King Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the WWE United States title: The lumberjacks went nuts and they immediately booked a Battle Royal..

BATTLE ROYAL
Won by the Great Khali:

IN THE RING
“Host” The Rock: The Rock kicked off the show welcoming the fans to WrestleMania 27!! FINALLY The Rock has come back to WrestleMania! He promised it would be the best Mania of all time and asked the fans if they could feel, taste, and smell, the electricity in the air. Rock then had some fun with the fans doing some cheesy chants and then proceeded to insult John Cena. The crowd started to boo, but a faint “fruity pebbles” chant also broke out. Rock led the crowd in some more cheesy chants and catch phrases. Rock cut a promo to hype the audience and then finished by allowing the fans to do his “if ya smell what the Rock is cooking!” catch phrase.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Edge (w/Christian) defeated Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez & Brodus Clay) to retain the World Heavyweight title: Ricardo Rodriguez introduced the number one contender, and 2011 Royal Rumble winner, Alberto Del Rio to the ring in a fansy Rolls Royce. He won the Rumble and gets the opening match at Mania. Brodus Clay was at ringside for Alberto, so Christian came out to support Edge. Ricardo & Brodus started interfering so Christian ran over, but he was taken out by a Fallaway-slam by Brodus! Inside the ring, Edge went for a spear but Alberto moved. Edge hit the corner and Brodus punched him, so he fell back into an Arm-bar from Alberto. Edge held on for a while, before fighting out of the hold. Edge went for a submission hold of his own (modified cloverleaf). Christian took out Brodus with a tornado DDT on the floor. Edge cinched it in, but Alberto escaped… Edge got right up and hit a spear to win the match! Upon his exit, Edge got up on Alberto’s car and gave it an elbow drop. Christian came out and gave Edge a crowbar so he could destroy the vintage Rolls Royce. Christian used a lead pipe to force the begging Alberto to keep his distance and watch the destruction of his prized vehicle. Alberto finally approached his vehicle and got down on one knee so he could cry.

GRUDGE MATCH
Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio: Cody Rhodes came out wearing the clear protective mask to hide the ‘scars’ he got from reconstructive surgery after he was hit in the face by Rey Mysterio’s knee brace a few months ago. Rey debuted some new ring gear just like he does every year – this year a tribute to Captain American. Michael Cole claimed there was speculation that Rey doesn’t really need to wear a knee brace, but the protective mask that Cody wears is 100% legal. During the match, Cody took Rey’s knee brace off and threw it down to the floor. Cody did a long delayed standing suplex off the middle rope. Late in the match, Cody’s mask fell off and there was a lack of scars. Rey hit a 619 and some more offense but could not finish. Rey put Cody’s mask on over his mask and proceeded to use it as a weapon. Rey took off the mask and threw it away. Cody picked up Rey’s knee brace at ringside and cracked him with it, followed by the Cross Rhodes – allowing him to get the 1-2-3 and win the match!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Theodore Long & Snoop Dogg: They did some auditions in front of Snoop Dogg of WWE Superstars rapping or singing. William Regal did a rap, Beth Phoenix & Great Khali doing “Summer Lovin’,” Zack Ryder (knocked out by Roddy Piper and a coconut!), Chris Masters & Yoshi Tatsu doing WE WILL ROCK YOU while Masters bounced his pecs, and Hornswoggle acting like a tool. Snoop Dogg said they have a winner, but Long told him Hornswoggle can’t talk. Hornswoggle babbled on until Long/Dogg got up and left. Suddenly Hornswoggle broke out in a rap with the Bella Twins dancing next to him. Actually he was lip synching.

EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
The Big Show & Kane & Santino Marella & Kofi Kingston defeated The Corre (Wade Barrett & Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel & Ezekiel Jackson): They match started quickly and ended quickly with the babyface team walking out victorious. Kofi took out two members with a flying cross-body on the floor. Santino used the Cobra on Heath Slater, followed by the Big Show knocking out Slater with one punch for the win!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
The Rock & Eve Torres + Mae Young + Stone Cold Steve Austin: The Rock talked to WWE Women’s champion Eve Torres about WrestleMania and magical moments. Rock said whoever comes around the corner next he will create an unforgettable moment. Rock turned around and found Mae Young standing there. Mae said she wanted the People’s Studle! Rock said there was other strudle’s she should be craving. Rock introduced Eve to Mae and did an Adam & Eve joke. Rock said Mae will be kicking ass forever. Mae got frisky and slapped Rock on the butt before walking off with Eve. Suddenly Stone Cold showed up and went nose-to-nose with Rock. They greeted each other with a little tension, but shook hands. Lots of history there!

GRUDGE MATCH
Randy Orton defeated C.M. Punk: Randy Orton had a knee injury and C.M. Punk focused on it the entire match. Punk climbed to the top rope but Orton tripped him up. Orton then went for a Super-plex off the top rope and miraculously connected! Punk recovered and applied the Figure-four with Orton’s legs wrapped around the ring post. Punk put Orton in a leg-lock in the ring and worked over his leg. Eventually Orton mounted a come-back, but Punk stopped it by applying the Anaconda-vice! Orton rolled it over to get to the ropes and break the hold. Orton rammed Punk into the ring post and then hit the hanging DDT off the ropes. Orton set up for the RKO by punching the mat and getting that demonic look in his eyes. Orton changed his mind and went for a running punt kick, but his leg collapsed under him! Punk got to his feet with a sick smile on his face. Orton sprung up with an RKO attempt but Punk pushed out of it, miraculously saving himself. Punk did a springboard, but Orton grabbed him mid-air for a Super RKO for the WIN!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
The Rock Mean Gene Okerland + Pee Wee Herman: The Rock was talking to Mean Gene Okerland about memorable moments at WrestleMania. The Rock said he heard John Cena’s #1 fan was there and he was going to confront him tonight. Rock turned around and there was Pee Wee Herman standing there! Pee Wee yelled “you can’t see me!” Rock said he saw potential for Pee Wee to be a man and be on Team Bring It! Mean Gene came back with a Cena shirt and Pee Wee said he looks like a tool. Pee Wee said he wanted to be on Team Bring It and did the “if ya smelle what The Pee Wee is cookin’!”

ON STAGE: Howard Finkel introduced the 2011 Hall of Fame inductees; Abdullah the Butcher, Sunny!, The Road Warriors, Drew Carey, Bullet Bob Armstrong, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels..

SUPER GRUDGE MATCH
Michael Cole w/Jack Swagger defeated Jerry “The King” Lawler by reverse decision: Booker T & Jim Ross joined Josh Mathews on commentary for this match involving the feuding WWE commentators. Michael Cole, wearing goofy red amature wrestling gear, interrupted Jim Ross’s introduction. Cole cut a long boring promo insulting both Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross, before claiming Stone Cold would have to raise his arm in victory as everyone will call him the NEW Mr. WrestleMania! Jack Swagger came out next and started doing push-ups on the ramp. Suddenly, Stone Cold’s music hit and Steve Austin drove his four-wheeler down and circled the ring! Booker T called him the host of Tough Enough. Finally, Jerry “The King” Lawler came out looking very regal and in great shape. Cole was hiding in his Cole Mine. Referee Stone Cold ordered the bell to be rang so the match could get started. King left the ring and tried to get Cole out of the protective cubicle. Cole begged King to forget about everything and go back to announcing. Cole stuck his hand out through a hole in the glass. King shook his hand and then pulled it repeatedly, causing Cole to smash his face into the glass. King climbed over the glass and started pounding on Cole. King dragged Cole out of the cubicle and threw him into the Anonymous G.M. podium. Swagger attacked King from behind, allowing Cole to gain the advantage. Moments later, Swagger had King in the Anklelock on the floor. Stone Cold began counting but King rolled back in the ring. Cole went after King with some pathetic looking offense for several minutes. Cole put King in the Anklelock until King kicked out of it! King got to his feet as Swagger tried to motivate Cole. King stomped a mudhole in Cole’s chest and walked it dry. Swagger threw the towel in the ring for Cole, but Stone Cold just picked it up, whipped his head, and threw it back. Swagger got in the ring and yelled at Stone Cold, so he got a stunner and kicked out of the ring! Cole begged Austin to stop the match and save him. Austin pushed Cole into a right hand punch from King! Lawler then began pounding Cole once again. This match dragged on way too long. King connected with a great drop-kick! King went to the second rope and pulled down his shoulder strap before connecting with the fist drop! Stone Cold counted two before King pulled it up to break the count. King then put Cole in the Anklelock and Cole immediately tapped out but Austin hesitated for a few extra moments just to punish Cole! Swagger carried Cole backstage while Austin & Lawler had a beer bash in the ring! Booker T got in the ring and joined the party, doing a SPINEROONI! Stone Cold gave Booker T a beer and then delivered a Stunner! An email came in from the Anonymous RAW G.M. which was read by Josh Mathews. The email said the referee (Stone Cold) abused his authority so the King was disqualified and Michael Cole was the winner. King threw Josh Mathews in the ring so he could take a Stone Cold Stunner!

