Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore has signed back with the company. He underwent drug testing at a medical facility to prove he was clean after a well documented pain pill addiction that led to his release in 2007. From what we understand he will be working specifically with new talent to help them develop which can only be a positive for those who get to work with him.

I have a story on Superstar Billy Graham at http://tinyurl.com/m7gaa8 who is selling his Hall of Fame ring on eBay. Bidding is over $15,000 with 6 days to go which is a staggering amount of money if the bidder is good.

Jillian Hall has been dealing with an undisclosed illness and a death in her family. She is expected to start back on the road very soon. I just wanted to mention this as we’ve received a lot of email asking her whereabouts.

Bill Goldberg was on TMZ TV this past week. When asked if he would ever go back to WWE he said that Vince McMahon was “the last motherf—-r on earth” he would ever work for.

WWE called The Godfather (Charles Wright) to be guest host for Raw in Las Vegas on 8/24. If this happens presumably he will be bringing “hoes”
which is interesting given the TV-PG direction of the shows. Saying that, on Raw this past week we had Santino simulating sex with a Trish Sratus action figure. I guess they are still mad at her for not wanting to do Wrestlemania.

There are paparazzi photos of Batista at http://tinyurl.com/m9azew who it seems has managed to keep in shape following his recent arm surgery.

ECW on Tuesday drew a 1.3 rating.

7-11 is sponsoring SummerSlam. Kelly Kelly recently shot a TV commercial as part of a promotional deal.

Lilian Garcia is in Las Vegas today: http://twitpic.com/ajxls.

Alex Riley with Beverly Mullins from developmental worked a dark match at the TV tapings in Miami. Riley has a high school jock gimmick with Mullins, a former Playboy and Hooters girl, as his prom queen.

Justin King, a referee from developmental, was just called up to tour with the Raw crew.

Serena Deeb made her FCW debut at a house show last night in Punta Gorda, FL. She teamed with Maria and Angela Fong over Alicia Fox, Layla and Natalya. CM Punk, Festus, Tyson Kidd, Sheamus, Yoshi Tatsu and Tiffany, as ring announcer, also worked the show. We’re looking for reports from tonight’s FCW TV tapings to [email protected].

Some release dates for upcoming WWE DVD’s. Night of the Champions on 8/25, Best of Smackdown 1999-2009 on 9/15 and Summerslam on 9/22.
Typically the PPV’s come out on DVD 30 days after they aired on TV.
(Thanks to Michael Carpenter)

The Hell in a Cell PPV (new name of No Mercy) will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on 10/4.

Former Diva Stacy “The Kat” Carter will be the subject of an upcoming reality TV show.

The WWE stock closed at $13.61 today, its highest mark for a long time.

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING NEWS

Impact tonight on Spike has Amazing Red vs. Samoa Joe; Suicide vs. Chris Sabin; Sarita (Sara Stock) vs.  Melissa Flash (Cheerleader Melissa / Raisha Saeed no mask); Beer Money & AJ Styles vs. Booker T, Kevin Nash & Scott Steiner in an elimination match; and Sting vs. Kurt Angle in a non-title cage match.

Bobby Lashley announced on ESPN radio last night that he signed a contract with TNA. He said he would be doing both pro wrestling and MMA at the same time. He also talked about wanting to fight Broack Lesnar:
“I’m not going to say anything bad on Brock because Brock is the champion. My sights are set on Brock and I’m not saying that I want to fight him because he is the wrestling guy,” Lashley said. “I am saying that because I am a heavyweight fighter and he’s the heavyweight champ.
Eventually, I do want to fight Brock for that title.” TNA claimed in a press release that Lashley was the first person ever to do both wrestling and MMA at the same time. There have actually been many guys in the past who have done both, especially in Japan during the Pride years.

Matt Morgan was supposed to be a guest today on the Bubba radio show in Tampa. He didn’t arrive at the studio as scheduled so the producer called him and Morgan said he was running 10 minutes late. A short while later the producer said he talked to a TNA rep (Ross Forman) who claimed Morgan had been taken sick and couldn’t do the interview. What actually happened was yesterday on the same show somebody called in claiming to work backstage in TNA. They said that Karen Angle and Jeff Jarrett were an item and had recently moved in together. Bubba said he didn’t believe the caller. He attempted to call Angle, but Angle didn’t answer or call back. Bubba speculated today that TNA was mad at him for the previous day and made up the story about Morgan being sick. For what its worth Morgan isn’t sick and we’ve heard this rumor about Karen and Jarrett from several sources ever since Karen stopped appearing on TV.

The Sun at http://tinyurl.com/n49fmw has an interview with Abyss where talks about a dream match with Mick Foley and how WWE has tried to lure him away in the past.

Brian Fritz at http://tinyurl.com/ms4g2y has a Q&A with Mick Foley where he talks Victory Road and his match with Kurt Angle.

The Winston-Salem Journal at http://tinyurl.com/mpt5ny has a  story on TNA coming to town noting that its costing them $2000 to rent the building. The reporter mentions that if they sell out (they won’t) they will do $100,000 gate. TNA rep Steven Godfrey was quoted ala Jeremy Borash as saying: “The more people we see at the event, the longer a city sticks in our mind as a potential PPV site.”

Kevin Eck has an interview with Daffney at http://tinyurl.com/mtlqcr discussing her gimmick and whether a thumb tack match is more painful than getting ink.

The latest TNA Today webshow with Jeremy Borash and The British Invasion is up at http://tinyurl.com/mo4b48.

Foley is signing autographs at El Caribe Hotel in Brooklyn, NY on 8/1.

OTHER WRESTLING NEWS

Today marks the 21st anniversary of the death of Bruiser Brody and the 8th anniversary of the death of Freebird Terry Gordy. Jim Ross at www.jrsbarbq.com wrote: “Hard to believe that Bruiser Brody was senselessly killed today in 1988 at the age of 42. The wrestler who stabbed Brody to death in a Puerto Rican shower at an arena was tried and found innocent. The judicial system works in mysterious ways. Brody was arguably the best all around brawler I ever saw and was also one of the most fiercely independent individuals who ever laced up a pair of boots. Insiders either hated Brody or they liked and respected him. I have friends who still can’t stand the late Frank Goodish and his free spirit but I miss the guy and always enjoyed being around him… Also on this date in 2001 Terry Gordy died at 40 years of age. The former Freebird was the greatest in ring performer I ever saw when Terry was a teen. Gordy never lifted weights or participated in organized athletics or likely even graduated high school but his in ring timing and natural abilities were amazing. I have yet to see any one 16-17 years of age that even remotely compares to Terry Gordy nor any one in any developmental program or indy circuit.”

An update on Vamprio. He broke his back on 7/7 after jumping out of his bedroom window. The story goes that while he was sleeping a gang of robbers broke into his house. A cop who was patrolling the area noticed that his garage door had been broken open and called for back up. When more cops arrived they entered the garage and then the house but didn’t find anyone, except for Vampiro who was asleep in his bedroom. Vampiro opened his eyes to find cops standing over his bed pointing their guns at him. Naturally he freaked out and did a suicide dive out of his window. He suffered four cracked vertebrae but luckily no lasting damage. He is expected to make a full recovery and won’t require any surgery. Doctors have told him that with rehab he should be healthy again within three months.
