UNIFIED TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
The Big Show & Mike “The Miz” Mizanin defeated John Morrison & R-Truth to retain the Unified Tag Team titles: R-Truth came to the ring rapping his “What’s Up?” song and really having the time of his life. The Miz and Morrison started the match. The finish happened five minutes later when the Big Show blind-tagged himself in and knocked out John Morrison for the pinfall! Big Show & the Miz celebrated like they won the Superbowl on their birthday.

VIDEO PACKAGE: They showed clips of the hype surrounding WrestleMania in Phoenix including John Cena on Jimmy Fallon, various media interviews, newspaper articles, a golf tournament, reading & education awareness, Chris Jericho on George Lopez, and sights from Fan Axxess happening for several days before the event.

TRIPLE THREAT ELIMINATION MATCH
Randy Orton defeated Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes: Ted DiBiase got to keep the Legacy music, while Cody Rhodes has new entrance music (not as exciting). The crowd was quiet until Randy Orton showed up, at which point they started to stir. It was clear who the star was in this match. DiBiase & Rhodes stood side-by-side as Orton entered the ring. Jerry Lawler said that it was a case of two young men biting the hand that feeds them. Orton schooled his former protege’s early on, until DiBiase turned the tables allowing he and Rhodes to pound on Orton. The crowd got restless and began chanting “Randy! “Randy!” Rhodes & DiBiase continued to double-team Orton. The announcers pointed out that if Rhodes & DiBiase eliminate Orton, then they will have to face each other. Orton mounted a come-back, but DiBiase took him down with a huge clothesline. DiBiase & Rhodes cut Orton down with a high and low (clip knee and clothesline combo). DiBiase went for a cover, causing Rhodes to get mad. Rhodes tossed DiBiase over the top rope and gave Orton a Spine-buster. DiBiase broke up the pin and the Legacy guys began to have a meltdown. Orton rose to his feet, so Rhodes & DiBiase decided to work together again. Orton unleashed on both Rhodes & DiBiase. The fans demanded an RKO on Rhodes, but DiBiase pulled Orton out of the ring. Rhodes jumped over the top rope, but Orton moved, and he landed right on DiBiase! Orton planted both his opponents with a hanging DDT off the middle rope. Orton kicked DiBiase out of the ring and did his “Viper” set-up for the RKO on Rhodes. Suddenly Orton snapped out of it and stood up, took a few steps back, and delivered a running punt to the head of Rhodes! DiBiase snuck in and went for Dream Street, but Orton reversed it and took him out with an RKO and pinned him for the victory! They hyped this as an elimination match, but Orton only pinned one guy, so explain that one to me.

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Josh Matthews & Vickie Guerrero & Michelle McCool & Layla El & Maryse Ouellet & Alicia Fox + Jillian Hall + Santino Marella + Mae Young + Mean Gene Okerland + Melina Perez: Josh Matthews introduced Vickie Guerrero with a speech that was meant to sound like Shawn Michaels (putting everything on the line, yada yada) – then asked Vickie if he did it right? Vickie took the mic and pushed Josh out of the frame. Vickie started to cut a promo about creating a moment that will be remembered forever. Vickie brought in Jillian Hall to sing Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best.” Vickie seemed to like it but it appeared to hurt the other Divas ears. They all left, but Jillian continued to sing, that is, until Santino Marella showed up. Santino said “WrestleMania, brought to you by Slim Jim! Anything is possible when you bite into a Slim Jim!” Santino bit into a Slim Jim and Jillian turned into Mae Young (wearing Jillian’s black dress), who started to kiss Santino. Santino took another bite, and Mae turned into Mean Gene (wearing the same black dress). Santino took one more bite and Gene turned into the beautiful (injured) Melina Perez. Melina was looking hot and said “anything’s possible” and took Santino’s arm before walking out.

