The Sheepherders

  • Before becoming the lovable Bushwhackers, Luke and Butch were a heel tag team known as The Sheepherders.

World Wrestling Federation

  • December 1988: The Sheepherders joined the WWF, changing their name AND attitude, becoming known as the “Bushwhackers”.
  • December 30, 1988 – MSG: The Bushwhackers defeated The Bolshevics (Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov) in their WWF debut.
  • January 15, 1989 – Royal Rumble: Butch entered the Royal Rumble as the 10th participant and Luke entered as the 19th participant.
  • The Bushwhackers gained more victories over The Bolshevics, The Rougeaus, The Brain Busters, and the Powers of Pain.
  • January 21, 1989 – Superstars: The Bushwhackers defeated Jerry Price and Tom Stone.
  • January 29, 1989 – Wrestling Challenge: The Bushwhackers defeated Omar Atlas and Tim Horner.

  • February 12, 1994 – Superstars: The Bushwhackers defeated Barry Horowitz and Reno Riggins.
  • February 13, 1994 – Wrestling Challenge: The Bushwhackers defeated George South and The Brooklyn Brawler.
  • March 5, 1994 – Superstars: The Bushwhackers defeated Cory Student and Mike Khoury.
  • March 20, 1994 – WrestleMania X: The Heavenly Bodies defeated The Bushwhackers in the non televised dark match.
  • March 21, 1994 – Monday Night Raw: Tag team champions The Quebecers defeated The Bushwhackers to retain the titles.

  • April 1, 2001 – WrestleMania XVII: The Bushwhackers (Luke and Butch) competed in the gimmick battle royal.

In The Meantime

  • 2002: Luke Williams began doing bookings for IWA Puerto Rico.
  • Luke Williams was responsible for handling the contract negotiations between the WWF and Vader.
  • Butch Miller is now retired and living back in Wellington, New Zealand.
  • Butch Miller contracted a Staph infection, but recovered.
  • Butch Miller is also a columnist for New Zealand’s official wrestling website nzpwi.co.nz.
  • March 28, 2015–The Bushwackers were inducted into the WWE hall of fame.
