tags in Axel. Axel with a drop tope hold to Goldust and tags in Adam Rose. Rose with a knee drop for a one count. Goldust with a power slam to Rose. Dallas and Swagger are tagged in.
Swagger with running clotheslines to Dallas. Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb, but Dallas put his feet up. Swagger puts Dallas in the Ankle Lock. Axel sends Swagger shoulder first to the ring post. Sandow and Axel brawl on the outside. Swagger tags in Ryder. Ryder with a running forearm to Dallas. Ryder knocks the Social Outcasts off the ring apron. Ryder with the Broski Boot to Dallas. Rose distracts the referee. Slater connects with a right hand to Ryder. Dallas connects with the Bo Dog to pick up the victory.
Winner: The Social Outcasts
Alberto Del Rio Backstage Interview:
Renee Young said that there was a thunderous response to Kalisto capturing the United States Championship on Raw. Renee asks Del Rio if the opinions of the WWE Universe affect him. Del Rio couldn’t care less what the WWE Universe thinks. Tonight Del Rio will bring him back to reality. Del Rio says that he’s going to crush the little mosquito Kalisto. Del Rio says that he’s going to get back his United States Championship.
Third Match: WWE United States champion Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio for the WWE United States title
Del Rio with a shoulder kick to Kalisto. Del Rio with right hands to Kalisto in the corner. Kalisto with right kicks to the leg of Del Rio. Del Rio with a suplex for a two count. Del Rio with right hands to the ribs of Kalisto. Del Rio puts Kalisto on the top rope. Del Rio is ripping the mask off Kalisto face. Kalisto with a missile drop kick for a two count. Del Rio regains the momentum with a vicious clothesline for a two count. Del Rio with a flying forearm for a two count. Del Rio continues to toy with Kalisto. Kalisto sends Del Rio shoulder first to the ring post. Kalisto with a back kick to Del Rio. Del Rio knocks Kalisto off the second rope. Del Rio works on the shoulder of Kalisto. Del Rio with a armbar. Kalisto with kicks to the leg of Del Rio. Del Rio counters with a back breaker. Del Rio sends Kalisto shoulder first to the ring post. Kalisto with a boot and a flying crossbody to Del Rio. Kalisto with a head scissors takedown to Del Rio. Del Rio gets back up and Irish whips Kalisto to the outside.
Coming out of the commercial break Del Rio connects with a suplex to Kalisto. Wade Barrett shows up and stands outside the ring. Del Rio goes for the Double Foot Stomp, but Kalisto counters with an impressive head scissors takedown. Kalisto with a springboard seated senton. Kalisto with a spring board corkscrew splash. Del Rio regains momentum with a massive side kick to the head of Kalisto. Kalisto counters the Cross Arm Breaker with the hurricarana for a two count. Kalisto with a corkscrew splash and a spike rana to Del Rio for a two count. Del Rio begins to work on the wrist of Kalisto. Del Rio slaps Kalisto in the face. Kalisto with a jaw breaker to Del Rio. Del Rio goes for the Electric Chair, but Kalisto counters with a enziguri. Kalisto goes for the Salida Del Sol, but Barrett distracts Kalisto. Del Rio with the Cross Arm Breaker and Kalisto reaches the bottom rope. Kalisto sends Del Rio to the outside. Kalisto goes for a plancha, but Barrett push Del Rio out of the way. Del Rio rolls Kalisto back into the ring. Del Rio applies the Cross Arm Breaker and Kalisto taps.
Winner: New WWE United States champion Alberto Del Rio via Submission
Becky Lynch Backstage Interview:
Renee Young shows Becky the Divas Title match that happen a couple of weeks ago. Becky said that her best friend attacked her from behind because she lost a match. We see a clip of Becky attacking Charlotte on Raw. Becky says that she’s still going to be fired up. Becky challenges Charlotte to a match at the Royal Rumble for the WWE Divas Championship.
Fourth Match: Brie Bella w/Alicia Fox vs. Becky Lynch
Brie and Becky locked up. Brie kicks Lynch in the knee. Brie drops Becky face to the mat multiple times. Brie with a missile dropkick for a two count. Brie with elbows to the chest of Becky. Brie with a armbar. Brie kicks Lynch in the midsection in the corner. Lynch sends Brie face first to the second turnbuckle. Lynch with three uppercuts, two clothesline, a dropkick, a running forearm, a spring board side kick and a exploder suplex for a two count. Brie rolls Becky up for a two count. Brie goes for the Bella Buster, but Becky counters with the Dis Arm Her and Brie taps out.
Winner: Becky Lynch via Submission
Fifth Match: Kevin Owens and Sheamus vs. WWE Intercontinental champion Dean Ambrose and Neville
Neville and Sheamus start off the match. Sheamus with a knee to the mid-section of Neville. Neville with a head scissors take down. Neville tags in Ambrose. Ambrose with chops to Sheamus chest. Sheamus with right hands to the back of Ambrose. Ambrose with a boot to a chest of Sheamus. Ambrose with a running dropkick that sends Sheamus to the ropes. Ambrose with a clothesline that sends Sheamus to the outside. Owens distracts Ambrose. Ambrose dives onto Owens on the outside. Sheamus with a running clothesline. Owens with right hands to Ambrose. Owens kicks Ambrose in the back. Owens tags in Sheamus. Sheamus with a knee drop for a two count. Sheamus tags in Owens. Ambrose with a boot to Owens. Ambrose goes for a Tornado DDT, but Owens blocks the attempt. Ambrose with a swinging neck breaker to Owens. Ambrose tags in Neville. Neville with a springboard drop kick to Owens. Neville with a enziguri. Owens tags in Sheamus. Neville with a superkick to Sheamus. Neville goes for the Red Arrow, but Sheamus rolls out of the way.
Owens clotheslines Neville from the ring apron. Sheamus tags in Neville. Owens with a headbutt to Neville. Owens tags in Sheamus. Neville with a jaw breaker to Sheamus. Sheamus with a clothesline to Neville for a two count. Sheamus with a chin lock to Neville. Owens with a German suplex to Neville. Owens goes for Cannon Ball, but Neville counters with a German suplex. Ambrose and Sheamus are tagged in. Ambrose with running forearms. Ambrose with chop and jabs combination. Ambrose with a Tornado DDT to Sheamus. Ambrose with a flying elbow for a two count. Ambrose with a forearm to Owens. Ambrose goes the Lunatic Lariat, but Owens superkicks Ambrose. Sheamus with a White Noise for a two count. Sheamus tags in Owens. Owens goes for the Pop Up Powerbomb, but Ambrose counters with the Lunatic Lariat. Sheamus sends Ambrose shoulder first to the ring post. Sheamus and Owens maul Ambrose a front of the announce table. The referee calls for the bell. Owens and Sheamus clear the announce table. Neville with a flying plancha onto Sheamus and Owens on the outside. Ambrose with the Dirty Deeds to Owens. Neville connects with the Red Arrow to Owens.
Winner: Neville and Dean Ambrose by disqualification