6TH ANNUAL MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
Jack Swagger defeated Kofi Kingston and Montel Vontavious Porter and Evan Bourne and Shelton Benjamin and Matt Hardy and Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre and Kane and Christian: Ten wrestlers is definitely way too many for a match like this, but let’s see what they can do. Jerry Lawler remarked that there must be 20 ladders scattered around ringside, which means there’s probably closer to ten. Love ya, King! Drew McIntyre was the first to attempt to climb up a ladder, but Matt Hardy quickly pushed him over. McIntyre was triple teamed. Everyone took turns trying to climb up the ladder while the rest of the pack pulled them down. Evan Bourne actually got his hand on the MITB case, but Kane grabbed him and choke-slammed him over the top rope. Hardy and Jack Swagger were on top of the ladder until they got pushed over in a crash and burn spot. Christian set up a ladder and began to climb, but Dolph Ziggler brought him down with the Zig-Zag! Ziggler set up the ladder and began to climb, but MVP pulled him down. MVP climbed up and Kane pulled him down. The first scary moment happened when Kofi & Shelton started using the ladders as weapons. Moments later, Kofi was very awkwardly power-bombed neck-first onto a ladder by Kane (pray for Kofi). Shelton Benjamin set up a ladder and began to climb, but Swagger speared him with a second ladder. SWagger then began bashing people with the butt of the ladder until Bourne took him out with a move off the top rope. Bourne began to climb, but didn’t get too far. Hardy and Christian brought more ladders in the ring and did a “has to be seen” move on Swagger. The extra ladders were used as scaffolds, pirched horizontally between the ropes and the main ladder standing in the middle of the ring. Christian and Hardy got on them and began to climb, and were joined by Bourne. Swagger pulled Hardy’s ladder out from under him, causing him to fall, as Christian battled Bourne on the other side. Christian fell down and Bourne hit a spectacular Shooting Star Press onto Christian!! Bourne and Hardy began to climb and met at the top of the main ladder. Hardy flipped Bourne over, causing him to crash down on the mat. Swagger climbed up and pushed Hardy up and over the ladder, sending him down crashing through the extra horizontal ladder (pray for Hardy). Shelton and MVP fought in the ring, but they ended up flying over the top rope to the floor. Kane rolled into the ring, but Dolph Ziggler jumped on his back. Ziggler hand his hand on the briefcase, but Kane pushed the ladder over – sending Ziggler crashing down. Kane picked up the ladder and threw it over the top rope, nearly killing a few front row fans. Kane choke slammed Ziggler on top of another ladder. Kane sandwiched Ziggler between the ladder and smashed him, before ripping the ladder into two pieces. Kofi foolishly tried to use the two pieces of the ladder as stilts to climb up, but Drew McIntyre spoiled that unique idea. McIntyre grabbed another ladder and set it up in the ring, climbed up to the top, but he was met by Matt Hardy. They punched each other until Matt fell. Matt pushed the ladder over and McIntyre was crotched on the top rope! Hardy began to climb, but Kane set up a taller ladder, which Christian climbed, and all three ended up on top. Kane was sent to down to the mat, and Christian took Hardy down with a modified Twist of Fate! Christian began to climb one ladder but Swagger pulled it down. Christian jumped off and climbed the second ladder. Christian was eye level with the briefcase, so Swagger took it and bashed him in the face! Swagger reached up and it took him an awkward amount of time to unhook the case but eventually he got it. Swagger celebrated for a long time remaining on top of the ladder. The announcers reminded the viewers that Swagger had already said if he won MITB he would cash it in on the same night! Stay tuned.

VIDEO PACKAGE: WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2010, featuring the inductions of Antonio Inoki, Mad Dog Vachon, Wendi Richter, Stu Hart, Gorgeous George, Bob Uecker, and “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase. DiBiase dropped money from the ceiling at the end of his acceptance speech.

ON STAGE: Howard Finkle introduced the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010. Hart Family members excluding Bret Hart (representing Stu Hart), Wendi Richter (gone blonde), Mad Dog Vachon (in a wheelchair), Antonio Inoki (Japanese icon), Bob Uecker (Mr. Baseball), Betty Wagner (former wife of Gorgeous George), and “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase!

