AEW Dynamite kicks off with pyro and we see MJF in the back. He is holding his guaranteed contract and CMLL Championship. He says Mark Briscoe will pay and he tells Mark that he is looking in the eyes of the devil. He has no problem sending him to hell and Mark can go back to doing what God put him on this earth to do and that is being a loser, a blue collar bitch. He says Mark is not Championship material, he is white trash that got lucky and that’s why the fans cheer for him. They pity him and tonight, Mark’s luck will run out.
Out comes Jon Moxley for his match.
Jon Moxley with Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir vs. Speedball Mike Bailey with Kevin Knight
The bell rings and we are under way. Speedball with kicks onto Moxley in the corner. Bailey with chops and he climbs the second rope, punching Moxley in the face. Moxley gets out of it and he gets Speedball in the corner. Moxley gets on the second rope and he hits Speedball with right hand. Moxley with a body slam and he goes for the cover but Bailey kicks out. Moxley with forearms to the face and he throws Speedball to the ropes but Speedball with a kick to the face. Moxley falls to the outside of the ring, Speedball gets on the ring apron and Moxley gets back in the ring. Moxley with a poke to the eyes and down goes Speedball to the outside. Moxley distracts the referee and Shafir trips Speedball down onto the floor.
Kevin Knight gets in Marina’s face as Moxley throws Speedball back into the ring. Moxley getes in Knight’s face and both men are face to face. Speedball with a moon sault off the second rope onto Moxley on the outside of the ring. Moxley leaning onto the barricade as Speedball stands on top of the barricade and lands a double knees onto Moxley’s back.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Speedball with a drop kick off the second rope. Speedball with kicks followed by a shooting star press. Moxley goes for a suplex but Moxley gets behind Speedball and grabs him but Speedball with kicks. Speedball slams Moxley down and he climbs the top rope, landing a shooting star press. He goes for the cover but Moxley kicks out. Knight and Shafir argue on the outside and that distracts the referee as Yuta grabs Speedball by the leg. Moxley lifts Speedball up and slams him onto the mat. He goes for the cover but Speedball kicks out.
Darby Allin shows up in between the fans and he puts a rug on Yuta and both men fight to the back. That distracts Moxley as Speedball rolls Moxley up but Moxley kicks out. Speedball with an arm bar but Moxley gets out of it. Moxley gets Speedball in a chokehold followed by a brainbuster. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Jon Moxley
He leaves the ring and jumps the barricade with Marina as they go after Darby Allen.
Renee Paquette is backstage with Alex Windsor and Toni Storm. She talks about her match and how she will win tonight.
We cut to the outside of the arena as Moxley and Marina see a body in a while body bag. Darby Allin drives next to them in a truck and honks, driving off. They open up the body bag and there’s a paper with the words “Forbidden Door” written on it.
-Commercial Break-
AEW TBS Championship Qualifier: Queen Aminata vs. Skye Blue vs. Alex Windsor vs. Billie Starkz
The bell rings and we are under way. Starkz is thrown to the outside as Windsor and Aminata hit Blue with right hands. Aminata with a snapmare followed by a kick onto Windsor. Blue drags Aminata to the outside and she throws her into the ring steps. Blue gets back in the ring and Starkz with right hands onto Windsor. Blue and Starkz double team Windsor. Blue with a knee to the face and Aminata with a big boot onto Blue and Blue falls to the outside of the ring. Aminata gets on the ring apron and Blue trips her up followed by a neck breaker. Windsor with a senton onto Blue and Starkz with a splash onto Windsor.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Windsor with a Blue Thunder Bomb onto Blue. In comes Starkz and she lands a kick to the face onto Windsor. Starkz to the ropes but Windsor with a powerbomb. She goes for the cover but Starkz kicks out. Windsor with a sharpshooter onto Starkz but Aminata with kicks onto Windsor. Aminata with forearms to the face. Starkz and Blue get in the ring but Windsor and Aminata land German suplexes on them both. Aminata and Windsor with double headbutts to the face and all four women are down. Blue gets on the second rope but Windsor with a headbutt. Windsor climbs the second rope but Blue lands a sunset flip powerbomb cover but Aminata breaks it up. Aminata slams Blue and Starkz lands a senton onto Blue. Aminata rolls Starkz up but Starkz kicks out. Blue rolls to the outside and she grabs a chair, hitting Aminata in the face. She places the chair Aminata slams her back first onto the chair.
