Former WWE/WCW Cruiserweight Champion & former WCW World Tag Team Champion, Juventud Guerrera, was one of the special guests on this past week’s live edition (08/25/08) of Monday Night Mayhem, hosted by The Big Mosh, Blade, & DFL (presented by Sweet Sunshine Sauces: “the official finishing sauce of The Mayhem”) — which can be heard live & in streaming audio every Monday night (at 8PM ET/7PM CT), exclusively on The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network (www.MondayNightMayhem.com, www.OnlineWorldOfWrestling.com, & www.ITunes.com).

“The Juice’s” appearance on The Mayhem, as part of “The Summer of Mayhem 2008,” is now available for FREE in Windows Streaming Media, or via podcast/the MNM On ITunes (which will be re-launched on Friday, September 5th, containing The Mayhem’s finest since 2005).

Here are some of the highlights from Juvy’s interview on the show, provided by The Mayhem’s host, John “The Big Mosh” Masiulionis:

=========================================================================================

“The Juice is loose” — and we are not talking about former Buffalo Bills RB & NFL Hall Of Famer, OJ Simpson, but we are referring to the one & only Juventud Guerrera! Juvy we welcomed by The Mayhem Crew, and Juvy started things off by giving a shout-out to his “juicy, juicy fans.”

Blade takes the listening audience down “The Mayhem Memory Lane,” back almost six years to the day, when XPW presented its debut at the world-famous New Alhambra Arena (formerly The ECW Arena) & its invasion into Philadelphia, PA: “Hostile Takeover.” The Mayhem’s very own Blade was in attendance at that event for one of the most-famous Juventud Guerrera promos, an interview segment entitled, “The Juice Bar” (located here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5T_CmH_hHY). Juvy thanked Blade for the timely reference, and said he remembers that night very vividly, as he was “very loose” in Philly & was “just doing his thing.” He loved his time in XPW, and would like to be able to do future editions of “The Juice Bar” very soon. So, “Your Home Of Wrestling Radio” gave Juvy the carte-blanche to turn his appearance on “The ‘Ham” into “The Juice Bar” for one night only!

The speculation has been going wild about Juvy parting ways with AAA & joining its rival, CMLL — along with acquiring the services of the gorgeous & vivacious Lizzy Valentine. Juvy used The Mayhem as his first public forum since the news broke, saying “nothing is confirmed now,” but they are indeed trying to work out a deal for him to come into the promotion. Juvy has been competing in the NWE promotion in Spain, and he told Mosh, Blade, & DFL that some of the dates conflicted with some of AAA’s shows/dates, thus causing some heat in the process. That’s one of the main reasons he held his recent press conference, to let the promoters know he was more or less “independent.” In the interim/meanwhile, he is working with The SexiCools (his new team) & Lizzy. Juvy said he is very happy working in Mexico, as the business is doing fairly well there. In addition, he is also working on the expansion of his music career, which will include rap & hip-hop. Will “The Juice” surpass the musical talents of “The Macho Man” Randy Savage? The Mayhem thinks so!

Many of those superstars that Juventud had the chance to compete against in ECW, WCW & the WWE, including Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Super Crazy, & several others are still very successful in the industry today. It does not surprise Juvy that both Y2J & Mysterio (in particular) are doing as well as they have. He classifies both talents as “two of the tough guys.” Juventud also agrees with The Mayhem Crew that thousands of fans across the globe miss the 20-30 minute matches that were more prevalent in the mid-late ’90’s in ECW & WCW. He believes that those matches, feuds, & alliances he had with the three aforementioned names were some of the best in his career. Juvy thinks, from a crowd reaction, he is still very capable of having matches of that caliber, especially in the NWE. His ultimate goal is to get back to the United States & perform in front of/get over with his really juicy” fans in the U.S. & to possibly work with Jericho or Rey once again as well.

People who follow the internet over the years know that Juvy has been the subject of much controversy, going back to the late ’90’s in his time in World Championship Wresting. Mosh asked “The Juice” if thinks the world wide web has indeed helped his career, or damaged it in any fashion, as a result of some of the negative reports/stories about him. Juvy credits his belief in God & his “juicy fans” around the world for helping him get through any difficult times he has faced. And he has a comment for all of his haters: “I love them.” He does not consider himself a bad person, and just mainly wants to work. “I am on my way to do more.”

Juventud could very well see him back in TNA at some point in time in the future. He thinks his cruiserweight style mixes in well with that of the X-Division, and as many long-time fans of TNA know, he did compete in the World X Cup back in 2004 — including a match he remembers very well with Teddy Hart.

One of the highlights of Juvy’s WWE run featured him teaming up with Super Crazy & Psicosis as part of The Mexicools, and one of the team’s best performances was at The Great American Bash PPV in 2005 (at The HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY — the hometown of The Mayhem). Mosh, Blade, & DFL asked Juventud if he thinks The Mexicools angle ran its course. Juvy said the first time they came out together, they got a great reaction. He also remembered a backstage meeting that him & the rest of the SmackDown roster had with Vince McMahon, where Vince gave credit to the fury, fire, & excitement of the team. He does feel that there could have been some jealousy within the group to some capacity, as Juvy himself was the “mouthpiece” & spoken leader of the team. There was more than meets the eye there, as on television, the team looked so friendly & so tight. “That’s how the business is sometimes.” With regards to a possible WWE return, if given the opportunity, he would love to work with some superstars of the new ECW brand, and return to his “extreme” roots.

Towards the end of his time in WCW, Juventud was doing his own version/parody of the classic Rock promos (the now famous Hollywood A-list actor/star, Dwayne Johnson). Did Juvy ever have a chance to go one-on-one with the great one in any capacity. The answer may surprise you, but you can only find out by listening to this edition of “The Juice Bar”/Monday Night Mayhem!

To close out his phenomenal MNM appearance, Mosh, Blade, & DFL played the “Who’s Juicer?” game with Juvy, with questions from The Mayhem’s fans: Just who is juicer: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, or Jessica Simpson? The two titans from the Beijing Olympics: Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt? A clash of The Hardy Boyz: Jeff Hardy or Matt Hardy? The Undertaker or The Great Khali? Eric Bischoff or Vince McMahon? And what about the 2008 Presidential candidates: Barack Obama or John McCain?

All this & much more in this 45+ minute interview with “The Juice,” including his uncensored thoughts & takes on if there was heat on him after reportedly not being told to do certain high-flying moves at the end of his WWE run, why he feels Konnan is “a very conflicted guy,” how the business has changed over the past decade (both in the United States, Mexico, & over the globe), & why he is not a big fan of The Ultimate Warrior.

Juvy wants all of his fans all around the world to “get juicy” with him, by visiting his official website, www.JuventudGX.com, as well as his official MySpace page (located at www.MySpace.com/JuvyChic).