GRUDGE MATCH
“The King of Kings” Triple H defeated “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus: Sheamus did the same entrance he’s been doing since he debuted about a year ago. Triple H did the same entrance he’s been doing since 2002. Seriously, I thought they would add something special for the King of Kings this year. Triple H ended up selling a back injury to gain sympathy from the crowd, and Sheamus targeted it mercilessly. The match really began to drag with Sheamus methodically dismantling Triple H. The announcers tried to cover for the dullness by saying Sheamus was wrestling like a veteran. Triple H mounted a comeback, and the momentum changed. I was about to say Triple H looks like he spent some extra time in the tanning bed, but maybe it’s just because he’s wrestling Sheamus (who has extremely pale skin). Sheamus squirmed out of a Pedigree attempt and Bicycle-kicked HHH straight in the face, but HHH kicked out of the pin attempt (first person to ever kick out after the big boot). Sheamus went for a Razor’s Edge, but Triple H reversed it into a Spine-buster! Both men were exhausted, but Sheamus connected with another Bicycle-kick to HHH’s head! Sheamus lifted HHH’s limp body, setting up for a Razor’s Edge, but he was playing posem and caught Sheamus with a semi-botched Pedigree for the victory! He lost his grip in mid-air and lost contact with Sheamus.

GRUDGE MATCH (IF REY LOSES HE JOINS STRAIGHT EDGE SOCIETY)
Rey Mysterio defeated C.M. Punk (w/Luke Gallers & Serena): Before the match, C.M. Punk said the 70,000 people in attendance are so drugged up that they believe Rey Mysterio is a superhero. Punk said they think he is a monster, but he is not a monster, he is a savior! Punk proclaimed that he choses to be drug free, and choses to be better than every single one of them. Punk predicted victory tonight and said Rey will join the Straight Edge Society. Punk has really greasy chest hair. He should have put THAT on the line. Rey Mysterio’s music played, but it took him several moments to appear. The announcers covered saying Mysterio was playing mind games with Punk. Rey had a new mask with an Avatar theme, complete with long braided pony tail. The match started and Luke Gallows & Serena circled the ring looking for opportunities to interfere. Punk kept trying to win by countout, but Rey climbed back into the ring. A few minutes later, Rey paid tribute to Eddie Guerrero with an attempted Frog-splash, but Punk moved and Rey hit the mat. Rey recovered and went for a 619, but Serena got in the way and saved Punk. Rey turned around and Luke Gallows was standing there. Punk took Rey up for a GTS, but Rey squirmed out and pushed Punk into Gallows. Rey hit the 619 and a Spring-board splash for the victory!

