The Blue MeanieNEWS STORIES COMING OUT OF AUGUST 5’s CAPW NIGHT OF LEGENDS

BANE FINALLY CAPTURES THE BIG ONE
It was a wild and physical brawl involving blood and barbed wire, but the man who once unified the CAPW Heavyweight & Television titles, is once again the leader of the CAPW pack. Bane bested ECW Original The Blue Meanie to re-claim CAPW singles gold and finally bring closure to a journey Bane had been on since the start of the calendar year. However, Bane’s celebration was short-lived, as his past caught up with him very quickly. Ray Rowe, a CAPW Tag Team Championship partner of Bane over one year ago, returned to CAPW on this night and made a major statement, suplexing the 300+ pound Bane overhead. Rowe clearly resents Bane’s singles success since the disbanding of The Suplex Machines, but what could possibly happen if these two behemoths ever meet face-to-face one-on-one?

GARGANO & PROHIBITION VICTORIOUS, EARN TAG TITLE SHOT
Johnny Gargano spent weeks proclaiming his 2-1 win over Alex Shelley in their Best of Three series meant that not only was Johnny the better man, but that the TNA superstar was not even in his league. After refusing a proposed singles rematch, he agreed to a tag team encounter after a member of Shelley’s Paparazzi cost Gargano an important victory last June. August 5 was the culmination of this year-long competitive-turned-personal rivalry when Gargano and partner Josh Prohibiton bested the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin, with a sick spike-Drunken Driver for the three-count.

As a result of the victory, Gargano & Prohibition have earned an opportunity at the best tag team in Ohio today: Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing, Faith in Nothing, fresh off a victory over Tracy Smothers & Chris Hamrick at Night of Legends. FIN continue to up their level of competition, and continue to come out on top each and every time. What’s going to happen when two dominant tag team with a ton of momentum collide with CAPW Tag Title gold at stake? That match takes place at CAPW’s NEXT live event at a VERY special day and time: Saturday night, October 6 with a special 7:30 pm start time.

GREGORY IRON INJURED
Our thoughts go out to Gregory Iron, who suffered a severe concussion as part of the “King of Cleveland” Gauntlet Battle Royal on August 5. Iron spent the next several days hospitalized, and is now resting comfortably at home. Preliminary reports have Iron scheduled to return to ring action within the next couple of months.
