With Survivor Series only a few days away, the WWE did a great job this week of creating interest in the prestigious pay-per-view event while also creating the potential for some intriguing feuds in the near future. These are the three biggest storylines of the week in the WWE.

The Miz Wins Intercontinental Championship

The Miz and Dolph Ziggler have been involved in a great feud over the last few months as they battle over  Intercontinental Championship. The feud has been filled great matches and promos, which has helped revitalize the career of both wrestlers. The Miz finally got his rematch after losing the title at the No Mercy event last month. The match opened the 900th episode of “SmackDown,” and it quickly became one of the best matches on the show this year. After getting a little help from The Spirit Squad and his wife Maryse, The Miz was able to steal the title away from Dolph Ziggler. The Miz will now be forced to put his title on the line against Sami Zayn this Sunday at Survivor Series.

The Undertaker Returns

The Undertaker returned to WWE television on the latest episode of “SmackDown.” The Undertaker wanted to come out and reveal his loyalty to the brand during a landmark episode. He also issued a warning to  and Shane McMahon telling them to watch their back if they are not victorious over their competitors from “Raw” at Survivor Series. Having The Undertaker on the “SmackDown’ roster is a huge boost for the show even if it is only going to last a few months. His appearance perfectly set up a potential feud that can last until the Royal Rumble event in January. The Undertaker does not have many more matches left before retirement, so it will be fun to watch one of the last feuds of his career unfold.

Survivor Series Teams Work Together

After weeks of horrible story lines regarding the traditional Survivor Series matches, the WWE finally got it right this week. These teams of wrestlers are supposed to work together to represent their show at one of the most important events of the year, so it makes no sense to have them fighting against each other on a weekly basis. The men’s team on “Raw” finally worked together after weeks of bickering. The tag teams representing “SmackDown” also got the chance to work a match together. These simple matches helped create more intrigue for Survivor Series than the last few weeks of story lines combined. This edition of the Survivor Series is all about pitting “Raw” against “SmackDown,” so it only makes sense to have your teams try to work as a cohesive unit.