NOTE: Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler announced the rest of the show.. THANK GOD!

NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH
The Undertaker defeated Triple H by submission: Triple H came out to a different entrance song by Motorhead, along with some additional ‘King of Kings’ theatrics. The Undertaker’s entrance was cool, too. However, they were both a little too familiar. The crowd was buzzing once they finally got around to starting the match. They fought around ringside and started dismantling the announce tables and even destroyed what was left of the Cole Mine. Undertaker got in the ring and bounced off the ropes before launching himself over the top rope onto Triple H. Taker narrowly escaped death, thanks to Triple H, who blocked him from landing head-first on the floor! Taker set up for a Tombstone on the ring steps but HHH fought out. Taker charged HHH, who belly-to-belly suplexed Taker through the Spanish Announce Table! HHH hurt his arm. The announcers acted like the streak was in jeopardy. Back in the ring, Undertaker recovered and planted HHH with a choke-slam! They continued the battle. Undertaker brought a chair into the ring and began smashing HHH. HHH suddenly connected with a surprise Pedigree but could only get a two count! HHH went for a top rope move, but Taker reversed it and hit a Last Ride Power-bomb – but only got a two count! At the 15:00 mark, Undertaker went for the kill. He scooped up HHH and planted him with a Tombstone, but he miraculously kicked out!! Taker then went for a second Tombstone, this time on a chair, but HHH avoided it and planted Taker with a DDT on the chair! Both men struggled to get to their feet. Both men went for their finish, but it was HHH who got the Pedigree – for another near fall! They got up and HHH hit a third Pedigree for yet another near fall! HHH got up and repeatedly bashed Taker with the chair, screaming “STAY DOWN!” HHH fell over from exhaustion himself. HHH got up and Jerry Lawler called him “remorseless” as he set up for more chair shots. Undertaker willed himself up to his feet, only to be taken down by one more vicious chairshot to the head! Taker struggled to sit up, as HHH yelled at him to “STAY DOWN!” and “what is wrong with you?” Taker grabbed HHH by the throat, but HHH easily pushed him away. Taker put his fists up for a challenge. HHH picked up Taker and planted him with a Tombstone as the announcers went nuts! Somehow, the Undertaker kicked out and the match continued! HHH was stunned by his seemingly immortal opponent. HHH left the ring and found a sledge-hammer under the ring. HHH slipped back in the ring and stalked the Undertaker with the deadly weapon. Taker reached up and grabbed HHH by the wrist and pulled him down into the dreaded Triangle Choke! HHH dropped the weapon and struggled to escape the hold (called Hell’s Gate). HHH started to go limp, before reaching for the sledge-hammer again. HHH held up the sledge-hammer before suddenly dropping it and tapping out!!! Despite the finish, the Undertaker did not move for several minutes. Triple H stood in the corner watching a trainer check on Undertaker’s condition. Taker finally began to stir and both men struggled to exit the ring. Undertaker collapsed on the floor at ringside, while HHH showed concern. This was kind of a bizarre moment, as Undertaker acted DEAD. The drove a motorized stretcher out to ringside and loaded the Undertaker onto it. Dean Malenko was out there with some additional staff members. Undertaker was driven up the ramp backstage to a polite but somewhat confused reaction. Seemed like it was Undertaker`s last match.

