Stage One: May 13, 2012 – NWA Hollywood – Glendale, CA
Colt Cabana beat Adam Pearce Sunday night at the NWA Hollywood TV tapings in Glendale, CA in a first blood match in the first of their best of seven matches series for the NWA heavyweight title. Match No. 2 takes place on 6/8 in Bridgewater, MA for New England Championship Wrestling in a Boston street fight. Match No. 3 will be 7/7 in Hopkins, MN for Steel Domain Wrestling (where both wrestlers worked early in their careers) in an I quit match.
Stage Two: June 8, 2012 – New England Championship Wrestling – Bridgewater, MA
The NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship was on the line as Colt Cabana (Champion) faced “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce (Challenger) in a Boston Street Fight. It was clear early on that the ring would not be able to contain this war as the action spilled to the outside and all over the Knights of Columbus. No chair, table, or wall was safe as these two warriors battled to every corner of the building. In the end, a bloodied Pearce fell victim to Cabana’s Billy Goat’s Curse submission hold, and despite not submitting, passed out from the pain and the blood loss, giving Cabana another victory and a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.
Stage Three: July 7, 2012 – Steel Domain Wrestling – Hopkins, MN
Stage Four: July 21, 2012 – Metro Pro Wrestling – Kansas City, KS
Stage Five (if necessary): August 18, Boston, MA
Stages Six and Seven, if they become necessary, will be announced as scheduled.
Ticket information, stipulation details, and more will be released as it becomes available.

APW TAG CHAMPS: VAIN & TALENT
NWA NORTH GEORGIA CHAMP: JAMES BLVD
NWA SOUTHERN STATES CHAMP: STRYKNYN
The night started with Anthony Henry, the winner of last weeks’ GameChanger Rumble coming to the ring and giving what he said was a “celebration” to his victory. He also talked about how it was ironic that last year at Freedom Fight, the main event was Anthony Henry vs. Stryknyne for the NWA Southern States Championship, and that the winner of that match was him. And that the same thing was going to happen at this years Freedom Fight as well. He also stated that his lost to Dustin Knight the previous week was a fluke victory. Enter Dustin Knight, who came to the ring and said that if his victory last week was such a fluke, that he should face him in a match again this week. Only this time, he should put his #1 Contender Spot at Freedom Fight on the line. The crowd went nuts for this of course. Henry told Dustin that he was going to prove to Knight that he was the better wrestler once and for all. And he accepted the match.
Scott Mayson def. Gavin Cross and Kameron Kade in a Triple-Threat Match after pinning Cross in 5:38
Hosting a very special Talent Show next, One-Half on the APW Tag Team Champions Jeremy Vain, came to the ring. He told the crowd about how sorry he was that J.T Talent couldn’t be there, but he just wanted everyone to know, that next week, there would be a Tag Team Turmoil match, to determine the #1 Contender’s to the Tag Team Titles. And would face him and his partner J.T Talent, (Better known as Untouchable Talent) for the championships and Freedom Fight. Enter the NWA North Georgia Champion James Blvd., being accompanied by the man he defeated last week to retain his title, and the man whose contract he now owns, Skirra Corvus. Who was sporting the butler look, tray, wine glass, water, towel, and holding the champs title for him as well. Blvd, stated the he was irate at Jeremy Vain, because it was Vain who eliminated him from the rumble last week, and that he had foiled his plan of main eventing Freedom Fight. He challenged Vain to a match. The match started out kinda fast, with Vain getting the upper hand on Blvd., Blvd. exits the ring, grabs the mic, and tells Skirra Corvus that he didn’t know why he was even wrestling the match, that he owned Corvus’ contract, that he should be wrestling the match for him, reluctantly, Corvus enters the ring.
Jeremy Vain def. Skirra Corvus by disqualification in 10:30
(Interference for James Blvd. caused the DQ.
Heavy Metal (Shane Hexon and Cali Cannon) def. Revolution and Ballenger by pinfall in 9:35
Normally, Revolution and Ballenger, make up the other half of Heavy Metal, but Hexon and Cannon stated before the match, that they had been slacking in the position, and that this was a match to get their priorities in line.
Jacoby Boykins def. Jamie Cruz by pinfall in 4:27
Brandon Parker def. Seth Delay by pinfall in 7:56
#1 Contenders Match for the NWA Southern States Championship
Anthony Henry def. Dustin Knight by countout in 19:38
(The action spilled into the outside towards the end of the match, after a series of vicious chops from both men, and Henry launching Knight in to the guardrail, the refs count was already up to 5, Henry gets into the ring and begins to distract and pull at official Dee Byars, with the refs attention deverted, Knight begins to get up, Jacoby Boykins races to the ring and plows Knight in the ring post laying him out cold! The count goes to 10, and Henry wins and is still #1 Contender to the Southern States Title.)
