Internationally Acclaimed Federation Boasts Exceptional Card On Third Televised Pay-Per-View Event, November 30 Via Dish Network, iN DEMAND & TVN
Weston, CT-Ken Gelman of G-Funk Sports & Entertainment is proud to announce the Pay-Per-View and Video On Demand broadcast of “Man-Up!,” from the internationally acclaimed Ring Of Honor (ROH). Since the success of its first two TV events, “Respect Is Earned” and “Driven,” on EchoStar’s DISH Network and on all iN DEMAND and TVN cable systems, ROH has been inundated with rave reviews from around the world for its brand of high-flying, hard-hitting intense competition that many are branding “Combat Art.” One notable industry pundit from The Wrestling Observer was quoted as saying about Driven: “…it took only five minutes into the first match where you felt you were getting a product that blows away the big leagues of U.S. wrestling.”
“Man-Up” will debut Nov. 30 on the Dish Network, TVN cable systems, Bell ExpressVu in Canada, iN DEMAND and Canada’s Viewer’s Choice cable systems.
Taped in Chicago, “Man-Up” succeeds in large part due to the inclusion of such dramatic and groundbreaking bouts as the “ladder war” for the ROH World Tag Team Titles, featuring the Briscoe Brothers defending their belts against the upstart team of Kevin Steen and El Generico and several other top notch offerings.
“Man-Up is the greatest Ring Of Honor pay-per-view to date,” says ROH owner Cary Silkin, “capped off with a ladder war that’s beyond belief! Believe me, I was there!”
Adds Gelman, “The ladder war takes wrestling to a whole new level on `Man Up!’ This is a championship match with so many unbelievable twists and turns it’s sure to garner `Match of the Year’ consideration.”

A new entry into the American television audience, but long revered by a loyal underground fan base, the Philadelphia-based ROH-currently seen on Canadian, British and Japanese TV-appeals to the disenfranchised wrestling fan fed up with storylines which seem to take precedence over the kind of powerful ring competition that ROH specializes in. ROH, in fact, is seen to have the highest level of athleticism in its field today, which recently culminated in a sweep of the 2006 Wrestling Observer awards for “Most Outstanding Wrestler,” “Best Brawler,” “Best Major Wrestling Show” (ROH took four of its Top 10) and “Best Booker.”
