Saturday night’s alright for Collidin’! It’s Forbidden Door Eve, and you know what that means…it’s time for AEW Collision!

Don Callis makes his way out to presumably sour the mood, the crowd booing as he introduces Hechicero first for our opening match. Rocky Romero, Josh Alexander, and Lance Archer follow along, the four heading to the ring as they’re teaming up in a big eight-man tag match to kick the show off. Out next are Skyflight (SkyFlight)? before Hiromu Takahashi comes out to a nice pop from the Glasgow crowd. They head down to the ring and after some time we get this match underway!

Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, Darius Martin and Hiromu Takahashi vs. The Don Callis Family’s Hechicero, Rocky Romero, Josh Alexander and Lance Archer

Takahashi and Alexander start things off, with both men going at it until Rocky gets involved. This leads to Hiromu sending Rocky into Alexander and then taking Josh down to the delight of the crowd. Tags made to Scorpio and Hechicero, who trade holds until Sky sends the luchador to the mat with a headscissors. Tag made to Dante, who gets some quick shots in before tagging in Darius. Alexander rushes in but is sent out by Darius, before Top Flight sends Archer out of the ring…only for the Murderhawk Monster to respond wiwht a chokeslam sending Dante onto the apron!

Back in the ring, Hechicero gets the upper hand on Darius for a nearfall. Chaos ensues after a tag to Archer, all until Dante makes the tag to send Lance to a knee. Distraction from Romero leads to a big throw by Archer, who follows with a lariat. Rocky with the tag now, hitting the ropes for speed and nailing a big dropkick on Dante. He shows off before tagging in Hechicero, who lands a springboard stomp before taking Dante down for a two count.

He goes after the ankle now, but Dante breaks free before Josh tags in to keep on the attack. Alexander shows he also has a power game about him, sending Dante down hard with a hip toss as we go to an ad break on HBO Max.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

Back from break, Dante and Archer go at it now with Lance catching Dante in midair…before Dante breaks free for a dropkick! Tags made to Sky and Romero, with Scorpio setting Rocky up for a spinebuster. He keeps on top of things for a dragon sleeper while Top Flight and Hiromu try and clear the ring. Hechihero tags in for an abdominal stretch as the Family takes control of things on the outside. Tag made back to Romero, who gets on Archer’s shoulders for an electric chair drop that sends him onto Sky for the two count.

Romero hits a Shiranui for another nearfall that’s broken up by Takahashi, who then gets a tag to go after Hechicero coming in. The crowd is chanting for Hechicero quite a bit by this point. Top Flight come running in, with Lance Archer trying to go after them before they hit a double suplex him to the mat! The ring is finally cleared leaving us with Romero getting another tag, but an attempted Sliced Bread on him leads to Sky dropping him to the mat. Skyflight keep the ring clear as Takahashi drops Romero with the Time Bomb for the win!

Winners via pinfall: Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, Darius Martin and Hiromu Takahashi

The celebration is cut short as Kyle Fletcher steps onto the stage to stare down the man challenging him for the TNT Championship tomorrow at Forbidden Door.

Video Package: A stop-motion vignette shows HOOK wrestling…himself…in the form of figures before throwing him off a FTW Championship frame. The figure runs off as we are reminded that HOOK is coming back soon.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Video Package: A look at the TBS Championship match at Forbidden Door, including a focus on the international talents competing in the latter 4-Way bout!

Back at ringside, Glasgow’s own Isla Dawn makes her way to the ring to a big pop from the hometown crowd. Out next is Megan Bayne, accompanied by Penelope Ford on her way to the ring before this match gets underway!

Isla Dawn vs. Megan Bayne

Megan quickly gets the upper hand on Dawn, laying into her before sending Isla into the corner as the crowd chants for their hometown fave. Dawn starts fighting back out of the corner, sending the Megasus the opposite side before looking for a backdrop driver. Nothing doing as Bayne counters out, hoisting Dawn up for a fall away slam followed by a pair of scoop slams. Make that a triple, the third one coming with extra oomph. Dawn fights back with a forearm, but gets sent to the ropes.