NO-HOLDS-BARRED / LUMBERJACK MATCH
Bret “Hitman” Hart defeated Vince McMahon by Submission: Bret Hart came out wearing Jean shorts and a leather jacket – basically what he’s been wearing on RAW every week. So anybody hoping for a wrestling match will be disappointed. Vince McMahon came out to the stage with a microphone. Uh oh. Vince said Bret Hart was in HIS ring, at his greatest creation – WRESTLEMANIA! Vince said Bret deserved a WrestleMania-sized SCREWING. Vince said he shelled out a lot of money and bought himself a bunch of Lumberjacks and a guest referee. Vince told Bret to remember one thing, “Bret screwed Bret, and Vince screwed Bret, and now Vince and your entire family screwed Bret!” Suddenly, the Hart Family, led by the Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd & Natalya Neidhart), showed up behind Mr. McMahon as he walked to the ring. All the Hart brothers and sisters were there, including Diana Hart with all the charisma of a bowl of Corn Flakes. This was terribly unrealistic (or is it?), but Matt Striker called it “GENIUS.” Bret Hart looked heart-broken when Bruce Hart jumped in the ring and took off his jacket, revealing a referee shirt, and hugged Vince McMahon. Bret Hart took the microphone and yelled at his family for betraying him. Bret said he knows the Hart family well enough to know they all got paid up front. Bret said if there’s one thing he’s learned from the Montreal screwjob, it’s that there’s nothing sweeter than a good double-cross. Bret said the Hart family was stronger than ever and they told him what Vince was trying to do. Bret said they all agreed to turn WrestleMania 26 into the night that Bret SCREWED Vince! Bret then got a hug from big brother Bruce. The bell rang and Bret started punching Vince. The Harts cheered for Bret Hart. Bret dumped Vince out of the ring, and all of the Harts took turns taking their shots. Even Natalya hauled off and slapped Vince accross the face! The Hart Dynasty did most of the damage, and Matt Striker remarked “good luck on your future endeavers!” David Hart Smith lifted Vince up on the floor and Tyson Kidd went to the top rope and they did a super killer Hart Attack. They finally pushed Vince back into the ring, where Bret worked over his knee. Vince rolled out of the ring, only to get assaulted by the Harts some more. Vince pulled a crowbar from under the ring and the Harts scattered. Vince rolled into the ring and brought the crowbar with him. Bret ducked and continued to beat up his former boss. Tyson Kidd picked up the crowbar and handed it to Bret, so he repeatedly bashed Vince with it. Jerry Lawler remarked “thirteen years this has been building up.” Bret began to set up for the Sharpshooter, but aborted in favor of inflicting more damage with the crowbar. Bret went back to the Sharpshooter idea, but was sure to give Vince a kick to the crotch and hamstrings first. David Hart Smith slid a folding chair in the ring. Bret set it up and took a seat beside the fallen McMahon. Bret waited for Vince to rise to his feet and then cracked him with a chairshot to the back! Bret whacked him again and again and again and again and again and again… and again… and again… Bret jammed the edge of the chair into Vince’s spine over and over. Another chairshot. One more. Another one. One more. Finally Bret dropped the chair and went for the Sharpshooter. The Harts cheered (since the fans weren’t cheering much) as Bret rolled Vince over. McMahon immediately tapped out to the Sharpshooter. Bret invited the Hart family in the ring to celebrate around Vince’s corpse.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: WrestleMania 27 will take place in Atlanta, GA (2011)..

IN THE RING: Ring announcer Justin Roberts announced that the official attendance for WrestleMania 26 was 72,219!

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Chris Jericho defeated Edge to retain the World Heavyweight title: They built this match around these two having grown up in the business together. Of course they pushed the Spear factor. Edge has been hitting spears on Jericho for the last month, but as of this past Friday on SmackDown!, Jericho had figured out how to avoid the spear. Edge had foolishly taught Jericho how to defeat him. Late in the match, Jericho tried to spear Edge, but Edge connected with a boot to Jericho’s head! Edge then wanted a spear, but Jericho countered into a Code-breaker! A minute later, Jericho put Edge in the Walls of Jericho, eventually modifying into a single-leg crab, before Edge made it to the ropes to break the hold. Edge clotheslined Jericho and they both spilled over the top rope. Jericho grabbed the World title, but Edge caught him. Edge accidentally knocked down the referee, and Jericho whacked Edge with the championship belt! Jericho went for a cheap pinfall, but Edge kicked out! Jericho couldn’t believe it! Jericho waited for Edge to rise, and connected with another Code-breaker for the victory! After the match, Jericho intended to re-injure Edge’s achilles tendon, but Edge fought back. Edge cleared the Spanish announce table and started to go nuts. Edge mounted the regular announce table and ran accross, spearing Edge off the table through the barricade into the time keepers position. It was all extremely protected. This feud will obviously continue……

