Ricochet has strongly criticized WWE, saying the company “kills legacies and love of the sport” in professional wrestling.
The AEW National Champion said in a recent interview that his five years on the WWE main roster “tarnished” his wrestling legacy and felt like being “snapped out of existence by Thanos.”
Ricochet later addressed his comments on social media, naming Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Apollo Crews, and others as wrestlers whose legacies have also been destroyed by WWE.
Ricochet left WWE in June 2024 and then signed with AEW, debuting for the promotion at All In: London 2024.
