Here are some of the highlights from Velvet’s interview on the show, provided by The Mayhem’s host, John “The Big Mosh” Masiulionis.

===============================================================================

The Big Mosh, Blade, & DFL welcomed Velvet to the show for her debut appearance as part of The Mayhem’s Cino de Mayo party. After some baseball banter to kick things off (as Velvet is a huge NY Yankees fan), “Your Home Of Wrestling Radio” continued on with their Sacrifice Pay-Per-View preview…as Velvet will be competing in the first-ever TNA Knockouts Women’s Battle Royal — where the winning knockout will be getting a shot at Awesome Kong‘s TNA Knockout Women’s Championship…and the loser of the match will get their head shaved bald! Blade jokingly asks if TNA will be “flying in Beefcake to do the head shaving?” Velvet went on record saying that she will not be leaving the PPV bald, and she promises her fans that. “It’s not going to happen…They’ll have to kill me. They are going to have to drag me out kicking & screaming.”

Velvet is very much in favor of continuing to expand the Knockouts division within TNA — this of course, coming off the heels of Daizee Haze & Shantelle Taylor recently having the opportunity to step into the six-sided TNA ring. She strongly believes that with this expansion, the wrestling fans who love women’s wrestling will be rewarded. In comparison to the WWE, who Velvet says “throws their girls in lingerie and bra & panties matches,” she feels that TNA does have focus on the Knockouts, where WWE’s main focus is never on the divas. “The beautiful people” team of herself & Angelina Love has delivered to this point for TNA, and Velvet very much appreciates the fact that the company lets the Knockouts be themselves. “Every girl has their own gimmick, look, & style.” Velvet also said something that many fans around the world passionately take a strong stand on: “TNA does not shove us down people’s throats.”

Shifting gears ever so slightly, Blade also goes on record saying that unlike some other companies, TNA has “no known escorts on their roster either.” Yes…being the hot topic of the past few days, Velvet chimed in with her thoughts on this story: “That’s disgusting.” Velvet does not know the full details of the story, so she could not necessarily go on record saying what she wanted to say, but she did tell Mosh, Blade, & DFL that a few sources (who are very reliable to the story) have spoken to her, and those individuals told her that they would not be surprised if the allegations turned out to be true. She does not for one minute though believe the latest reports of a “possible mistaken identity” though.

Velvet also wished to give the fans listening around the world an update on Gregory Helms & his recovery from his neck surgery (**Note: This interview was conducted this past Monday night, prior to Helms being assaulted at a bar later on that night.**). During the interview, Helms was actually watching “Rescue Me,” and Velvet said that Gregory is now back in the gym, doing some cardio, eating right, & hopefully, by the end of the summer, he could be back full-time.

You fans around the world now have an opportunity to interact with The Mayhem’s newest edition, “Miss Mayhem” herself, the beautiful & vivacious Helena, who appears to now be endorsed by TNA’s “Beautiful People” themselves, Velvet Sky & Angelina Love. Check out our official website (www.MondayNightMayhem.com), The Mayhem On MySpace (located at www.MySpace.com/MondayNightMayhem), as well as her very own brand-new MNM MySpace page (located at www.MySpace.com/MissMNMayhem). Without a doubt, you will be seeing plenty more of this beauty as part of our upcoming “Summer Of Mayhem 2008.” Could Helena be the next member of “Velvet-Sky Entertainment?” You will have to wait & see…

Velvet let The Mayhem Crew in on a worldwide exclusive: that the fans of TNA can see Angelina & herself together for their first-ever TNA house shows at the end of June. Stay tuned to www.TNAWrestling.com for more information on on-sale dates, and how you can mingle with these two hot TNA Knockouts!

Velvet also addresses plenty of additional topics in this near 20-minute interview, including her uncensored thoughts/takes on her preparations for a Ladder Match, the makeovers she has planned for the other TNA Knockouts in the future, why she classifies Awesome Kong as “one tough b*tch,” who she sees coming out of the “Deuces Wild” Tag Team Tournament at Sacrifice (her prediction may surprise many), the night she first met Matt Hardy at WrestleReunion II, tagging up with “what’s her name” at Ballpark Brawl in The Mayhem’s hometown of Buffalo, NY, & much more Cinco de Mayo goodness!