Bayne brings Isla back to her feet before dropping her to the mat once more, followed by a running boot and a big throw on Dawn. She mocks Isla before landing a clubbing forearm, but Dawn blocks a powerbomb for a set of kicks and punches. She gets sent to the corner but dodges Megasus for a kick. Knee strike this time, keeping Megan down as she takes her down for a one count. Megan is in the corner now as Dawn charges at her…and right into a lariat! Bayne hoists her up for the running Liger Bomb and it’s all over.

Winner via pinfall: Megan Bayne

Megan and Penelope leave the ring, and their exit is interrupted by the arrival of Willow Nightingale for our next match. Queen Aminata makes her entrance, entering the ring before Skye Blue and Julia Hart head down the ramp to get this match underway!

Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata vs. Skye Blue and Julia Hart

We start off with Willow and Skye, with Julia offering a distraction to help Blue get the upper hand. This is quickly met with Willow taking Skye to the mat not once but twice, before Julia tags in…only to be sent to the corner by Nightingale for a series of lariats, before taking Hart down for a two count. Tag made to Aminata, who lands a hard chop on the chest of Hart before sending her to another corner. Hart dodges out of the way but so does the Queen, and this all ends up with Hart going Old School on Aminata.

A lariat attempt gets dodged by the Queen, who sets up Hart for chocolate kisses before a distraction allows Skye to help Julia get a two count as we go to an ad break on HBO Max.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

We come back just in time to see Willow land a pounce on Blue, before getting the drop on Hart for a two count. Julia and Skye get a double suplex blocked, settling for a DDT that gets Julia another nearfall. Willow takes both women down with a clothesline before tagging in Aminata, and with Skye now tagged in she’s the target of the Queen’s wrath…until Blue fights back with some strikes. Aminata fights back before landing a modified Air Raid Crash for the cover…but Blue kicks out!

Skye dodges a double foot stomp but takes a swinging neckbreaker. Hart runs in and things break down leading to all four women down on the mat! Ref begins the standing ten count as the four begin to stir, fighting back to their feet until Skye and Hart look for La Mistica…ony for Willow and Aminata to break free! The ring is cleared out as Aminata catches Skye for a two count, before setting her up on the ropes for Off With Her Head to pick up the victory!

Winners via pinfall: Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata

The celebration is cut short as Thekla runs in for a beatdown on the Queen…until Nightingale sends her to the corner, driving her boot into the face of the Toxic Spider. Penelope Ford comes running in, followed closely by Megan Bayne to keep on the beatdown…until Harley Cameron comes out to a big pop from the crowd! Sadly, the Wrath is not felt for long as Bayne goes after Cameron…but here comes Kris Statlander to even the numbers out. Sure enough, this causes the baddies (lol) to take their leave from the ring, Kris calling them out some more as we go to commercial.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Backstage, we hear from Daniel Garcia and Daddy Magic, with Garcia talking about how he wishes he could be competing at Forbidden Door tomorrow, but he realized when Nigel asked him to be in his corner that it’s more important to be a good friend. He tells McGuinness to give it his all tomorrow.

We head to ringside for…

Max Caster’s International Open Challenge

Max addresses Shibata showing him respect after uh, “not lasting five minutes” and how much the fans respect him here in Glasgow. He leads them in that one chant and I feel tired just talking about it…anyways, he mocks the fans for their accent saying he can’t tell if they’re actually doing it. They’ll try again next time, maybe in about six years.

He asks for the countdown timer, and we will see who can go five with the Best Wrestler Alive…and it’s Zack Sabre Jr.! The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion makes his entrance to a big pop and this match gets underway!

The two lock up and Sabre quickly lands some quick holds on Caster, eventually taking him to the mat as the crowd go between chanting for ZSJ and Caster. Max starts to fight back with some kicks, but Sabre goes for an abdominal stretch…taking Caster down to the mat and keeping it locked in. Caster taps out!

Winner via submission: Zack Sabre Jr.