Windsor with a clothesline onto Starkz. Athena is about to get in the ring but Storm drags her to the outside and hits her with a right hand. Starkz grabs Windsor but Windsor rolls her up and gets the pin.
Winner: Alex Windsor
Out comes Mercedes Mone after the match and she gets in the ring. Mercedes and Windsor are face to first. Athena with the O-Face off the top rope onto Storm and Mercedes with a backstabber onto Windsor.
-Commercial Break-
Renee Paquette is in the ring and she introduces Kyle Fletcher with Don Callis to the ring. Callis grabs the microphone from Renee and he tells her she should be asking why Callis is building the largest numerical faction in the history of pro wrestling. He says the answer is power and when you have the gold, you control destiny. And since Okada aligned himself with the Callis family, he has three belts. And his favorite moment of the year was when Fletcher became the TNT Champion. He says Kyle may have retired a legend. He says Dustin Rhodes got what he deserved for stealing his moment at All In. He says Dustin may have had a storied career but a 60 year old man does not deserve to be in the ring with him. He says we don’t know if we will see Adam Cole again and that is thanks to him.
Fletcher says this is only the beginning of his legacy, every man that tries to take the title from him will suffer the same fate. Because he will be the greatest TNT Champion of all time on his way to becoming the greatest of all time.
Callis tells Kyle that he knows that he will be the greatest TNT Champion of all time and when you are great, they memorialize you with art. He spent the last two days slaving away and he can still feel the oil paint under his fingers. He unveils a painting of Fletcher with Callis and they both hug. Fletcher says he owes all of his success to Callis and he says he will defend the title on Saturday on Collision. Fletcher raises the title in the air as his music hits.
We cut to the back and Cope says he has his hands full with FTR and he knows he can’t get within 200 feet of them. He spoke to Tony Khan and next time it will be himself against Big Stoke. And if FTR interfere, their restraining order is void.
AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament: Brodido vs. Young Bucks
As the Young Bucks are walking down to the ring, the timing of the pyro is off. Justin Roberts is reading off a cue card which was given to him by the Young Bucks to read. He reads it verbatim, pronouncing the word comma and not introducing them properly.
The fans chant “Jobbers” as they get in the ring. Bandido takes down both Matt and Nick. Bandido tags Brody King into the match. He clotheslines both men down. Bandido is tagged back in as The Young Bucks fall to the outside. Bandido with a moon sault off the top rope onto both men. King with chops onto The Young Bucks.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, The Young Bucks double team King. Nick with a rake to the eyes and Matt is tagged in. Matt with a double axe. King with chops but they double team him. Matt goes for the cover but King kicks out. Matt tries to lift King up but King falls on top of him. Nick jumps off the top rope but King with a right hand. Bandido is tagged in but they double team him. Nick with a face buster onto Bandido and he lands a moon sault onto King. Matt goes for the cover but Brody breaks it up. Brody gets in the ring but he is thrown to the outside. Nick with a super kick onto Bandido. Matt with a stunner on to the outside. Bandido to the outside and Nick with a corkscrew onto him.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, The Young Bucks went for the EVP trigger but Bandido moves out of the way. King is tagged in and he lands a splash onto the Young Bucks in the corner. The Young Bucks fall to the outside of the ring and Bandido jumps off the second rope, over the top rope and lands a senton. He throws Matt back into the ring and lands a frog splash. Bandido goes for the cover but Matt kicks out. King lifts Bandido up and throws him towards Matt but Matt got his knees up. Nick hits King with a super kick and Nick is tagged in. Nick climbs the top rope but King with a right hand. King climbs the top rope and lands a superplex. Bandido goes for a splash onto Nick but he moves out of the way. Nick with a Canadian destroyer onto Bandido and land double super kicks onto King. They land the TK Driver onto Bandido and Nick goes for the cover but King breaks it up. Matt with a DDT onto Bandido off the ring apron. King grabs Matt and lands a death valley driver on the ring apron. Nick with a DDT onto King on the outside of the ring. Bandido throws Nick over the barricade. Both men on the barricade, Bandido gorilla presses Nick and throws him onto Matt. Bandido throws Matt back into the ring and he lands the 21 plex. He goes for the cover but Nick breaks it up. King with a senton onto Matt. Bandido runs towards King who kick flips him and he lands a splash onto Matt. Bandido goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Bandido
We cut to the back and Renee is with The Hurt Syndicate. MVP congratulates Brodido on their win and best wishes for the final two teams. He says they will be too happy to hurt the team they face at Forbidden Door. In comes MJF as Shelton and Lashley walk away. MJF tells him that with all due respect, MVP only needs him, no one else. MVP tells him that they hurt people, not MJF. “We” and he says MJF’s ego is too big. He gives MJF the thumb down but tells him that he loves him like a little brother. He tells MJF if he wins the title, Lashley is going to go after him and it won’t be business. It will be very personal.
