- Zilla Fatu is at long last officially part of WWE after making his surprise debut during this week’s show, interfering in a Number 1 Contenders Match.
The match between Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana was supposed to decide who would face NXT World Champion Tony D’Angelo at the Heatwave event.
Speaking into the camera after WWE NXT went off the air, Fatu sent his warning to the rest of the WWE NXT roster. He said,
“New sheriff in town. The Main One. Zilla Fatu!”
Zilla is the son of Umaga, who was the brother of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. This makes Zilla a cousin of Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa.
He is a first cousin (once-removed) of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and the cousin of Jacob Fatu.
Fatu had most recently been wrestling for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion and lost the House of Glory Crown Jewel Title just days before his WWE debut.
Since Fatu entered professional wrestling, there have been reports linking him to WWE. He was in the crowd at WWE SummerSlam 2024 but did not debut as some had predicted.