Sabre has no time for celebration, choosing instead to stand off with Nigel McGuinness at the commentary table. After the staredown they eventually shake hands…but Nigel doesn’t let go, telling Sabre to keep the belt warm for him tomorrow. Sabre talks some more smack before leaving up the ramp…just as Anthony Bowens comes running down to attack Max Caster! The crowd boos as Bowens continues the attack, and out comes Billy Gunn with new music (and slightly DX-inspired visuals) as he comes down to deal with Bowens. We see Caster crawling out of the ring as Bowens shouts at Gunn before we cut away.

Backstage, Harley Cameron talks to Kris Statlander about whether she got her money from the big tag match they had weeks ago. Kris says the money supposedly came from the Young Bucks, but kept coming up as insufficient funds. This leads to Harley going into the “Male Extras” locker room to presumably talk to the Young Bucks…coming back out to say they’ll have it next week.

Kris says they said that last week, and suddenly the Death Riders pop up with Jon Moxley going into the locker room while Claudio, Yuta, Marina, and Gabe Kidd all stare Statlander and Cameron down. Yuta tries to have a conversation with Statlander until Mox comes out with a bag, indicating he’s gotten the money Kris is owed as he hands the bag to her before the crew leave. Harley calls this a success and we cut away.

Back at ringside, Tomohiro Ishii and Konosuke Takeshita make their way out for our next, and we look at the latter winning the G1 Climax in New Japan as this match gets underway!

NJPW G1 35 winner Konosuke Takeshita vs. Tomohiro Ishii

The two trade strikes like crazy as the crowd boos Don Callis for just being around. Takeshita takes to the ropes for a shoulder tackle, but Ishii doesn’t budge. He responds in kind, but it’s the Alpha who gets the upper hand as he sends the Stone Pitbull down to the mat. Tomohiro fights back, sending Konosuke over the top rope to the outside before following him to the barricade for some more hard strikes.

He brings Takeshita to the apron, but the Alpha cuts him down for an apron DDT sending him down to the floor as we go to an ad break on HBO Max.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

We come back in time for a suuuuuuuuperplex from Tomohiro Ishii, sending Takeshita down to the mat…but Konosuke responds with a series of strikes when he gets back up, ending in a big delayed vertical suplex. Running knee in the corner, but Ishii manages to lift him up and sending him down to the canvas for a two count. He stays on the attack for another nearfall, but gets caught with a Blue Thunder Bomb by the Alpha who gets a nearfall of his own.

(Justified) “this is awesome” chants erupt as the two continue to go at it, with Ishii landing a big lariat in the end for the cover…but Takeshita manages to kick out to save the match! Brainbuster gets blocked, and Takeshita hits a poison rana…only for Tomohiro to get right back up. Hard strikes come in fast between both men, with Konosuke landing a knee that forces both men to the mat as the crowd cheers. They get to their feet for a set of double lariats, with Takeshita managing to drop on top of Ishii for a two count.

Takeshita gets back to his feet, setting the Stone Pitbull up for Raging Fire and the victory!

Winner via pinfall: Konosuke Takeshita

Callis enters the ring to boos as he celebrates with Takeshita, before we go to commercial.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

We head to ringside as Big Bill makes his entrance, and Mark Andrews joins us for this match as Bill gets the jump on him to get things underway!

Big Bill vs. Mark Andrews

Bill stays on the attack, laying into Andrews until Mark manages to mount a comeback…for like 45 seconds or so, before a big side slam from Bill ends things in victory.

Winner via pinfall: Big Bill

Bryan Keith grabs a pair of chairs from ringside, setting them up as the crowd sings a song for Bill…who drops Andrews onto the chairs with a big chokeslam. Nice knowing ya, Mark Andrews. Bill and Keith make their way through the crowd who are absolutely loving the big man…just as Gates of Agony make their way out for the next match. Grizzled Young Veterans make their way down next, and this tag match gets underway!

Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake)

Liona and Drake square off first, with Toa quickly offsetting an early attack by Drake before tagging in Kaun. Bishop continues this until a tag is made to Gibson, and GYV gets into it with some great double-teaming before Drake gets the tag back. Ricochet tries to intervene but to no avail, as the match eventually spills to the outside with GOA getting the upper hand sending Drake over the barricade as we go to an ad break on HBO Max.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

Back from break, tag is made to Gibson and he goes after the GOA in the ring. Liona is sent out before Kaun gets hit with a Saito suplex, but a pin attempt is broken up by Toa. GYV respond by setting Liona up for a big dropkick by Drake right on the chin, sending him out as GYV lay out Bishop Kaun for a nearfall. Gibson is tagged back in now, but gets sent out of the ring with a pounce by Lion before they take Drake out of the ring…and as Gibson enters the ring again, he gets caught with Open The Gates as the GOA pick up the win!

Winners via pinfall: Gates of Agony

Backstage, we hear from Gabe Kidd as he explains bringing the War Dogs into play and aligning himself with the Death Riders. This leads to the War Dogs challenging The Opps for a World Trios Match at Forbidden Door, before we go to a commercial.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

There’s been enough talk, it’s TIME for our main event as Paragon make their way out, with the Young Bucks introduced as “Rod & Todd” before this match gets underway!

Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. Paragon (Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong)

Rod (or is it Todd…never mind it’s Matt) starts things off with Kyle, who manages to take Matt to the mat with an armbar. O’Reilly breaks the hold but tags in Roderick for a double team, keeping Nick away for a double snap suplex on Matt. Nick tries to intervene again but is cut off, and he gets so frustrated that he kicks the announce table AND the barricade, hurting each foot in the process.

Back in the ring, Paragon keep on the attack as Kyle tags back in, until Matt finally makes the tag to Nick, who lands some hard strikes taking Kyle down. Matt tags in but is cut off by Kyle, who tags in Roddy for a backbreaker twice over followed by a dropkick. He runs the ropes for a set of strikes on Matt, dropping him to the mat before Nick lands a springboard facebuster on Strong…only to accidentally take out Matt on the outside!

This gives Paragon an opening for a moment, before the Bucks take control with a double team for a two count before Strong breaks it up. Nick lands a superkick on O’Reilly, sending him to the ropes to set up for a TK Driver off the apron as we go to an ad break on HBO Max.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

Back from break, Roderick dodges a couple superkick attempts for a back suplex before crawling over for a tag…but Kyle gets pulled off the apron before Matt hits a snapmare on him. Back in the ring, Nick takes Strong down for a two count before tagging in Matt. More Bang For Your Buck is dodged, and Roderick sends the Bucks colliding (ha!) into each other in the corner instead! Tag made to O’Reilly, who unleashes hell on Nick Jackson before landing a knee on Matt. He ends up taking both men down with a double dragon (HA!) screw leg whip sending them down hard.

Matt is out of the ring now as Paragon double-team Nick for a nearfall. Kyle goes for a cross arm breaker as Strong hits a backbreaker on Matt. Kyle gets the arm bar locked in, but Nick manages to get a boot on the rope for a break. Things break down as the Bucks land a brief superkick party, before getting laid out leaving all four men on the mat. They make it back to their feet with Matt and Kyle officially the legal men by this point, trading strikes until Kyle locks in a guillotine…but Matt powers out for a Northern Lights suplex!

The locomotion picks up steam, taking Strong down as well before sending Strong out for a dive by Nick. Sliced Bread connects but only gets Matt a two count as Kyle kicks out. Meltzer Drive gets blocked before Paragon land a combo for the cover, only for Matt to kick out at two. High and low gets another nearfall broken up by Nick, who takes End of Heartache as Kyle cinches in an ankle lock on Matt.

We see Don Callis running down to the ring, blatantly distracting the referee while Okada hits a Rainmaker on O’Reilly. Strong looks to block one coming his way but takes a double superkick, allowing the Bucks to hit a Meltzer Driver on O’Reilly for the win.

Winners via pinfall: The Young Bucks

Okada celebrates with the Bucks in the ring before they attack Paragon in the ring. This comes to a quick stop when Swerve Strickland makes his way out, with Prince Nana feeding into the weird trend of people dancing when they’re meant to make the save in pro wrestling. The ring is cleared of everyone but Okada, who looks ready to fight…until Strickland slides into the ring, as the champ quickly escapes.
