IN THE RING
Jeff Hardy + Mr. Anderson + A.J. Styles & Ric Flair & Desmond Wolfe & Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm): Jeff Hardy came out and said that he wanted to know what was going on with Mr. Anderson. Anderson came out and explained that he likes being an asshole, and suggested that Hardy get in touch with his inner asshole. The fans began to chant ASSHOLE. A.J. Styles came out and said he found out he has a match with someone tonight even though that person doesn’t deserve to wrestle him. Hardy said he didn’t ask for a match with anyone. Styles said he wasn’t talking about Hardy. The cameras focused on Mr. Anderson. Styles said he was THE ONE, and asked Anderson if he knows who he is. Anderson cut a promo on Styles, introducing himself like only Mr. Anderson can do…. ANDERSON!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT: They announced a “Talk the Walk” challenge asking fans to send in videos of their best Ric Flair impressions for a chance to hang out with the Nature Boy himself..

NON (TAG TEAM) TITLE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Ink Inc. (Jesse Neal & Shannon Moore) defeated TNA World Tag Team champions The Band (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall & Eric Young) and Team 3-D (Brothers Ray & Devon): They explained the Freebird rule, where any two members of the Band can defend the tag team titles. The match started with all three members of the band on the ring apron, choosing to wait literally to the last second before revealing who would compete in the match. There has been a lot of heat between Brother Ray and protege Jesse Neal. The Band didn’t wrestle much of the match. The match ended when Neal speared Ray and pinned him to win the match. Ray went nuts after the match, yelling at Devon and then challenged Neal to a “Teacher vs. Student” match at Slammiversary. Devon tried to step in but Ray told him to stay out of it!

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Christy Hemme & Frankie Kazarian + Ric Flair + A.J. Styles: Frankie Kazarian said he was more confident now than he has his entire career for one reason. Ric Flair came in and said he was really impressed by Kazarian last week, and told Kazarian to manhandle Jay Lethal tonight. Flair said he sees his own skill and passion inside of Kazarian. Styles came in and said he was looking for Flair to talk about his match tonight. Flair said he was talking to Kazarian now. Styles said he’s wrestling Mr. Anderson and maybe he needs some pointers. Flair said “you’re A.J. Styles and you’ll be fine.” Flair went back to talking to Kazarian as A.J. looked jealous.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Rob Van Dam prepared for his match with Sting..

SINGLES MATCH
Frankie Kazarian defeated “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal: A few minutes into the match, Ric Flair strutted down the ramp and distracted Jay Lethal long enough for Kazarian to gain the advantage. Lethal couldn’t keep his focus off of Flair and it ended up costing him the victory over Kazarian. After the match, Flair jumped in and put a beating on Lethal. Kazarian was down in the corner grasping his knee. Lethal fought back and knocked Flair around the ring and then out of the ring. Suddenly A.J. Styles hit the ring and attacked Lethal. Kazarian got to his feet pushed Styles, and they started yelling at each other. Lethal drop-kicked both of them out of the ring. Flair was livid as Styles & Kazarian tried to prove themselves to big daddy.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Cameras found Shannon Moore laid out somewhere backstage..

SINGLES MATCH
Abyss w/Chelsea defeated Orlando Jordan by DQ: Orlando Jordan came out wearing some weird stickers on his nipples. Chelsea came out not looking too happy about being forced to be with Abyss for 30 days. Abyss was a little disturbed by Jordan’s nipple stickers. Midway through the match, Jordan shoved Abyss and he inadvertently knocked poor Chelsea to the ground. Abyss showed sympathy and went to check on Chelsea. Desmond Wolfe showed up and bashed Abyss with a pipe causing the disqualification. Wolfe & Jordan double-teamed Abyss in the ring until Big Rob Terry made the save! Terry got some revenge on Jordan with a big choke-slam! Abyss picked up Chelsea and carried her backstage.

