Movie star Mickey Rourke was in attendance at Cage of Death IX, taking in the sights and sounds of the Combat Zone to prepare for his upcoming new movie, “The Wrestler”.Mickey was so impressed with CZW and its fans that he’s coming back to the New Alhambra for 2 days in February (February 8th and 9th) to film scenes for the upcoming movie, and he wants the CZW fans, and Philadelphia’s great wrestling fans to be a part of it. Here’s the deal…

“The Wrestler” will begin filming scenes on Friday, February 8th at 3pm at the New Alhambra. Mickey Rourke is asking for those CZW fans who would like to appear in the movie as extras to appear at the New Alhambra at 3pm on Friday.

The only requirement to be a part of Friday’s filming are that you MUST have a ticket to SATURDAY (February 9th’s) CZW event. If you do not already have your ticket to February’s CZW show, they will be available for purchase when you arrive for the Friday taping.

For those fans that are unable to be at the New Alhambra on Friday afternoon, don’t worry.. you can still be a part of “The Wrestler”. Filming for the movie will continue on Saturday, February 9th during the CZW show. Because of CZW’s participation on this film, February 9th’s show will have a special start time of 7pm.

The producers of “The Wrestler” are trying to get an idea of how many people are interested in being a part of Friday’s filming. If you know, or think that you will be able to make it to the New Alhambra on Friday afternoon, please post your intentions in this thread.
