David Arquette - WCW World Champion: No Hall of Shame would be complete without David Arquette.. One of the biggest mistakes in the history of wrestling.. Even David Arquette himself aknowledges that his World title reign was ridiculous.. With booking decisions like that, it's no wonder WCW went out of business.. The Backstory here is that David Arquette & Diamond Dallas Page had starred in a movie called "Ready To Rumble" and WCW decided to make an angle out of it to promote the movie..

It all went down WCW Thunder on April 26, 2000.. Diamond Dallas Page & David Arquette challenged Jeff Jarrett (World Champion) & Eric Bischoff to a match where whoever scored the pin, would win the World title.. Arquette ended up getting the upset pinfall on Bischoff to literally SHOCK the world! Arquette would then put the World title up for grabs in a three tier cage match between DDP & Jeff Jarrett at Slamboree.. Arquette would turn heel on DDP helping Jeff Jarrett become World Champion again.. Arquette came out on Nitro and cut a horribly pitched promo on DDP which made it even worse..