IN THE RING
Rob Van Dam + Sting: Rob Van Dam came out and said he was there to talk to Sting. RVD said Sting wants a shot at the TNA championship and he’s got it at Slammiversary. RVD said he’s achieved a lot in his career and it’s amazing that their paths have not crossed until now. RVD said if Sting wants to show up now he’ll give him a preview – stating that he was messing the Whole F’n Show! Sting’s music played and video was shown of Sting attacking RVD back on March 8th when RVD debuted with TNA. Sting was shown up in the rafters saying what he did then was only a small taste of what he was going to do at Slammiversary. Sting said it would be Showtime at Slammiversary!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Hulk Hogan & Mr. Anderson: Hulk Hogan was shown talking one-on-one with Mr. Anderson, saying he’s backed himself in a corner and the boys in the locker room hate him now. Mr. Anderson said he knows, and admitted that he’s an asshole. Anderson said he’s been doing some serious soul searching and he’s going to turn over a new leaf. Hogan told Anderson to prove it to him tonight.

PLUG: They showed an ad for “Half Pint Brawlers”..

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Christy Hemme + Roxxi: Christy Hemme talked about Roxxi beating TNA Knockout champion Madison Rayne last week. Roxxi talked about breaking her ankle when she was so close to getting what she wanted and now she’s working her way back up to her dream. Hemme informed Roxxi that she has been given a title shot at Slammiversary and she said she was so excited to fight Madison again!

TNA KNOCKOUT TAG TEAM TITLES
The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Lacey Von Erich w/Madison Rayne) defeated Taylor Wilde & Sarita to retain the TNA Knockout Tag Team titles: Puppet the Psycho Dwarf joined Mike Tenay & Taz on commentary and made a lot of sexual comments about the TNA Knockouts. Lacey Von Erich pinned Taylor Wilde – which is an absolute CRIME! Puppet left commentary and wanted to party with the Beautiful People. They jumped around the ring and high-fived Puppet. Puppet slapped Velvet Sky on the ass and suddenly the Beautiful People turned and beat the crap out of poor Puppet!! Lacey knelt down to check out him, and they started rolling around the ring making out.

SINGLES MATCH
Desmond Wolfe (#7) defeated Jeff Hardy (#3): Kurt Angle joined Mike Tenay & Taz on commentary to scout his competition. Late in the match, the referee was knocked down and Wolfe knocked Hardy out with a sock full of quarters!

IN THE RING
Matt Morgan + Kurt Angle + Samoa Joe: Matt Morgan (referring to himself as “WE”) complained about losing the tag team titles and being forced to find a partner to challenge for the titles at Slammiversary. Morgan said “WE” are going to grant an open invitation to anyone in the back to be tag team champions with them at Slammiversary. Morgan said this was the chance for anybody to be a star! Morgan called out “the little bald guy in the back.” Morgan was talking to Kurt Angle, who was still sitting in on commentary. Angle left the broadcast position and joined Morgan in the ring. Morgan talked down to Angle, calling him “kid.” Angle said last time they were in the ring together he beat Morgan’s ass. Morgan laughed and asked Angle if he wanted to “their” partner at Slammiversary or not. Morgan took the first punch and Angle snapped and had to be held back by security. Morgan taunted Angle until Samoa Joe came out. Morgan slipped out of the ring and retreated. Joe found himself face-to-face with Kurt Angle. They looked at each other but both decided to back off..

SINGLES MATCH
“The Phenomenal” A.J. Styles defeated Mr. Anderson: A.J. Styles won in a relatively quick match by pinfall while pulling the tights. Anderson was shocked that he got beat so quickly. Anderson called for the microphone to drop and said Styles got him. Anderson said the coolest thing was Styles got him at his own frickin’ game. Anderson asked his assholes if Styles pulled the tights and they yelled “yes!” Anderson attacked Styles and beat on him until Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm) ran down and beat him up. Jeff Hardy flew down the ramp with a steel chair and chased the heels away to return the favor to Mr. Anderson. Anderson bumped into Hardy while playing defense and they stared each other down. Hardy extended his hand and Anderson accepted the handshake! Mike Tenay said “to me that cements the deal!” – Editor’s Note: what deal?
