Booker T wins the Battle Royal!: The RAW guys wore Red-shirts and SmackDown! guys wore Blue-shirts.. .. RAW participants were William Regal, Tajiri, Hurricane, Rosey, Viscera, Rhyno, Val Venis, Tyson Tomko, Gene Snitsky, Chris Masters, Rob Conway, Sylvain Grenier, Simon Dean, and Maven.. SmackDown! participants were Booker T, Charlie Haas, Hardcore Holly, Paul London, Scotty Too Hotty, Nunzio, Funaki, Akio, Orlando Jordan, Doug Basham, Danny Basham, Mark Jindrak, Luther Reigns, John Heidenreich, Spike Dudley, and ….. Booker T won by last eliminating RAW’s Viscera and “Masterpiece” Chris Masters..
OPENING SEGMENT: Lilian Garcia sang America The Beautiful and they did an Iraq Video Tribute + USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!.. A new WrestleMania 21 commercial played featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin spoofing “The Gladiator”..
OPENING MATCH
Rey Mysterio defeated Eddie Guerrero: Eddie Guerrero looked shocked and frustrated after the match but still shook Rey Mysterio’s hand. Editor’s Note: Very good opener, it served its purpose getting the show off to a good start..
BACKSTAGE: Triple H (w/Ric Flair) and John Bradshaw Layfield (w/his Cabinit) exchanged words, hinting at a feud down the road. Adam Sandler & Rob Schneiner were shown sitting in the front row……
MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
Edge defeated Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho and Shelton Benjamin and Christian and Kane: They went straight into the crazy spot-after-spot action with well-choreographed stunts involving the Ladder. Chris Benoit opened up his stitches after a flying headbutt onto Kane off the Ladder. Benoit climbed the ladder but Edge whacked his arm with a steel chair and climbed up the ladder himself. Edge grabbed the briefcase and quickly bolted confidently with a euphoric smile on his face. Editor’s Note: They could have added 10 minutes of ‘wrestling’ at the beginning before getting into the spotfest..

Eugene Dinsmore + Muhammad Hassan & Khosrow Daivari + Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan: Eugene Dinsmore came out and cut his usual child-like promo before getting interrupted by Muhammad Hassan. Hassan yelled at Eugene and then put him in the Camel Clutch until Hulk Hogan made the save! The crowd went nuts for Hogan!!! INTERPROMOTIONAL MATCH
The Undertaker defeated Randy Orton w/Cowboy Bob Orton: Randy Orton reversed a chokeslam into an RKO but the Undertaker kicked out! Cowboy Bob Orton interfered, using his “cast” as a weapon, but it wasn’t enough. Randy went for a Tombstone on Undertaker, but it was reversed and Taker hit a tombstone for the win! The Undertaker’s winning streak is extended to 13-0 at WrestleMania. Editor’s Note: Very good effort by both players making each other look very good – great ending!
WWE WOMENS TITLE MATCH
Trish Stratus defeated Christy Hemme w/Lita to retain the WWE Women’s title: Editor’s Note: Trish Stratus prooved she is the best in the business by carrying Christy to a decent match..
INTERPROMOTIONAL MATCH
Kurt Angle defeated Shawn Michaels: Shawn Michaels went for a plancha and caught Kurt Angle in the mouth with his knee, busting his lip open! IN THE RING (PIPERS PIT)
Rowdy Roddy Piper & Stone Cold Steve Austin + Carlito Cool: Roddy Piper and Steve Austin started out exchanging words and slapping eachother. Eventually, Carlito Cool showed up and said neither of them were cool, and demanded they leave immediately. Piper grabbed an apple and spit it at Carlito Cool, who then attacked Piper on the spot. Piper poked Carlito in the eyes and Steve Austin gave him (Carlito) a Stunner! Austin and Piper then celebrated with a Beer Bash until Austin gave Piper a Stunner!
SUMO CHALLENGE MATCH
Akebone defeated The Big Show: This match was 100% worked. Akebono pushed the Big Show out of the ring. After this truly “unique” match, the Big Show shook hands with Akebono and they left together..
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
John Cena defeated John Bradshaw Layfield to capture the WWE championship!: John Cena got a clean pinfall on JBL after hitting the FU in the middle of the ring!