Keep in mind that it was Dustin Knight who eliminated Jacoby Boykins from the GameChanger Rumble the previous week.
Freedom Fight July 27th
Already Announced: Main Event for the NWA Southern States Championship Stryknyne(c) vs. Anthony Henry
Also NWA Hall of Famer and former 5-time NWA World Tag Team Champion Ricky Morton will be in action on that night.

NWA Main Event – Report for 6/14/12
Pretty good sized crowd tonight, more then 125, maybe 150.
Very loud at the start.
Match #1 – Shane Steel (with Victor Van Glorious) vs. Psycho Medic.
Medic got off work early for a change tonight, and wanted to get his match over with to watch the NBA playoffs. Me, I’m a Cleveland fan, so I can’t root for the carpetbaggers from Oklahoma City or the Heat.
Steel is really channeling his inner douche bag lately. Cliff spots early on what looks like a plant. A guy with suspenders, big glasses, and tape on the glasses. Just looks too stereotypical.
Steel has some new gear I wanted to check out, but didn’t want to look at his crotch too closely. Thankfully, Cliff is always willing to check out someone’s junk for me.
Psycho Medic wins with a roll up while Victor was busy arguing with the plant. The plant/nerd runs away from Steel and out the door, with Charles Cook close behind him.
Match #2 – Larry Cooter vs. Matt Madison
Matt is still in slow burn mode for his heel turn. Really selling it as well as he can while still being “face” enough to come out the good guy stairs and come sell his gimmicks at intermission.
A real plodding and methodical match, which really didn’t do Madison any favors. Cooter got to work as the bigger guy again, and uses mostly power moves, compared to Madison’s speed and more aerial attack. Cooter has some hard slaps on Madison’s chest. Madison makes a comeback and gets the pin with his feet on the ropes. Cliff has christened his heel turn as “Captain Clorox”.
Match #3 – Chris Norte (with Dyron Flynn and Prince Omar Al Kazan) vs. Shaun Fatal.
We attempt to see if Fatal can go a week without bleeding from the nose. This is a well balanced match, with both guys getting a lot of offense in. Norte keeps breaking out new moves every week. Omar is driving some rednecks in the front row nuts. Fatal has a bit of a problem with his legs being too long, a lot of times he is too close to Norte when he starts a kick, and hits him before getting good extension. Norte gets the win with a nice overhead muscle breaker. (Think he’s calling it the Colt 45?)
Match #4 – Dyron Flynn (Champion) with Prince Al Kazan and Chris Norte vs. Kaden Sade.
Kaden is very hyper tonight, bouncing all over the ring before the start of the match. Cliff just knows that win, lose or draw, Sade’s going to get carried out of this match. Sade is a very acrobatic young man, and his offense shows that. There were a few spots where they were out of synch, but Flynn would wait in place like a gentleman so Sade could hit his spots. Matt Madison was out in Sade’s corner to support him, and harangue him for not getting the job done. Flynn’s chops deflate Sade. Flynn pile drives Sade, but still can’t pick up the pin. Sade gets a total of three super kicks in, but can’t put Flynn away. Flynn finally hits a package suplex to get the win. Cliff and I are I think the only two who cheer for him. Of course, Sade is left lying in the ring, and Matt Madison stares down Flynn to save Sade from a further beating.
Match #5 – Seven (with Prince Omar Al Kazan) issues an open challenge.
Seven is wearing new paint, a point up pentagram on his chest, and white makeup on his face. Actually reminded me of an old WWE magician gimmick. Omar promises to bring us Devastation, Inc. next week. I’m not really digging the Seven makeup, but I think it might be a requirement for NWA lower level title holders. Chance Prophet, Kevin Douglas, Karagas, they all have the facepaint too. Omar issues an open challenge, and Eric Hodge responds to the challenge. I just found out this week that Hodge and Flynn were the FTW Tag Team Champions in the past. Hodge says Seven can’t keep him down, and goes after Seven. I don’t know what happened, but his punches and kicks look a lot better this week, at least, not any worse then Seven’s punches and kicks look. Seven survives Hodge’s flurry of offense and goes on his own offensive. Hodge survives, and makes a small comeback. Seven with a brogue kick that shakes the whole ring, but Hodge still won’t stay down. Hodge gets his daily dose of turnbuckle, thanks to Seven, but still wants more. Seven wins with a very uninspiring spinebuster.
