In what could be potentially Dolph Ziggler’s final Smackdown in his long WWE Career, The Miz pulled out all the stops in trying to get inside the head of Dolph Ziggler. His psychological warfare began with a mock tribute to Dolph Ziggler’s in a video entitled “The Success of a Failure”. One highlight included Sheamus rubbing Ziggler’s face near his backside during a match.
After Ziggler delivered an emotional rebuttal to this video, the Miz proceeded to “lift Dolph Ziggler’s spirits by reuniting Dolph Ziggler with Kenny and Mikey of the Spirit Squad. However, this was clearly not a “This is Your Life” moment as Kenny and Mikey attacked their former Spirit Squad stable-mate.
The Boss is back on top of the Raw woman’s division again. Sasha Banks dethroned Ric Flair’s baby girl to win the Raw women’s championship in the main event this past Monday. The highlight of this match was witnessing Charlotte’s incredible corkscrew moonsault off of the top rope. This was the second time that Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks for the Women’s championship on a Monday Night Raw in the past three months.
I also was a big fan of the video package that WWE used involving Sasha/Charlotte before the main event. WWE should use these type of video packages more to build up main events.
The mind games between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton reached a fever pitch on Smackdown Live this past Tuesday. Wyatt was on the prowl for Randy Orton this past Tuesday in the backstage area. However, Randy Orton would lure Bray Wyatt into a trap courtesy of a rocking chair. Like a mouse chasing the big piece of cheese, Bray Wyatt wandered right into the trap. Once inside, Randy Orton slammed the door shut and gained the upper hand in this battle of mind games.
After a period of frustration, Bray began to summon and talk with the woman known as Sister Abigail. He asked her to “take him home.” Much to Orton’s chagrin, she did. Fans were treated to another appearance by Sister Abigail, in the flesh, at No Mercy.
