During the tapings for the upcoming WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament today in London, British wrestling legend Johnny Saint and Triple H formally announced the launch of a new NXT UK brand featuring wrestlers from the UK and Ireland.

The announcement included details on the creation of two new championships: WWE United Kingdom Women’s Championship and WWE United Kingdom Tag Team Championships. New champions will be determined at upcoming live events.

The upcoming live events include:

* Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, at the Corn Exchange, Cambridge
* Saturday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Aug. 26, as part of Insomnia, the U.K.’s biggest gaming festival, at NEC Birmingham
* Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14, at Plymouth Pavilions
* Saturday, Nov. 24, and Sunday, Nov. 25, at Liverpool Olympia

It was not yet announced when the new brand would begin airing as a series, which is expected to be part of the WWE Network going forward.

Triple H first coined the term “Global Localization” in a presentation earlier this year during WrestleMania 34 weekend and was quoted in the announcement.

“The U.K. has an amazing talent base and incredibly passionate fans that are deserving of their own showcase. This is the next step in our ongoing strategy to create localized content and further develop our brand globally.”
