Empire State Wrestling (ESW) returns to Good Times of Olean, 800 East Main Street, Olean, NY on Saturday, October 22 featuring current Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling superstar Braxton Sutter. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with a bell time set for 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $17 for front row and $12 for general admission. All tickets increase $3 at the door.

Sutter, formerly known as Pepper Parks, grew up in Western New York and has wrestled for several of the top independent wrestling promotions in the United States, Canada and Japan. Prior to signing with TNA, Sutter wrestled for Ring of Honor (ROH) and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW). He also held the National Wrestling Alliance National Heavyweight Championship and was ranked No. 159 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s PWI 500.

Sutter is no stranger to success locally, as he previously held one half of the ESW Tag Team Championships. He will take on North Tonawanda’s Kevin Bennett in a rematch from ESW’s May show in Lockport, in which Sutter pulled out the victory. The show will also include some of the top local wrestling talent in the area. Newly crowned ESW Heavyweight Champion Bill Collier will face the winner of a 10-man battle royal. Anthony Gaines of Cheektowaga will square off against Matt Milan from Niagara Falls. Vince Valor, also hailing from the Cataract City, will face Rochester’s Rob Sweet.

Former Japanese wrestling star Punisher Van Slyke will appear, as well as Olean’s own Big Cat Lemmer. ESW regulars James Sayga, Frankie Feathers, The Oliver Street Express, Terrell Kenneth, JamesSantel, Michael  McKinger and A Few Good Brothers are also scheduled to wrestle, with more to be announced.

ESW promotes eight shows a year, primarily held at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawanda, N.Y., boasting crowds of over 400 wrestling fans, who come to cheer the good guys and boo the bad guys of the sport. Twice a year, larger “super show” events are held at the Kenan Center inLockport, N.Y., drawing crowds of up to 1,000. Founded in 2002, ESW is an independent professional wrestling promotion run by Brett Stymus of Lockport. Over half of the performers involved in ESW reside in the Western New York area.
