Tony Atlas was told creative has nothing for him right now since they moved Mark Henry to Raw. His contract expires soon and while he hasn’t been officially released he is under the impression he won’t be brought back.

Matt Hardy returns to TV on Friday’s edition of Smackdown. We had two reports from the TV tapings in Long Island saying he looked in great shape.

The Miz’ profile has been removed from the Raw-brand website in keeping with the storyline that he is “banned for all eternity” from Raw after losing to John Cena.

The episode of Psych with Cena airs on Friday, which is the fourth season premiere of the show on USA Network. He plays Ewan O’Hara, a special ops soldier and brother to Maggie Lawson’s character, who helps solve the murder of two soldiers and take down an officer involved in weapons trading.

Raw on Monday night did a 3.6 rating, down from last week’s 4.0.

The 7/31 edition of Smackdown did a 2.0 rating, its best number on MyNet in several months.

ECW on Tuesday night did a 1.25 rating. The show is pretty much holding its own despite the recent loss of Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger and Mark Henry to Raw, and Finlay and The Hart Dynasty to Smackdown.

New DX shirts arrived in the WWE merchandise warehouse this past week.

Friday’s Raw show in Denver, CO has been changed to a tri-branded show to make a mends over the recent debacle at the Pepsi Center. The advertised line up includes Triple H vs. Randy Orton in a steel cage; CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy in a ladder match; Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian in a hardcore match; and Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. MVP vs. Carlito in a fatal four-way.

Sgt. Slaughter was announced as the guest host for next week’s Raw. His appearance coincides with the promotion for the new G.I. Joe movie. Not sure Calgary is the best city to get the movie over.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated named Triple H #1 this year in their 500 chart of top wrestlers. I would love to know what criteria that was based on and how he finished ahead of Orton and Jericho.

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING NEWS

Brutus Magnus at http://tinyurl.com/n3rk8s talks up his match with Sting on Impact.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they did not santion the IWGP title match where Team 3D dropped the belts to The British Invasion, and therefore Team 3D are still the recognised champions. Vince Russo was the mastermind behind the title switch, which is history repeating itself, as while booking WCW a few years ago he had Jushin Liger drop the IWGP Jr Hwt title to Juventud Guerrera on Nitro, which New Japan didn’t sanction either. The tricky situation now is that the Brits are scheduled to defend the titles against Beer Money at the Hard Justice PPV in Orlando.

Bobby Lashley is featured on the promotional poster for the No Surrender PPV on 9/20. This will likely be his first title shot.