10-DIVA TAG TEAM MATCH
Vickie Guerrero & Michelle McCool & Layla El & Maryse Ouellet & Alicia Fox defeated Beth Phoenix & Mickie James & Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres: I hate that this match is even wasting time on the PPV, but does it have to be squeezed between two championship matches in the third-to-last spot? They showed a group of fans holding signs that read “EXCUSE ME!” Okay thank you stupid marks for encouraging a stupid gimmick. Just like Groundhog Day, that means three more months of Vickie Guerrero. The babyface team stormed the ring and everybody jumped out of the ring except Vickie. Unfortunately for Vickie, that meant she had to start the match with Beth Phoenix. They cornered Vickie and took turns tagging in and hitting her. Vickie screamed at Kelly “EXCUSE ME! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?” (very annoying). Kelly went for a pin on Vickie, but Michelle McCool ran in and gave her a Faith Breaker (Styles Clash). Mickie hit Michelle with a DDT. Layla hit Mickie with a weird move. Gail Kim hit Layla with a cool move meant to separate your shoulder. Maryse hit Gail Kim with the French Kiss. Eve Torres hit Maryse botched something-or-other. Alicia Fox hit Eve with a cool Scissors Kick (the only move she can do right). Finally Beth Phoenix planted Alicia with the Glam-slam! Beth turned her attention to Vickie, who was cowering in the corner. Beth put her hand on Vickie’s shoulder and she screamed. Michelle came in floored Beth with a kick to the head. Michelle encouraged Vickie to do a Frog-splash – but not before they skipped accross the ring holding hands. Michelle helped Vickie up to the top rope and held her hand so she didn’t fall. Vickie jumped off and awkwardly splashed Kelly. She botched the pin, so the referee had to start over, but eventually she scored the pinfall and ruined WrestleMania for me.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
John Cena defeated Batista to win the WWE Championship: Batista came out with a basic no-frills entrance, with a spotlight following him down to the ring. The did something special for John Cena’s entrance (finally!). They brought out the Honor Guard doing some fansy rifle twirling (sorry, I bet there is a more appropriate term). Cena then came out and walked through the line-up and ran to the ring on a mission. Not as spectacular as Cena’s entrances at previous WrestleManias. They did something similar with Kurt Angle in TNA, but not as flashy. Three minutes into the match, Batista hit Cena with a sick DDT on the top or the head. Six minutes into the match, both men were showing signs of exhaustion, as they traded punches. Batista had the advantage, but Cena made an exciting come-back! Cena went for the five-knuckle-shuffle, but Batista popped up and hit a Spine-buster! Batista went for a Batista-bomb, but Cena reversed it into an STF(U) submission. Batista crawled and reached the ropes, so the referee had to force Cena to break the hold. Batista got up and shoulder-blocked Cena in the corner, and then placed him in the seated position on the top rope. They soon clinched knuckles for a test of strength. Cena went to the top rope and did the “you can’t see me” before jumping off and hitting a super five knuckle shuffle! Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment, but Batista fought out of it and planted Cena with a Batista-bomb! Cena kicked out and Batista couldn’t believe it! Batista went for a second Batista-bomb, but Cena countered, then Batista countered, then Cena countered AGAIN with a huge Attitude Adjustment! Cena covered Batista, but he miraculously kicked out after a two count! Cena slowly climbed to the top rope and tried to recreate the move from SummerSlam that previously broke Cena’s neck. Batista didn’t catch him properly and it wasn’t as effective. Batista went in for the kill with another Batista-bomb, but Cena avoided it and locked Batista in the STF until he tapped out! Cena celebrated with the fans, and posed with a fan wearing a “WE HATE CENA!” t-shirt. The geek was marking out and Cena had a big grin on his face cause he knew the guy looked foolish.

