- On the today’s episode, Nakamura answered Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the US Title. Nakamura came out to his original theme, which got the fans excited. The duo put on a great match with some hard strikes and vicious attacks.
- Tama Tonga also made his return on WWE SmackDown. Wearing the warpaint from his Guerrillas of Destiny days, he took out Nakamura. This led to the entire MFT faction taking to the the ring to attack both men. Tonga was last seen in April ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41. This also led the return of the full MFT group which have not been seen in a month.
- Finally Zelina Vega returned to SmackDown after we have not seen her since August, with no updates, she joined forces with her husband Aleister Black costing Damian Priest the last man standing match.
- Note also: The Street Profits and Shinsuke Nakamura returned with their old themes song which is for the very very best.
