CZW returned to “Markland’s Little Acres” in rural Townsend, DE for Tournament of Death 9 before a loud, large and enthusiastic crowd who got a hot day full of ultraviolence yesterday afternoon.

The day opened with a ten bell salute for Trent Acid with Devon Moore and DJ Hyde (who was having a tough time getting through talking about Acid) in the ring.

In a truly eerie moment for those of us sitting on one side of the area set up for the show (the one side where there were large trees providing some shade)…. as the ten bell sounded, the one cool breeze of the entire day came through our side of the seating (near a grove of trees) and stopped as the ten-bell ended. When I looked at the others I was sitting with (a family associated with CZW), they looked at me and said “Did you feel that too?”. There wasn’t a one of us who had a thought that it was anything but Trent Acid sending us a shout-out.

Who’s Raw’s new mystery General Manager?

Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, tries to figure out who is the new “anonymous” General Manager of Raw. He looks at the most likely candidates (and a few long-shots).

Well, Bret Hart is out and now the new General Manager has “Ultimate Control”. He works from the shadow, through e-mail. I wanted to go through what I consider the top contenders to the top Raw job. Some of these are wild long-shots, some are pretty obvious choices. I’ll give odds on each man or woman.

The Kingfish Arnie Katz delivers his and analysis of the 6/21 episode of RAW.

RAW continues to steer a helter-skelter course. It fires off angles and gimmicks at a great rate, but without a lot of thought about how they will develop down the road.

The promotion isn’t doing much long-range planning, according to internal WWE sources, which sometimes results in gimmicks that look great at first, but then become ineffective, o even downright embarrassing, a little farther down the road.

Florida wrestling legend the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes has announced plans to return to his roots and begin a month long tour dubbed “The American Dream Tour.”  The tour consists of five feature dates throughout the state of Florida in which Rhodes will meet and greet fans during autograph sessions with Florida Championship Wrestling.  The tour will also include a special in ring return as The Dream will team with  his WWE Superstar sons Goldust and Cody Rhodes in Kissimmee, FL.
