Our resident philosopher looks at all the action and drama on the Tuesday Night Delight, ECW

There’s a new man atop Extreme Mountain. Christian defeated Tommy Dreamer in a fantastic match at Night of Champions. This week’s episode of ECW gave some of the new kids a chance to shine, especially Zack Ryder. The best part of the show? No Abraham Washington.

The show kicked off with a look at the ECW title match at Night of Champions. The match was a definite show stealer battle. Both Christian and Tommy were in control of the battle, until Christian detonated the KillSwitch to win his second ECW title.

Tyler Reks, now billed from Laguna Beach, CA, came out for the opening contest. Paul Burchill and his sister, Katie Lea Burchill, came out to battle Reks. Last week, Burchill attacked Reks after losing to the surfer boy.

The Kingfish Arnie Katz reports on the highlights and sidelights of Night of Champions and delves into the meaning of it all!.

Night of Champions, WWE’s late-July pay per view, unfolded at the Wachovia Center pretty much the way it looked on paper, though there were a few surprises

Fans didn’t care much for the tag team match, even though it was pretty good, and liked most of the rest of the card pretty well. It ended with a genuine “feel good” moment and als primed fans for storyline’s intended to take the show to SummerSlam at the end of August.

Let’s look at the matches and delve into what it means.

Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, profiles the wild and crazy life of Jeff Hardy. Hardy surprised a lot of people by taking the World title from C.M. Punk at Night of Champions.

Jeff Hardy is an enigma in the world of pro wrestling. He has been a World champion. He has also been fired from the WWE and TNA for various infractions, including no-showing a TNA event. Jeff defeated the crafty C.M. Punk to take the World title at Night of Champions.The win catapulted the wild child of wrestling to this week’s OWW Wrestler of the Week.
