– Perhaps the biggest news of the night however did not occur in the ring, but was rather an announcement made by DJ Hyde. To the roaring approval of the CZW fans, Hyde announced his own personal signing for CZW’s huge TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 9 event. In a move which has opened eyes and put the locker room on notice, CZW has come to terms with Big Japan Wrestling’s ABDULLAH KOBAYASHI to make his United States debut live on JUNE 26TH at the Ultraviolent Underground in Townsend, Delaware! As if this year’s event needed any more hype, it is now officially and quite possibly the most anticipated Deathmatch tournament of all time!

– In addition to the announcement regarding one of Big Japan’s own in TOD, DJ Hyde (who just returned with Nick Gage and The Necro Butcher from a tour of Japan) announced the news that the Combat Zone has been waiting to hear for years. Starting at TOD, CZW and BJW have entered into a working agreement, one which will see a steady exchange of talent between the two most Ultraviolent company’s in the world and one that will ultimately bring together the very best deathmatch talent the world has to offer. Stay tuned for more details on these very exciting developments.

– ABDULLAH KOBAYASHI wasn’t the only name confirmed for Tournament of Death 9… the main event for ‘FIST FIGHT’ was one of the most talked about matches of the year coming in, and based on the carnage left following the match, it without a doubt delivered every bit the Ultraviolent slugfest that the fans expected. In his much requested return to South Philly, the original CZW Icon brought his A-Game and then some, as he outslugged the Ultraviolent Terminator, giving the returning ZANDIG not only a big win against Cult Fiction and Brain Damage, but also his entry into Tournament of Death 9! Following the match, Cult Fiction sought immediate retribution, sending MASADA to the ring to draw a line in the sand, and immediately challenging ZANDIG to a matchup at Tournament of Death. Without much hesitation, that match was signed, and added to the lineup for CZW’s June 26th return to Delaware! Who will win in a battle of two of the toughest men to ever grace the black and yellow ring?!

– The lineup for June 26th’s TOURNAMENT OF DEATH is filling up quickly, and as mentioned, seems poised to be on the most stacked deathmatch tournaments the Combat Zone has ever seen. Among the matches that have now been confirmed: ZANDIG vs. MASADA, JC BAILEY vs. DANNY HAVOC (if cleared to participate), and the American Deathmatch debut of BJW’s ABDULLAH KOBAYASHI! Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com for more news and announcements regarding the return to the Ultraviolent Underground!

– CZW homegrown star ADAM COLE took a major step up the ladder on Saturday at “Fist Fight!”. The blue chipper did what for 3 months seemed impossible… he defeated THE BLK JEEZ, and did it at his own game, overcoming the odds which included a returning (and now on his own) RUCKUS, to defeat SABIAN and become the new CZW JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! The energetic young contender is now a Champion, and one that appears poised to lead the already loaded CZW Jr. division into the 2nd half of 2010. In addition, Cole and the CZW fans received even more good news, as it appears that his tag team partner Tyler Veritas appears poised for a speedy recovery from a broken foot suffered just a month ago. CZWrestling.com will have more on these developments as they become available.

– Speaking of injuries, the CZW first-aid kit took quite the beating on Saturday. The Naptown Dragons SCOTTY VORTEKZ suffered a brutal beatdown at the hands of MASADA. After a visit to the hospital on Monday afternoon, x-rays confirmed what the Dragons had feared, a broken arm, cast, and a seat on the CZW disabled list until the arm recovers, and the couragous Drageon can return to action. Also, KYLIE PIERCE suffered a debillitating injury on Saturday at the hands of “The New Horror” Sami Callihan. The fan favorite Pierce suffered a fractured ankle following Callihan’s repeated attacks, and application of his new “Stretch Muffler” submission hold. As of press time, CZW does not know how long Miss Pierce will be out of action. Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com for more on these injuries, and news on when both Scotty and Kylie will be able to return to action. Everyone in CZW wishes both a speedy recovery!

– The implosion of NOTORIOUS INC. took another dramatic turn for the worse (or better depending on who you ask) on Saturday. After a hard fought and bloody battle between the two which saw DREW BLOOD score the first victory, business between the two was immediately taken to the next level. After the match, the brawl continued, spilling all the way up to the production booth, where the two were met by DJ Hyde, and agreed that the Combat Zone was no longer big enough for the both of them. As a result, the two have agreed to meet again in June, one more time, in a LOSER LEAVES CZW match! Who will survive in a battle between two former best friends, and tag partners? Who will see their career continue, and who’s will end at the hands of their former friend? We find out in a month in South Philly!

– In a move which will continue the 2010 expansion of the Combat Zone, CZWrestling.com has today learned of the confirmation of another exciting announcement which will affect the Combat Zone as we know it. As confirmed today by owner DJ Hyde, CZW is proud to announce that on Saturday, August 7th, CZW will debut in Lumberton, NORTH CAROLINA at the Robeson County Fairgrounds! Tickets will be available soon on CZWrestling.com! Stay tuned for more information regarding this exciting news!

– CZW also wants to thank all the fans who purchased, and participated in CZW’s first ever Pay-Per-Stream event in conjunction with HybridEnt.TV! While the stream was a success for some, CZW and Hybrid have learned of some technical difficulties which affected some people’s ability to watch the event. As a result, HybridEnt.TV has made the following announcement:
