Just after making her return to WWE following a hiatus to film her role in Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, Liv Morgan is once again sidelined — this time due to injury.
Morgan suffered a shoulder injury during her match against Kairi Sane on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW in Green Bay, WI. Fightful Select is reporting that the injury will require surgery, putting her on the shelf for the foreseeable future.
The timing couldn’t be worse, as Morgan was involved in several high-profile storylines. She was building toward a major showdown with Nikki Bella, which was expected to be one of the marquee matchups at the upcoming WWE Evolution 2025 all-women’s pay-per-view event. She was also in the midst of a rising rivalry with IYO SKY over the WWE Women’s Championship, with a title bout likely in the works.
On top of that, Morgan currently holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside Raquel Rodriguez. With her surgery and time off, the titles will likely be vacated.
It is said that this is the worst case scenario. She’ll be out for a lengthy amount of time – likely months.
Stay tuned to eWn for more updates on Liv Morgan’s injury status and what it means for WWE moving forward.