-Commercial Break-
FTR and Big Stoke are backstage. Big Stoke insults Cope’s wife and kids. He tells Cope that he will beat him next week.
Renee Paquette introduces Swerve Strickland and out he comes with Prince Nana. He tells her that last year at Forbidden Door, he had to put down Will Ospreay and if he did that to his friend and family, what does Okada think he will do to him. He says Okada is a current Unified Champion but when they say that Okada is a generation wrestler, Swerve is someone that no one has ever seen before. Swerve says Okada has come after him three times and he has put the fear of God into Okada. He says this is a big match for Okada because he is facing off against the most dangerous man in AEW and that is him. He says this is also about his redemption because he lost two of the biggest matches in his career, back to back times, in London. He says he wants to continue his legacy by defeating Okada and he will stand in the middle of Okada’s body. And while Don Callis cries, everyone will scream and chant his house.
Mark says the time for words is over and tonight, he will do his talking with his fists. He tells MJF that tonight, he will pay for his sins. In comes Adam Page who tells Mark he has known him for 14 years. And he always looked up to him. He tells Mark that if he wins tonight and he can, he hopes he is the next one to challenge for the World Championship. Both men shake hands and Page walks away.
-Commercial Break-
MJF vs. Mark Briscoe
The bell rings and we are under way. Mark with right hands onto MJF. He climbs the top rope but MJF rolls to the outside of the ring. Mike to the ropes but MJF jumps the barricade. Mark with right hands as both men begin to fight up the stairs and through the fans. MJF begins to walk away and Mark throws him through the barricade and back towards the ring. Mark goes under the ring and grabs a table. MJF gets back up and grabs Mark but Mark throws him into the ring post and into the ring. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF once more rolls out of the way. MJF grabs the referee and Mark grabs the referee but MJF with a rake to the eyes. He throws Mark into the turnbuckle. MJF with a head lock but Mark gets to his feet. MJF with a modified stunner. He goes for the cover but Mark kicks out.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Mark with a splash in the corner followed by a modified suplex. Mark with a running kick to the face. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF rolls to the outside of the ring. Mark gets on the ring apron and lands a running elbow. He throws MJF back into the ring. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF rolls out of the way. Mark to the ropes and he lands a cannonball through the ropes and onto MJF. Mark with right hands followed by a chop to the chest. He places MJF on the table on the outside of the ring. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF rolls back into the ring. Mark runs towards MJF but MJF kicks him in the face and lands an Alabama Slam. He gets Mark in the Boston crab but Mark gets out of it and gets MJF in a cover but MJF kicks out. MJF throws Mark onto the ring apron but Mark slams MJF down. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF gets up and moves the ropes, tripping Mark up. MJF gets on the second rope and he gets Mark in a pile driver but Mark kicks MJF in the head. Mark gets out of it and he hits MJF with a right hand and MJF falls onto the mat. Mark lands the froggy elbow. He goes for the cover but MJF kicks out. MJF rolls to the outside of the ring and Mark places him on the table. Mark climbs the top rope and he goes for the elbow but MJF moves out of the way and Mark goes through the table. MJF would get in ther ing and Mark would get on the ring apron at the nine count. MJF would land a pile driver on the ring apron. He would go for the cover and on two, Mark would get his foot on the bottom rope but the referee would not see it and he would count to three.
Winner: MJF
Mark would try to explain to the referee after the match but MJF hits him with right hands. He takes out the diamond ring and he hits Mark in the face with it. MJF would kiss the ring but Adam Page’s music hits and out he comes. MJF runs towards Page and they begin to fight. Security comes down and breaks it up as MJF jumps the barricade and walks through the crowd.
Adam Page gets in the ring and he checks up on Mark who is down bleeding in the corner. Page jumps the barricade and begins hitting MJF with right hands but security tries to break it up. Both men fight back into the ring and as Page is about to go for the Buckshot Lariat, MJF rolls to the outside of the ring and AEW Dynamite goes off the air.
