WRESTLING VIDEO GAMES

WWE RAW

by THQ (for Xbox)

Description: Raw for X-box was a massive letdown. My sources tell me that Vince McMahon was pressuring THQ to release the game. So when the game was put on the shelves, what you were actually playing was a beta-type version of the game. Version 1.0. There were so many problems with the game, it had some merits however, it wasn't a huge letdown...I'm just kidding, it was a massive letdown.

Let me start off with some of the good points in the game, I like some people, love creating wrestlers, I found that the C.A.W (Create a Wrestler) feature in the game was moderatly alright, it wasn't very complex for the appearance, but long for moves, which is good, moves should take long, so you can get into great detail of exactly what you want. My cousin likes the hairstyles, they were sub-par, but you can get massive hair which is kind of cool. Other things that are ok are some of the characters, only a few though.
There's so many things that are completely awful in this game, like Triple H for instance, this character looks awful, it looks absolutely nothing like him, it's like they just took a developer's head, and put it on his body. The controls are clunky, and hard to understand and learn, it took me a good day to get them down pat. Another thing wrong is the loading times, it's so incredibly slow, this game is just incredibly bad. Skip this game all together, unless you want it for your collection, if you have a choice, take my advice, don't buy this, don't rent it, don't borrow it off a friend/relative; just get WWE Raw 2, or wait the month to get the new one: Wwe Wrestlemania 21.