CAREER VS. STREAK – WRESTLEMANIA 25 REMATCH
The Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels: The seeds were planted for tonight’s epic encounter at WrestleMania 25 when Shawn Michaels faced the Undertaker in what would be named Match of the Year. The torment of losing that match led Michaels to challenge Undertaker to a rematch at this year’s WrestleMania. Undertaker initially declined, which caused Michaels to go on a mission to change Undertaker’s mind by costing him the World Heavyweight title at the Elimination Chamber PPV. Undertaker did agree to the match, but only if Michaels put his career on the line against the streak. It would be tough to top last year’s performance. Shawn Michaels came down and did not give the impression that he was going to the ring for the last time ever. The Undertaker got some special effects for his entrance, as usual, but Michaels maintained his composure. Michaels showed that he was not intimidated by doing the cut-throat gesture right in Undertaker’s face. Undertaker got annoyed and charged accross the ring as the bell rang to start the match. They went full steam ahead right away. Undertaker did the old school off the top rope and it looked like he tweeked his left knee or ankle. Undertaker went for an early Tombstone, but could not execute. Shawn noticed Undertaker favoring his left leg, so he went right after it. A minute later, Undertaker picked up Michaels and drove him back-first into the ring post on the floor. Taker targetted Michaels’ notoriously bad back (the injury that retired him in 1994). Back in the ring, Michaels put Undertaker in the figure-four and sinched it in. Undertaker reversed it, so Michaels released the hold. Both men began to exchange chops to the chest. Michaels kipped up and walked right into a Choke-slam, but kicked out after two. Undertaker went for a Tombstone, but Michaels squirmed out and applied an Anklelock on his injured leg. Undertaker delivered kicks to the head of Michaels in order to break free of the hold. Shawn clotheslined Undertaker over the top rope. Michaels did a springboard backflip but Undertaker caught him and planted him with a Tombstone on the floor! The announcers proclaimed that Michaels HAD TO BE finished after that. They somehow made it back in the ring, where the Undertaker went for a Last-ride Powerbomb, but his leg gave out and Michaels drove his face into the mat. Michaels went to the top rope and went for a flying elbow drop, but Undertaker lifted his knees! This injured Shawn’s ribs. Undertaker put Michaels in the Hells Gate submission, but then Michaels flipped into a pinfall attempt (only 2 count). Michaels connected with the super-kick out of nowhere but only got a two count! Michaels went for another super-kick, but Undertaker blocked it and turned it into Last Ride Powerbomb! Michaels miraculously kicked out after two, saving his career for the time being. Undertaker got up and showed frustration over his leg injury, and not being able to put Michaels away. Undertaker cleared the announce table, and planned to Last Ride Powerbomb Michaels onto it. Michaels slipped out of the Powerbomb and super-kicked Undertaker, who fell on top of the announce table. Michaels pulled himself up to the top rope and performed an amazing moonsault onto Undertaker’s lower extremities – destroying the table. Michaels actually missed his spot, but Undertaker did a good job making it look good. Jerry Lawler thought Undertaker’s leg was broken. Michaels pushed Undertaker back into the ring and killed him with the most brutal super-kick of all time! Michaels made the cover, but Undertaker managed to kick out! A small group of fans began to chant “This is Awesome!” but it didn’t catch on. It would have been nice to year 72,000 fans chanting that for a change. Michaels went for another super-kick, but Undertaker countered into a Choke-slam! Undertaker got up and stumbled over to Michaels, helped him up, and picked him up for a Tombstone. Undertaker planted Michaels with a Tombstone, but Michaels dug down deep and kicked out! Undertaker couldn’t believe it! Michael Cole said no one wants the streak to end and no one wants the career to end – something’s got to give! Undertaker regained his composure and took the straps down, Undertaker started to do the cut-throat gesture, but stopped. Undertaker looked down at Michaels, showing respect, telling him to “STAY DOWN!” Michaels pulled himself up to Undertaker’s chest level, and gave him the cut-throat gesture. Michaels slapped Undertaker accross the face, causing Undertaker to jerk him up and give him a leaping Tombstone Pile-driver for the win!! It was the nail in the coffin for Shawn’s career. This was somewhat similar to Ric Flair telling Michaels to put him out of his misery two years ago. Undertaker extends the winning streak to 18-0. Excellent match; better than last year? I would say equal at best, which would be a great accomplishment.

POST MATCH: The Undertaker helped Shawn Michaels up to his feet, shook his hand, and embraced in the middle of the ring. Shawn began to tear up as the fans gave him a standing ovation. Shawn dropped to his knees and praised God, and then thanked the fans. He walked up to the top of the stage and dropped to his knees, once again acknowledging the man upstairs. Lawler closed the PPV saying “Shawn, it’s over. Good bye. We’ll miss you.” Let’s hope he gets a better send-off tomorrow night on RAW.