SIX PERSON TAG TEAM MATCH
John Morrison & Trish Stratus & Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi defeated Dolph Ziggler & LayCool (Michelle McCool & Layla El) w/Vickie Guerrero: Vickie came out and called LayCool her best friends and introduced Dolph Ziggler as her ‘business associate.’ I hate Snooki but I’m going to give her a chance here. She claimed on Twitter than if WWE asked her to go full-time she would do it. Members of LayCool argued over which one would start the match against Trish Stratus. Trish and Michelle were up on the top rope bashing each other when they crashed and burned on the floor. Back in the ring, Michelle went for a kick on Trish, who moved, causing Michelle to accidentally kick Layla. The guys finally got involved outside of the ring. Snooki was tagged in and she did a couple hand-spring back-flips into an elbow on Michelle in the corner. She then hit a round-house splash on Michelle for the 1-2-3! Okay good for her, even though it was really choreographed, she did very well for herself.

IN THE RING: Ring announcer Justin Roberts announced a new attendance record for the George Dome with 71,617 fans attending WrestleMania 27!

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
WWE champion The Miz w/Alex Riley vs. John Cena ended in a double countout: Before the match, they showed a really nice video featuring the evolution of the Miz`s character and really made him look like star (and heree he is in the main event of WrestleMania). They really put some money into Miz`s entrance (sarcasm), as they set up some inflatable letters on the stage which spelled ÀWESOME!. The Miz came out with Alex Riley, who was supposed to be FIRED a few weeks ago. Cena got a huge choir to sing for his entrance, along with a video about Cena`s evolution in wrestling. Cena came out and sprinted to the ring. Something happened along the way which stunned Cena and threw him off his game. Cena got Miz in the STF until Miz made it to the ropes for the break. Cena went face first into the exposed steel turn-buckle and walked into a Skull Crushing Finale – but Cena kicked out! Miz went for a second Skull Crushing Finale but the referee was accidentally knocked out. Cena hit the Miz with an Attitude Adjustment, but there was no referee to count. Alex Riley slipped in the ring and bashed Cena with the metal briefcase! Miz went for the cover but the groggy refere could only count two before Cena kicked out. Riley distracted the referee whil Miz picked up the briefcase. Miz swung at Cena but accidentally knocked Riley off the ring apron! Cena connected with an Attitude Adjustment but the Miz rolled out of the ring. Cena tackled Miz over the security wall. The referee counted to ten and ruled the match a draw due to countout, which means the Miz retains his WWE championship!

IN THE RING: The Rock came down to the ring and immediately an email came in from the Anonymous RAW General Manager. The Rock went over to the computer to check it out. The Rock began to read the email, but then said “it doesn`t matter what you think!” before tipping the computer over. The Rock said he was not going to let WrestleMania end with a double countout, so he was ordering the match to be restarted. Rock said it was time to give the people what they want!!!

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP NO-DQ NO-COUNTOUT MATCH
The Miz w/Alex Riley defeated John Cena to retain the WWE Championship: John Cena and The Miz continued their match, but the Rock immediately got involved and planted Cena with a Rock Bottom! The Miz covered Cena for the 1-2-3 to retain his championship. The Miz celebrated for a few moments before he noticed the Rock looking at him. The Rock jumped back into the ring and layed the smack down on the Miz! Rock planted Miz with a Spine-buster and then hit him with the Peoples Elbow! The Rock closed WrestleMania 27!
