George “The Animal” Steele remained outside the ring for the first portion of the match. George picked on Jim Niedhart from the outside, then pulled him out to eliminate him! The final three were Bad News Brown, Junk Yard Dog, Bret “Hitman” Hart.. Bad News Brown & Bret Hart double-teamed and eliminated Junk Yard Dog. Bad News and Hart celebrated as “CO-WINNERS” but Bad News snapped and eliminated Hart! Bret Hart reentered the ring and destroyed the winners Trophy (which was 7 feet tall) – thus turning Bret Hart babyface!

Ted DiBiase (w/Virgil & Andre The Giant) defeated “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan: Andre The Giant scooped the leg of Jim Duggan, helping Ted DiBiase advance in the tournament.. Duggan got his 2X4 and cleared the ring, but the damage had been done..

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant (w/Ted DiBiase & Virgil) ended in a DOUBLE DQ!: Both Andre The Giant and Hulk Hogan used steel chairs and got disqualified.. This meant that if Ted DiBiase beat Don Muraco, he would recieve a bye into the finals! After the match, Hulk Hogan assulted Virgil, and slammed Andre The Giant inside the ring!

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH
Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake defeated WWF Intercontinental champion Honky Tonk Man (w/Jimmy Hart & Peggy Sue) by DQ: Peggy Sue was played by former Women’s champion Sherri Martel. Brutus Beefcake had Honky Tonk Man in the sleeper when Jimmy Hart knocked out the referee with the megaphone! Beefcake put Honky Tonk to sleep and then chased Jimmy Hart under the ring and before dragging him out! Beefcake then gave Jimmy Hart a haircut while Peggy Sue tried to revive Honky Tonk Man! The referee disqualified Honky Tonk Man and awarded the match to Brutus Beefcake, but no title change..

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
The Islanders (Haku & Tama) & Bobby “The Brain” Heenan defeatd The British Bulldogs (The Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) & Koko B. Ware w/Matilda: Bobby Heenan came out wearing a specially made suit to protect himself from Matilda! The Islanders dropped Bobby Heenan on top of Koko B. Ware for the pinfall victory! The Bulldogs unleashed Matilda, who had about as much wrath as a kitten, on Bobby Heenan after the match.. The Brain had to “act” like he was being mauled by Matilda..

SPECIAL FEATURE: Howard Finkel introduced Jesse “The Body” Ventura, who stood on the WrestleMania IV banner and posed for the thousands of fans..

TOURNAMENT MATCH – SEMI-FINAL
“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase w/Andre The Giant received a bye into the Semi-Finals: Howard Finkel announced Ted DiBiase advancing due to the Andre-Hogan draw in the quarter finals..

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Bobby “The Brain” Heenan cut a furious promo complaining about Matilda’s attacking him..

TOURNAMENT MATCH – SEMI-FINAL
Randy “Macho Man” Savage w/Elizabeth defeated One Man Gang w/Slick by DQ: Slick passed his cane into One Man Gang, who used it on Randy Savage in front of the referee – causing the disqualficiation. Randy Savage advanced into the finals against Ted DiBiase..

WWF TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Demolition (Ax & Smash w/Mr Fuji) defeated Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) to win the WWF Tag Team titles!: Late in the match, Rick Martel locked Smash into the Boston Crab. Tito Santana tried to prevent Mr. Fuji from interfering, and the referee was distracted by this. Ax slid in the ring with Mr. Fuji’s cane and bent it over the back of Martel’s neck! Smash pinned the unconscious Rick Martel to win the WWF Tag Team titles!

BACKSTAGE NTERVIEW: Craig DeGeorge interviewed the NEW Tag Team champions Demolition with Mr. Fuji (victory celebration)..

TOURNAMENT MATCH – FINALS
Randy “Macho Man” Savage w/Elizabeth defeated “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase w/Andre The Giant: The special guest ring announcer was Bob Euker, and VERY special guest time keeper was Vanna White. As the two competitors were locking up, the crowd began to chant for Hulk Hogan to appear. Moments into the match, Andre The Giant tripped up Randy Savage as he bounced off the ropes. A few minutes later, Randy Savage tossed Ted DiBiase to the outside and climbed to the top rope! Andre The Giant stood over Ted DiBiase so that Randy Savage couldn’t leap onto him! Savage went over and whispered something into Elizabeth’s ear, and she immediately ran to the backstage area. Seconds later, Elizabeth reemerged with an equalizer, the Immortal Hulk Hogan!!!!!! Hogan got a steel chair and took a seat in the corner of the Macho Man and kepy his eye on the evil Giant. Late in the match, Andre distracted the referee, so Hogan came in and clobbered Ted DiBiase! Randy Savage got up and hit the famous Flying Elbow Drop on DiBiase and pinned him to win the match! Hulk Hogan grabbed the new WWF Championship belt and presented it to Randy “Macho Man” Savage, the NEW Undisputed Champion!
