Brutus Beefcake appeared last night on the season premier of Sunset Flip Wrestling Show, which is hosted by Tommy Fierro and Jim Boy Star. Fierro wasted no time and went right into asking about Hulk Hogan’s new Celebrity Championship Wrestling project. Beefcake listed a bunch of the celebrities that were a part of the show and talked about how he and Brian Knobbs are doing the training for it. He said the celebrities are broke into two groups of five for the show.

The night of February 23rd 2008 will long be remembered by the fans of Defiant Pro Wrestling. This was a night that history was made in indy wrestling. Most particularly, indy wrestling in Connecticut.
It was the night that Defiant Pro Wrestling presented it’s marquee February event, BRUTAL LIAISONS. Many of the matches came about due to situations and circumstances that progressed for many months.

I’m on vacation, so I’m posting my usual July 4 column a bit early…this week.
When I post this column each July 4th holiday, I remember how many years it’s been since the death of former WWF referee Joey Marella in an automobile accident on the New Jersey Turnpike, while traveling to Newark, NJ from a WWF show in Ocean City, MD.

Pre Show Main Event: Dirty Ernie Osirus defeated Egotistico Fantastico with a code red (sunset flip powerbomb). Ego, a Chicago product and former WE developmental worker, was super duper over and got a “please come back chant.”
