Eastern/Extreme Championship Wrestling:

  • October 1993: Peter Senerca made his Extreme Championship Wrestling debut as “The Tazmaniac”.
  • Taz started out in ECW, wrestling in a team called “The Tazmaniacs” with Jack Chetti (brother of Chris Chetti).
  • Taz eventually went solo using the name “The Tazmaniac”.
  • December 4, 1993 – ECW: The Tazmaniac and Kevin Sullivan defeated Tommy Dreamer and Shane Douglas to win the Tag Team titles!

  • ~~~~The anti-ECW crusaders came down and squared off with ECW until Tazz came down and went straight after Kurt Angle!

  • May 29, 2006 – RAW: Jerry “The King” Lawler cut a live promo insulting ECW and called Tazz a Jerry Lawler-wannabe.
  • June 2, 2006 – SmackDown: Tazz cut a promo and challenged Jerry “The King” Lawler to a 1-on-1 at ECW One Night Stand.
  • June 5, 2006 – RAW: Jerry “The King” Lawler accepted Tazz’s challenge to a match at ECW One Night Stand the following Sunday!
  • June 7, 2006 – WWE vs ECW: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler (for WWE) and Joey Styles and Tazz (for ECW) bickered all night long.
  • ~~~~The tension built until later in the night when Tazz and Jerry Lawler got up and started brawling and stiff punching eachother.
  • June 9, 2006 – SmackDown: Tazz stood up and confronted Michael Cole and told him he QUIT SD! to return “home” to ECW.

  • June 11, 2007 – RAW: Mr. McMahon was tragically killed (in storyline) when his private limousine exploded into a huge ball of flames.
  • June 12, 2007 – ECW on Sci Fi: Joey Styles and Tazz crediting Mr. McMahon for the rebirth of ECW and he’s the reason they’re on TV.

  • For months Samoa Joe spoke about a secret adviser who had stepped up to help guide his career in a better direction.
  • July 9, 2009 – TNA IMPACT: Sting called out Samoa Joe and demanded to know who Joe’s “adviser” was but Joe wouldn’t say.
  • July 16, 2009 – TNA IMPACT: Amazing Red defeated Samoa Joe by disqualification after Joe went crazy and assaulted Red.
  • ~~~~MAIN EVENT: “Mafia Godfather” Kurt Angle vs. Sting ended in a No Contest in a Six Sides of Steel Grudge match.

  • July 30, 2009 – TNA IMPACT: Hernandez defeated Samoa Joe w/Taz in what was considered an upset victory.
  • ~~~~After the match, Joe was shown throwing a fit backstage until Taz calmed him down and chased the camera away.

  • January 24, 2013 – TNA IMPACT: Taz revealed that he joined Aces & Eights because of his desire to be a member of a group that adheres to a higher power.
  • November 21, 2013 – TNA IMPACT: Aces & Eights was forced to disband after Bully Ray lost to Mr. Anderson, which also saw Anderson retain his career in TNA.
  • April 15, 2015: John Gaburick announces on his twitter page that Taz and TNA wrestling has mutually parted ways.