Match #6 Awfully Hayes (with Victor Van Glorious) vs. David Knox and Eric Hodge
We took and intermission, but Hodge already looks gassed to start the match. Awful goes through the crowd with his “Oh! Oh! Oh!” (It’s Magic!!)
Hayes try’s to keep some heat on him, but it’s hard to compete with Victor and Kerry. But at least he’s not siphoning off heat.
The match itself is a fun tag match. Kerry does some great comedy heel things, and bumps well. Hodge eats yet more turnbuckle, and the faces usually end up getting double teamed due to distractions from Victor Van Glorious. Hodge gets in a good drop kick. Who is this man, and what did he do with Eric Hodge? Everyone is getting gassed at this point from the heat and the hard work. Hayes and Awful get Hodge on the middle rope, but Knox lifts them both up and suplexes them, with some help from Hodge going over the top. A ref bump sandwiches Chris Hobbs, and he goes down. Knox goes for the pin, but of course, there’s nobody home. Awfully Hayes picks up the win after Hayes uses the brass knuckles on Knox.
Match #6 – Prince Omar Al Kazan (with Dyron Flynn and Chris Norte) vs. Nick Iggy.
Iggy won this match last week. Omar comes out with sweat pants and ruby red wrestling shoes. They look like Dorothy, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow.
Iggy has green and yellow shorts for a change. Omar tries to get out of the match by offering Iggy money to take a dive. (We think it’s the $2 and car wash coupons that Van Glorious gave him for Shane Steel). Iggy thinks about it long and hard, but finally turns it down. The ref sends Dyron and Norte to the back. Omar does a lot of stalling to try to get out of the match, and after every bump bails to the outside. Iggy finally gets a few good hits on him. Omar loses his head scarf, and spends the rest of the match trying to hold it on. Flynn comes ringside and takes out Iggy with his X-Division Title, which he left in the ring when they were sent up to the locker room. The crowd is not amused.
The Fave Five
1. Nick Iggy. You can’t deny the love the kids have for him.
2. Psycho Medic. Always gets a good cheer from the crowd.
3. Kaden Sade. Hard to believe he just turned 18. When he fills out, he is going to be a spectacular wrestler.
4. Eric Hodge. Unheralded, but his work is really starting to look good. I love his style. Just keep your singlet on.
5. Larry Cooter. Yeah, I’m a fan of Cooter. Sue me.
Bringing the Heat
1. Dyron Flynn. Truly is the Main Event at NWA Main Event.
2. Seven. Is going to need people to step up to keep him interesting.
3. Omar Al Kazan. I hated that he took off his sunglasses during his match. They should always stay on. Always.
4. Kerry Awful. Wish I had video of his belly roll.
5. Victor Van Glorious. Always good at getting heat with everyone.

EWF brings the action live with iPPV and ON-Demand products
Empire Wrestling Federation of San Bernardino, the longest running independent professional wrestling promotion in southern California is launching a new avenue for which EWF fans can view the high-impact shows they might not be able to attend, every month. Starting with the XVI Anniversary Extravaganza hosted on May 4, EWF will be streaming multiple shows on iPPV for fans to view at their convenience, for a charge of $5. With this venture, EWF hopes to continue the years of success and tradition as it is known for throughout the southern California region, but also nationally. Currently the EWF roster carries 30 single wrestlers, six tag teams and six women wrestlers. Their events are hosted every month in Covina, CA at the Knights of Columbus and in San Bernardino, CA.
“We are very enthusiastic about the venture we’re entering with iPPV and ON-Demand,” EWF owner and founder, Jesse Hernandez said. “This is going to give all of the guys and gals in the back so much more exposure they could imagine and the fans that are no longer local, can still enjoy the EWF from wherever they are.”
EWF’s former wrestlers such as Melina Perez, Rico Constantino were signed with WWE for several years. Talent such as TJ Perkins and Christopher Daniels, who’ve graced the canvas of Ring Of Honor and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling are also EWF veterans. Go to > www.empirewrestlingfederation.com and purchase your event from the comfort of your home.
They return to the Cypress VFW on Friday, June 8 at 7:30 PM. As noted earlier, one match has already been signed. Dane and Rowe will have a huge hurdle to clear on their way to the top, as they will match up with the former NWA Lone Star Tag Team Champions, Silky Baines and DJ King.
