Tag Team Battle Royal
The Vaudevillains vs. The Ascension vs. Blake & Murphy vs. Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger vs. Big Cass & Enzo Amore

The winners of this match get an NXT tag title shot against the Lucha Dragons. If one member of a team is eliminated, both are out.

The match starts off with the typical battle royal spots– slow, methodical brawling along the sides of the ring, with nobody bumping yet. Wesley Blake, Buddy Murphy, Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan are all eliminated by The Ascension simultaneously, leaving only Big Cass and Enzo against the Ascension, as the Vaudevillains have slipped out of the ring.

Viktor hits a big clothesline on Enzo and then Cass comes back, fired up. It doesn’t last long, as Cass is put on the apron, and Enzo is tossed into him for the elimination. Hideo Itami shows up on the ramp and distracts the Ascension, which causes a distraction and gets them eliminated by Gotch and English.

Winners: The Vaudevillains

Itami comes down and attacks the Ascension, but they beat him down yet again. They leave him lying with a Harris Brothers-style H-Bomb. They said they’ll send Itami back to Japan in a box.

Emma vs. Carmella

Emma gets a good reaction, and repeatedly outsmarts Carmella when she tries to counter moves. Emma hits an awkward see saw kick through the ropes, but gets thrown into the buckle and stomped by Carmella. Emma is choked on the ropes as Carmella sits on her back and checks her nails.

Carmella goes to work with a body scissors, but after a minute or so Emma rolls over and it’s turned into a full guard. Emma picks Carmella up and lands a spinebuster from the position. Emma with a couple of clotheslines and a Tarantula hold but the ref breaks it up. Emma hits the Emma Sandwich in the corner but it’s good for only a near fall. Carmella lands a drop toe hold and awkwardly rolls into her submission finish.

Winner: Carmella

A package is shown highlighting the NXT tryouts.

Justin Gabriel vs. Bull Dempsey

Justin Gabriel gets a little offense to start, buts only gets a near fall on a roll up. He goes for another but Dempsey slams Gabriel to the mat. Gabriel goes for a running headscissors but Dempsey catches him with a side slam for 2.

Dempsey locks on a Cobra Clutch but Gabriel fights out and lands a spinning reverse DDT, then a moonsault for two. Gabriel kicks Bull repeatedly in the back and comes off the second rope, where he meets an overhead throw. Dempsey runs in to Gabriel and comes down with the top rope headbutt for the victory.

Winner: Bull Dempsey

Bayley is backstage and says that Sasha Banks brainwashed Becky Lynch. She also says she has a friend of her own, and she’s bringing Charlotte.

Baron Corbin vs. Tony Briggs

This will not last long. Lockup, punch, End of Days. It’s over, folks.

Winner: Baron Corbin

The crowd actually counted the length of the match out loud. 20 seconds, by the way.

Marcus Louis vs. Sylvester Lefort

The crowd is totally dead for this match, as Marcus dominates Lefort. He repeatedly screams “You did this to me” and finishes Lefort with an uranage. He keeps screaming after the match.

Winner: Marcus Louis

In a promo eerily similar to Bayley’s, Hideo Itami says he’s bringing a friend to take down the Ascension next week.

Sami Zayn vs. Titus O’Neil

Titus O’Neil aggressive from the jump, hitting Zayn with his signature series of backbreakers into a commercial. Back from it, O’Neil is working a bear hug fir a solid minute. O’Neil is in the ropes but still attacking Zayn with kicks, chokes and other cheap moves.

The crowd tries to fire Zayn up with “Ole” chants and it works until Titus slams him and mocks the chants. Titus tough talks Zayn, and spends the next few minutes repeatedly tossing Zayn from the ring. On the third attempt Zayn holds on and drops O’Neil’s head over the top rope and follows with a flying body press for two. Zayn comes off the ropes but is knocked silly with a big shoulder block. Titus hits a huge over-the-shoulder backbreaker but only gets two.

Zayn somehow tosses Titus overhead into the corner with the Exploder Suplex in an awesome spot. Really, that was awesome. Zayn connects with the Helluva Kick and wins.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After the match Tyler Breeze is out with a microphone and says Zayn doesn’t deserve a title shot. Breeze said he talked to Regal and next week it’ll be Breeze vs. Zayn.
